I spoke with Mr. Copeland as he was closing and we had our van towed there. The next morning Mr. Copeland was there early and he, Dex and George got the van into a bay and they looked at it right away. George and Dex diagnosed and solved the problem and got us back on the road in a fraction of the time I expected and at a fraction of the cost I was fearing. Earl and his mechanics are very competent, professional and kind. What could have been a bad experience turned out to be a pleasant one that I will not soon forget. There were also times when I needed services they didn't offer, and instead of trying to upsell or take on work outside their scope, they were upfront and referred me elsewhere. I appreciated that honesty. In addition to this, there was a time a brought a foreign vehicle I was considering purchasing for my daughter to Pete's Auto for an inspection. They performed a thorough evaluation and were honest about the condition of the car, ultimately saving me from purchasing a vehicle that would have required nearly $5,000 in repairs that the local dealer DID NOT disclose despite saying they had completed a bumper to bumper inspection. That level of transparency and expertise reinforced my trust in their recommendations. One thing I think is important for people to understand, especially when reading negative reviews, is that high-mileage foreign vehicles will require costly repairs regardless of where you take them. That's the nature of the vehicle, not the shop. At that point, it becomes a personal decision whether to continue investing in the car or move on to something with lower maintenance costs. We ended up paying less than half of what they were going to charge. Don't trust their prices! Felt like they were taking advantage of the situation. Go somewhere else. First of all no one reduced the price of anything for us. The man behind the counter was actually rude about it. You cannot write a response that tries to make it sound as if your prices are at all reasonable and you were being 'nice'. We paid less than half to a different auto shop NOT yours. They did not take advantage of our situation and try to over charge us.
