There was a waitlist, but after a couple months, we received a call that there was space available. Most of the popular times were taken, but we eventually found a schedule that worked for us. I know that there are mixed reviews about the front reception area, but from our experience, Cindy is exceptionally great at what she does. She may come off as strict, or maybe not as friendly at first, but she is the one that holds the fort down. For what she does, she needs to be that gatekeeper. She makes sure that the paperwork is there, the insurance is applicable, the schedules for all the therapists are set, the common area stays clean, there is just so much that she does that people don't realize. She is truly great, and I stand by my comment that she is a huge asset to that team. My son was in speech therapy since he was two years old. At that point, he only said one word. We started virtual therapy because of Covid, and eventually moved into a on prem therapy. When his therapist left the facility, we were heartbroken and had anxiety about what we would do. At that point he was also doing speech therapy through the public school system, but we felt like he still needed that one on one practice. His first session at Little Sprouts was with Amanda. She has a ton of energy, and unlike his other therapist, which was mostly play based, Amanda got down to business. She incorporated rewards along the way, and little incentives, but most of it was hard work. I believe we were there for about a year and a half before my son was clear to graduate. I give a lot of credit to the hard work that Amanda put in with him, the work we did at home that she recommended, and the group sessions that he had through public school. It truly takes a village. It's always difficult to see your child struggle with something that you feel might be out of your hands. It's amazing how quickly they can catch up with a lot of perseverance and focus. This facility is amazing, Amanda is an excellent therapist, and I couldn't be more thankful and grateful for them! Our son has so much to say every day, and sometimes I forget how far we've come that I have to take a step back and take it all in. Thank you so much, Little Sprouts. Thank you, Amanda. My 5-year-old son has been seeing her for almost two months, and he is already making noticeable progress. After spending nearly a year at another therapy center with hardly any improvement, I was truly amazed to see him start making improvements right away with Ms. Starla. She has an amazing selection of toys and incorporates play into the sessions, making speech therapy fun. Ms. Starla is very kind and easy to work with.

Our daughter had difficulty speaking from early on;…read morewe had her in speech therapy (with a speech therapist recommended by our pediatrician) for more than 3 months, with zero progress. Our daughter was diagnosed with apraxia, and was considered non-verbal. We did our research, found Rachel, and were lucky enough to get a spot on her busy schedule. Rachel has an incredible speech therapy toolbox (including that she is one of the few PROMPT-trained speech therapists in Southern California). Within several weeks our daughter was initiating short independent phrases. We were overjoyed! From there, Rachel guided her development, and her speech and language exploded. In less than a year our daughter went from completely non-verbal to a non-stop chatterbox! Quite simply, Rachel taught our daughter to talk. We have had a number of assessments done, and Rachel's are by far the most comprehensive and thoughtful. Her calling is surely pediatrics, and kids with developmental delays. She is a natural at handling kids with problem behaviors, and at motivating children who are less than attentive. We cannot say enough good things about Rachel's demeanor, her compassion, her thoughtful and creative approaches, and her ability to communicate to parents and other professionals how to best help your child. 6 stars!

We've been going to Oceanside Therapy Group (OTG) since February 2011(when my son was 6 months old)…read moretill present. We started with just our older daughter receiving speech therapy, then both my oldest daughter and son (we have have a 7 month old too now). My son started speech at exactly a year old due to him not talking. About 6 months after that both children started receiving occupational therapy. Both my kids have seen by Shari, Tony, Meg, Courtney, Mehgan, Mara, Erin, Sara and a few others when were filling in for someone else's cancelled appointment. I did learn (quickly by Shari when we first started) that if you don't keep going consistently its NOT going to help your child. You will also be charged $50 (or at least thats what it was at the time I paid for missing 2 sessions in a row ). If you or your child isn't happy with their current OTG therapist then tell Armida or the front desk and they will try to work your child in with another therapist that may be a better fit. OTG has grown so much in the years we've been going. When we started it was a waiting room with 2 - 2 seater love seats and a 3 seater couch, a receptionist (who wrote everything in pencil in individual scheduling books) and just a few speech therapists. Now they have almost the whole downstairs of the building and moved to electronic scheduling and 4 receptionists. We've had a few scheduling mix ups and problems but thats only been because I didn't pay attention to my calendar or listen to what I was told and when my kids appointments were. We moved in April 2012 down to Rancho Bernardo and made the drive (in morning rush hour traffic) 3 times a week. After 7 months we switched offices to something closer to us in RB (let's call that place # 2) and 3 months after switching to place #2 we switched back to OTG. The staff at place # 2 was not conducive for my kids and after a few therapists it just wasn't working for us. The only downfall was loosing our spots with Shari and Tony (the most sought after therapists) but we wanted them back and were put on a 'wait list' so to speak to be back on their schedules when a spot opened up that worked for both them and us. OTG also has an annual FREE family day with burgers, hot dogs, jump houses, relay games, face paint, balloons and just plain old outdoor fun for kids. They also participate in the ACT! for Military Families Autism 5k/10k every year too - my kids love going to both events :) Josh and Rebekah (the wonders of OTG) really put their hearts and souls into their business to make sure that the families they service get what they need. At times that comes at a sacrifice to their own children and most of the families don't realize what it takes to run a pediatric therapy office of this size. We will continue our services with OTG until the kids "graduate" - when that day comes I may cry just a tad bit!

My sons therapist Tony has done more in the past year then all the years of therapy combined. He's finally trying different foods when we ask him too. My other son is being seen for speech and we are seeing a significant improvements in his annunciation and reading abilities. My son has been receiving speech therapy here since he turned 2 years old. He will be 8 in a few…read moreweeks. He has had a few therapists over the years, most consistently with Ms Gloria. He has made so much significant progress with her. Unfortunately there is therapist turnover but it has not impacted us much. My son loves coming here and I would recommend them to anyone. Noemi has excellent customer service and she always works with the families to reschedule when necessary. We've seen her go above and beyond for other families, not just for my son.

Lobby is clean and inside therapy areas are impeccably clean. Facility is bigger than what we are used to which is better because they provide a lot of options. My son comes in for OT with Kyli and she's amazing with him! Kyli is the best OT we've had encountered thus far. She does very well with him. She's not only worked on fine, gross motor skills but also picky eating amongst other things. We've seen a lot of improvement since he's started OT at Carrico with Kyli. Gym area is pretty big and is my son favorite area. All he wants to do is "play."
