I entrusted my dog's grooming to an employee named Henry, whom I believe misled me regarding his capabilities. When giving specific instructions, Henry admitted he wasn't a professional groomer, but assured me he could handle the job even though I offered to pay a cancellation fee. He said he didn't want his time wasted and was very persistent that my dog get groomed. He said he would prep my dog for the certified groomer who would be doing the trim at the end. Upon picking up my dog, I was shocked and upset to find that she had received a full haircut instead of the requested trim, which was completely unsuitable for her breed (a woolly husky). The cut penetrated her undercoat which allows her to regulate temperature in the summer. Henry, rather than taking responsibility, argued that I had requested a haircut which was "appropriate for a husky", which is untrue. Fortunately, the groomer, Karyn, who understood the situation apologized sincerely. Upon closer inspection at home, I discovered that my dog still had matting, had a very uneven haircut, was unexpectedly covered in oil (which was not the case when I dropped her off), and her feet were still dirty,--issues Henry had claimed he would address but did not. Following my initial concerns, I had a phone call with the owner of the Dirty Doodle, which further highlighted their unprofessionalism and unwillingness to accept responsibility for the poor service. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this establishment, particularly for owners of long-haired dogs. It appears they may be better suited for grooming short-haired breeds. I had to get my dog groomed elsewhere same day.

We own a very anxious, elderly Yorkie and a full day at the salon is just too much for her. 5 minutes before you get a text saying they are arriving and always on time. The dog also did not appear bathed as there were clippings all over so we bathed him later that evening when we noticed it. My wife asked for a refund via email and Janelle agreed but only after a rambling note berating her dissatisfaction. We probably would have been ok with a simple "Sorry it wasn't as you expected" and a refund but the rambling note screams of unprofessionalism. I don't recommend this place even though I like giving new local businesses a shot.

The staff is so friendly and the cost is very reasonable. I checked out other places for pricing and information and they were not as friendly as the Dapper Dawg nor was the pricing as fair. They take very good care of the dogs while they are there and you get a feeling that they treat your pups like they were their own. When you walk in they take the time to ask you how you would like your dog groomed; they really take the time to make sure you will be happy with their work. They do a fantastic job and my pup always looks great! We have since been back here 2 times and will not go anywhere else.

Which all could be accidents or resulting from running over skin tags,( although we discussed this prior to the groom and was told they were charging for the extra care they had to take for the skin tags) BUT her nails were bleeding like they had cut into the nail beds. That's just cruel to cut into the nail beds. She still can not stand without her back legs shaking 3 days later, so not sure how much the extra person was supporting her. Probably fine for a younger dog, but this was not good for my dog. I can either believe the owner or my own eyes.
