Our contractor erroneously advised us to purchase approximately 15 more box of tiles which we then purchased but soon realized that we only needed 3 more boxes. We had contacted Exquisite Tile and they accepted the return of the unused boxes. Should we have returned the boxes, we were notified to receive some sort of remittance but we have not received anything. Three months later, we have not received any remittance for the boxes that we had returned. Three weeks ago, we were promised to receive some compensation for the returned tiles but as of today we have not received any nor have we received any communication.

Back story - my father-in-law is a master carpenter and has high expectations of work to be done but can't do the physical labor himself any more. My husband and I, who are by no means knowledgeable in this field, we're impressed by his kindness, design suggestions and professionalism. We both work from home and he and his crew took great concern with not disturbing us, were very clean and weren't bothered my beagle would bark "hello" to them every morning. They were clean, made helpful suggestions and were always so kind. Oh! They were also VERY reasonable! We got quoted more from Home Depot with less services. After we hired them, we realized that they had actually previously done work on our house with the previous owners! Jobs they did: sanded and painted 35 red oak cabinet doors to a beautiful white, add all our new handles back on, painted the frames/ bases of all our cabinets, laid new backsplash in a herringbone pattern, sanded and painted our wood fireplace, sanded and stained about 1400 sq ft of wood floors, sanded and stained/painted our stair case and spindles. Jobs we are already planning on contracting them for: Finish fencing in our backyard, finish the flooring and creating a sliding door in our laundry room. I also want to mention how tidy they tried to keep my house during all the work they did with paper, plastic etc. AND They did ALL THIS WORK in less than a month. I can't wait to hire them for our next home project because I'm so confident in their work - we aren't even asking anyone else for a quote!

Some of the projects he has completed in our home include painting the walls, laying tile, adding storage space in our attic, updating the master bath including replacing the shower and tiling. He also painted our 30-year-old oak kitchen cabinets, replacing some panels with glass inserts, installing soft-close rails on all the drawers and replacing the old pulls and hinges, making them look modern and stunning and saving us a ton of money -- we would have paid at least three times the amount Eddie charged to replace our old solid cabinets with ones of comparable quality. In addition to Eddie's outstanding craftsmanship he often has excellent design suggestions. He is also pleasant, personable, responsive and a pleasure to work with -- a major consideration when we hire anyone to work in our home. On top of all that he charges reasonable rates. After coming to my house again I was told it would take 3-4 days, okay no problem I must've misunderstood. Again not a problem, I wanted him to do a good job on my floors and we would arrange ourselves in the house to give him the time he needed. Honestly, I understand that he was probably busy and we were going on vacation so I thought I'd be nice to go along with his schedule. The night before he was supposed to show up I texted him to confirm and I got another excuse about how it would be better to start the following week. Again I accepted that he was busy and allowed him to postpone. Today he was supposed to show up at 7:30 and he blamed being late on the weather. He explained in his text message that told his men to show up at 9:30 but the roads were bad and he can come by at 10. Remember he was supposed to show up at 7:30 and he's giving me another excuse! At this time I told him to forget it I called someone else. I'm not sure what type of job he would have done but waiting 3 weeks for someone to come and do a job is too long. Plus I just don't trust someone who feels that wasting my time is okay. Remember I'm paying him and his quote wasn't cheap. If Donald told me that he had other jobs and he couldn't come until later in the month I would have gladly agreed to schedule when he was free. However he didn't do that and left me with no other choice than to find someone else.

After agreeing to the proposal, there was no further contact with the owner during the many weeks leading up to the job. Then an emergency caused him to put off the 4-day job from a Friday to a Saturday. He called again on Saturday and said he was sorry but he'd have to start on Monday. Problem was, I was leaving on vacation that day and had planned everything around being able to let the workers in, stick around to make sure all was well, and leave a key for a neighbor to let them in the remaining days. This plan went all to hell. My neighbor reported no activity during my week away, and when I got back they still had to come in two more times. They left splashes of varnish on a tile floor, and there are still lap marks and streaks from applying the varnish incorrectly. They even put down the wrong color in one spot and had to remove and reapply. I had used another refinisher in the past, but I felt they were rude and didn't respect me as a past customer, so I sought out Personal Touch. True, they were at least competent at the start, and the workers couldn't have been nicer. Except for those mistakes and snafus, the floors really do look great. The problem was the emergency that threw off the schedule, which caused them to rush. Still, if I need floor refinishing again, I will go back to the rude guys. At least their work was mistake-free and was completed in the agreed-upon time frame.

We've gotten so many compliments on it! Angel and his team were such a pleasure to work with, always friendly and answering all of our questions along the way. They wont complete the work because we made a punch list of all their mistakes. We paid them for the entire kitchen and 1/2 the installation fee and they still wont come back . They are holding our panels for 2 refrigerators (paid for already) . The glass inserts we picked also wrong , the company they used for the glass mirror was very nasty when we told them this was not what we ordered. John does not communicate well . He does not text back or answer his phone once you sign a contract. The cabinet company he uses Superior Wood Craft in PA also rushed us because they needed room for their holiday party. I cant tell you how many mistakes John made with Placement of the Lighting, and electrical outlets , we had to eliminate or redesign. They will never take responsibility for mistakes. Also the crown molding was to be installed in the entire kitchen but his installer said if there is no cabinet in that area we don't install. but we have 2 windows over the counter? we had to hire another carpenter to finish the work over the windows near sink. also the crown was to be painted by the Cabinet Manufacturer (Never Happened) WE WANT OUR PANELS BACK, We hired a lawyer after numerous attempts to reach out to John. we are now going to court.

They sent a smug employee, allegedly to remove and polish the stone, he only wanted to photograph the hot mess, then got in the company truck and left.
