Great salon - have received gel dip by multiple techs over the months and have been happy by the results. Similar to a few other reviews, one of the guys there made a few of my fingers bleed, but I only got him once and if it happens again, I'll just start to request another nail tech when I book an appt. I do think they need a receptionist because it does get very disruptive when they're busy and the one guy who usually answers the phone has to continuously pause his service to answer the phones. Also, to Love Luxe below - I was there during your freak out. They were trying to fix whatever you were complaining about and you just kept being crazy. Two different people literally wanted to fix your "issues" but you wouldn't let them. read more

I have been to All-Star a bunch of times for pedicures and brough my 13-year-old daughter for gel manicures, and my husband for spa pedis (he has difficult feet). The prices are decent and they do good-to-excellent work, depending on which tech you get. The level of communication also varies from next-to-none to fluent English. As a language teacher, I have a great deal of sympathy for native speakers of Asian languages (I think that they speak Mandarin and Vietnamese) who come to the US and have to learn English on their own, as it's a difficult language...but I also believe that, if they work with the public here, they should speak and understand enough to communicate with their customers. That said, I like the salon enough that I will keep going back. They do a great short massage of your shoulders at the end with a hot towel in plastic which is so relaxing that it seems longer. They don't do it for my daughter out of respect for her young age, which I appreciate. The English-speakers are very friendly and will make sure that you are happy with their work. lol wow this place is even worse than I thought. I posted a review yesterday and got a review from Yelp that it was taken down because the owner thought it was not there so I'm posting it again because it is quite fair and I'll even document everything. Yelp isn't made for owners of salons to do what they want and to lie to people, but apparently this place has other ideas. 1) made an appointment for gel mani and pedi.. came to the salon. It looked fine, but that was the end of it. Since I work on my feet all day long, and the warm weather is here ,I figured I'd treat myself a little bit and get a spa pedicure ($50) not the regular $35. That was probably the biggest scam ever... She painted my nails and the "spa" part of it was that she threw some cheap scrubs that you can get at the dollar store , and barely massaged my legs for a couple minutes with a little scratcher taped to the back of a hot stone. I was annoyed, but at least the polish went on fine or so I thought. Then she started doing the manicure, it was very strange to me that she didn't just take my gel off while I was getting my pedicure to save time, but whatever... for my hands, I noticed that she was about to cut them when I asked her three or four times then I want to keep my nails long or they are a couple broke pretty much keep them the same shape do not cut just filed. Completely ignored this and pointed to my most broken finger and said I'm gonna cut them down to all of this length, I told her that I'd like them to be filed, and she just stared at me blankly (her English is just fine, so she had no issue understanding). After ignoring me with that, I noticed that she was painting the base layer very curly and not even touching the end or close to the end of my vehicle board... I asked her to fix it and again she started fighting with me saying that she's been doing for seven years. She also burned and cut the sides of my skin with the gel remover drill thing even though I asked her to be careful and she just said oh . She knows how to do it and she's been doing this for seven years. She's been scamming people for seven years because I told her that if you start painting anything whether it is a a cup, nails, a house whatever it may be it has to have a very clean base... Otherwise everything else will be messy and then when the first layer starts change or get affected by sun environments anything it will show. She told me that she's been for seven years and she's not what she's doing so what do you want to do about it? I again explained that it's important to have a clean first layer otherwise everything else is going to mess up so could you please fix it, she refused to fix it and kept painting it. I said it one more time and obviously it wasn't gonna go anywhere. They are also supposed to give you a quick back massage at the end while you're drying and she obviously didn't even bother to do that not that I would need her a little Tinker Bell fake touch. Then at the very end when everything was all done, who I'm guessing is the manager walked over and asked what's up I explained it and instead of defending or doing anything, he just said the same thing that she's been doing it for seven years and that's how she knows how to do it and my nails look perfect. Again, I explained to him that while it may look pretty now while it's immediately done, five minutes later, it won't be and this all could've been avoided if she just painted the base layer correctly first. I've been getting my nails done for 20 years, no matter what salon what location, etc., even with shitty salons never have they failed to paint half of the first layer, and then have their manager back up, to the point where they contacted yelp to get my review removed. I attached it in the photos for you to see that there is absolutely nothing rude except the truth. Do not go to the salon and if you do make sure you do not go Lee-she has no idea what she's doing. $85 and not even a week later I have to go somewhere else. read more

