Taken by ambulance--I was there for over 7 hours with head injuries and in pain, needing staples, and I told them I believed I had been drugged and possibly sexually assaulted. They said they don't do that kind of testing and I'd have to be transferred to Centennial. After so many hours, I just wanted to go home. I didn't even see Dr. Bahner until 10 minutes before I was discharged--he barely spoke to me and had no bedside manner. He joked with the nurses instead of addressing my situation. I was discharged still covered in blood, with no instructions and no compassion. To make matters worse, they labeled me as intoxicated and even recommended AA in my paperwork, which was insulting and inappropriate. I had to look up my own aftercare, like when to wash my hair or remove the staples. This experience left me deeply traumatized. I wouldn't recommend Summit to anyone--especially not to victims of sexual or physical assault. They failed me when I needed help most. Later, I found out Summit gave me incorrect info--Centennial doesn't do rape kits. I went to Vanderbilt, where I finally received proper care. Summit ER has since been reported by several organizations for their unprofessional and discriminatory behavior. I sincerely hope it leads to change. Victims deserve better.‍‍

On the intermediate floor there are some issues 1. How does a hospital this big NOT have house keeping on the weekend to the point that no floors have clean linens or towels? They didn't even bother to call and ask just said they are short on the weekends everywhere but I was welcome to go to different floors and ask. 2. On the weekends how do they NOT have enough medical supplies and no way to replenish them? The nurse didn't have all the dressings necessary to cover iv lines so she improvised 3. If a person is in here alone, my husband had people to take care of him not everyone does, they don't even offer to give them a shower. They allow them to sit in here with no personal hygiene. No teeth brushing nothing. 4. Is there not a schedule to change linens? Again people who are incoherent aren't able to ask. I have had to ask AND change them twice. One had betadine on them and one had blood on it. They just let them lie in it 5. While the nurses aren't rude, when I'm not here I call EVERY shift and ask all the necessary questions. How does important factors such as bladder scanning to be done NOT get passed down at shift change? So he would have just sat here full if I hadn't called. His bladder was to max capacity when they checked. 6. If the nurses are supposed to notate how much one eats off every tray then why are family members not only fighting the nurses but doctors too saying hey they haven't eaten in over 10 days where's the supplements. With still no solution 7. Why is it so hard for someone to tell you what is the plan going forward? Are the doctors overwhelmed? So much so they don't have time to answer questions or notice someone has had a migraine for a week straight and think they may want to do something?

They didn't check me in until after 7am, but the lady at the desk was very sweet and friendly. The bathroom absolutely didn't get a night cleaning there was tissue all over the floor.the PFT technician Kyle was fun and dare I say a bit of a masochist. The breathing machine tubes had black inside and Kyle assured me I was not breathing any of the black stuff. He did wipe the outside off with his finger and some of the black came off. I told him that looks BAD! He agreed and said he needs this machine serviced.

Without a 5 digit code I could not connect with anyone at their headquarters. Considering the 2 reviews already given by Change Healthcare clients, anyone who could solve the problem is unreachable. When I asked for a supervisor, I was told they were "in a meeting" by a nervous employee. The employee could not help, but repeated the same statements. I can't speak for the clients who already posted, but as a provider I will not do business with Change Healthcare clients.

My spouse just had surgery at another surgery center and we knew what we paid them, so we knew this was about double what it should have been. We called them ahead of time to check on this, and they insisted it was correct. Low and behold when the insurance payment was made, it turns out they charged us double what it should have been. Then starts the phone calls and leaving messages that are never returned. A month later I still have no refund! I will never go here again. I will pick a different doctor that goes somewhere else!

Towards the end of being on the lower level, I could hear the Nurses laughing at me, saying, "I'm not changing him! They can do it upstairs." Had I known the type of care I would receive, I would have gone elsewhere! I will NEVER return to that s--t-home EVER again!

When I fell to the ground from a seizure, & she eventually found me me on the ground, RN Reeves kicked me & demanded I get up off the floor, & acted like I was having a tantrum. Never checked my airway, if I was breathing, or even had a pulse. She told the Dr, & documented in my chart, that I "placed myself on the ground voluntarily", which is not true. When I had an MRI of the brain shortly after from another facility, it was proven that I had a small brain hemorrhage. Because of her words, I was not diagnosed or treated when this occurred. I could have died. Three of the nurses were talking loudly at the nursing station about each Patient there; private medical history, making fun of them, & how they were intentionally inflicting pain in one. I heard them making fun of me too. I have an extensive background in healthcare, & I've never seen such horribly negligent & abusive nursing in my life. They were willing to let me die on that floor, then have to actually provide any medical care or treatment. And when I requested to be released, or transferred to a facility with a higher level of care because of this, they absolutely refused me. They only agreed when I said that I would just call 911 and be transferred because of the seizure.

Got there, paid my $20 copay, and 15 mins later was called into the back for vitals and to be moved to the room, where I waited maybe another 10 mins. Not bad at all. Nurse practitioner was kind, jovial - great bedside manner. She diagnosed the issue, stepped out briefly and returned with my Rx. In the end, I was in and out in a little over a half-hour - no fuss, no muss.
