The original middle step was only 3" wide. They took out 2 sections of walkway and the middle step. They framed out the middle step to 5 ' wide and over 30" deep and extended the walkway to match. After all that work they came back and added two railings with a 6" drop in the middle. At the last minute, I wanted a change in the color of the balusters, from white to black. No problem, done. But Will at Roof Pro showed us that only part of the roof would be a problem. We went with Roof Pro, and years later I can say for sure that Will was correct. Another much cheaper company told me at that time that a skylight had to be replaced, but Will showed me that what looked like damage under the skylight was just a bad paint job at the top, so we didn't have to replace it. Will also has been so responsive to me for all these years. 2 or 3 times when we had internal damage, he came right out to evaluate. Only one of those times did he find a roof repair needed ( the others were not caused by the roof). But his responsiveness was impressive ( which is important if you think that water is seeping down into your home)! I am now having another skylight replaced and some more roof work that was finally needed. I trust Will so much that I did not get another quote. Also, in this new job I needed metal put over an unsightly area on the side of a lower stone wall, and since they were using metal for flashing on a part of the roof, they agreed to put some of the metal on this other area. Once again, we were exceedingly pleased with the results. Several of our windows had looked terrible prior to the cleaning due to oxidation of the glass from aluminum window screens. Chuck, the owner, and his crew used a special cleaning process on those windows to restore their original shine. One was unavailable for 2 weeks (with major rain predicted), one came in with a higher price, and Dan Parks Home Improvement came in with a more reasonable price. I found this company to be reputable, and they were also willing to work on the weekend to get things finished before the weather turned rainy again. I was happy with the quality of the work, the timeframe for completion, and the price. After they completed this work, I hired them to do some other repairs, including work on the chimney (which I already knew I was going to have to do eventually) and repairs to gutters with installation of gutter covers (another project I had been considering). Edit for follow-up: This company also spoke to my insurance adjuster and helped me get approval to proceed with repair without waiting. The insurance adjuster visited this morning, inspected the roof, and approved the claim in full (no adjustment except for the deductible).