First time at All Star Nails and I would definitely recommend! I saw Kevin for a gel mani and they did an excellent job. The salon is extremely clean and they offer some nice extra touches like warm towels, a shoulder massage and a moisturizing treatment for hands at the end. I wanted a very particular blue color and they took the time to find the exact shade from their wide selection of OPI polishes. I'll be back! read more

I have been to this business multiple times. The first time that I went the nail tech made me bleed while cutting my cuticles. He seemed new and everyone needs to learn on someone. I was pleased with the rest of the manicure so I went back for another appointment when it was time to get them redone. This time one day after they were done the polish started to bleach in numerous places. I returned back and showed them my nails. They said the polish must have been bad and they did a gel color change at no charge. That manicure only lasted 6 days before it started to crack off of the nail underneath it. Their customer service was so good when I last went that I decided to go again three weeks later to get a gel manicure. During this appointment I witnessed them refilling multiple base and top coat polish bottles from a gallon jug of another brand. I thought it was strange but thought maybe they buy in bulk and didn't overthink it. The nail tech used the dremel only to remove my gel polish and over dremilled so much that my nails were now so thin they were hurting and I had to ask him to stop. When he applied the gel my nails were hot and burnt under the LED light. I wasn't pleased with how my nails felt but I paid and left. Fast forward almost four weeks later and my nails hadn't chipped or cracked or lifted which was great but they had grown out so they needed to be redone. I didn't want the polish dremilled off again since my nails were so noticeably thin and painful under the gel. I went to a different nail spa (I won't name them here but have left a review on their page with 5 stars) to have them redone. They applied gel remover and nothing happened. Literally nothing. My nails were so painful at this point that they couldn't even file the gel off. An hour and a half later they finally get to the base layer to which they stated wasn't a gel base. It was a bondo/filler which is why my manicure lasted so long and why Allstar nails had to dremel it off each time. I wonder if this is what they were putting into the polish bottles and passing off as a base coat. There is no way to remove this bondo/filler from my nails without serious pain and damage and so my only option is to let my entire nail grow out since they are now so thin and fragile on the entirety of the nail, not just the tips. Allstar Nails gets one star for their lack of awareness of proper nail care and concern for client nail health. They also get one star for being deceptive on what is actually in the bottles they are putting on your nails. I hope no one else has to go through this frustration. At the end of the day it's only nails but it's still a service you're paying for, so honesty/transparency/knowledge of the service is the bare minimum expected and Allstar nails has none of these. read more

First time trying All Star Nails in Milford today (highly recommended by my sister and her friends), and now it will be my new nail place. The place is beautiful inside, extremely clean and the employees are welcoming and very thorough. I can honestly say that the organic spa pedicure I got for $50 plus tip was the best pedicure I've ever had. I've been to many high end spa nail places and All Star Nails tops them with a much lower price point. I'm also a complete germaphobe and this place gets 5 stars from me. read more

So so happy I tire this place. He gave me a 3 minute neck massage, salt scrub and plastic warm gloves with lotion in them. I am so happy to have found my new place. This is by far the best place I have gone to for a pedicure! They are very attentive and they don't continue to speak to each other in their language. Their Star Special Pedicures are amazing! They massage your calves and your feet which I absolutely love! Then when your toes are drying they come over and rub your neck and shoulders for 3 minutes. It is such a great experience, so unexpected. You feel like you are really getting your moneys worth! And of course they are all so professional and so very nice!
