There are 8 stations that can easily accomplish two to three contestants. The room is fun and inviting. The floor and huge screen make you feel like you are on a really game show! Leah was our game host. Leah was outstanding. She was very thorough as she taught us how to play the game. She did an excellent job at guiding us along, cheering us and helping us get excited about the competition. We really appreciated how Leah helped draw in all contestants of all ages into the action. Well done Leah!! The actual game was a blast. We played small snippets of various games. You might not be good at Jeopardy...but you didn't stay there long and then you were on to a new game like Wheel of Fortune. I think we played about 8 different games in the 90 minutes of fun. My two young children had a blast. We probably could have stayed here for hours, but we only dropped by for an hour and a half. But we packed a lot in during that time. Combat Ops has a huge laser tag arena, an area to have Nerf battles, a laser maze, miniature golf, miniature bowling, outdoor axe throwing, an arcade, and an eatery area with local beer. It's basically the perfect place to bring your kids and relax while they play (or join in the fun -- whatever you want to do). I would say that most of the games and entertainment is geared toward older kids and teens (and adults). For instance, my younger child wasn't able to do the laser tag because the guns were a bit heavy for his little arms. But that was pretty much the only thing, other than axe throwing, that he couldn't do. Younger kids would love the miniature bowling, because the balls are small and can fit in a little hand. The miniature golf was also a favorite because what little kid doesn't like putt-putt golf?! My personal favorite was the Nerf arena. We booked a half hour, and they make you watch a safety video, then tell you the rules, and then have you put on safety glasses and let you pick out a Nerf weapon. There is always someone walking around to make sure everyone is playing safely. As a mom who worries about everything, I appreciated all of the extra steps Combat Ops takes to make sure everyone is safe! They aren't obtrusive about it -- just insistent, which I like. The person monitoring our session suggested some games that we could play, which made the experience even more fun. We had a great time playing capture the flag and freeze tag with our Nerf guns. Another favorite of ours was the laser maze. You step into a foggy room, and try to get from one side to the other without tripping the lasers. I think we did the laser maze at least six times! It was a lot of fun. My kids didn't want to leave this place when it was time to go, and they're already talking about how they want to come back for their birthday. Combat Ops really is a super fun place for families, and my family can't wait to go back.

The park is relatively small at 4 acres, but they really have laid it out beautifully and they have quite a bit here. Promenade Park is a KultureCity.org Sensory InclusiveTM Certified Venue. Accessibility features include accessibility to the trails, kayak/canoe launch, main entrance, picnic areas, playground (ground level play features), an accessible restroom, accessible signage, accessible swings, accessible water fountains/bottle fillers, and more. Accessible parking is available along Wells Street (adjacent to the pavilion). The garden area is designed specifically to provide visual and sensory separation. There's tactile ribbon embedded in the pavement throughout the park (this helps people who are blind/low-vision). Pathways are extra wide and can accommodate multiple wheelchairs. Honestly, I was blown away here and so thrilled I took the time to stop and check this out. I explained why, he just rolled his eyes. I asked how much weight was the box that I was lifting before weights. He said "Don't worry about it". During my evaluation, clients were coming in (all white), He spoke to all of them said goodbye to all of them very nicely, then continue to still be rude to me. The evaluation was supposed to take 4 hours. He did my evaluation in 2 hours. At the end of my evaluation he told me when I get home ( I'm thinking he's going to tell me to ice or put heat on whatever that is hurting me) that I should really think if I put in my full effort into my evaluation. Tell me he's been doing this for over forty years, so he knows what he's talking about. I couldn't believe how rude he was to me. Then it was the coldest day we had, below 0 outside. So after I was done, I started my car from my remote starter and sat in the lobby. He comes out to the lobby and says to me "Are you waiting for a ride or something?" VERY RUDELY! So of course, when my family and I had the chance to explore the city via its waterways, we jumped at the chance. We had our first-ever canoeing experience as a family, and I have to admit that I was a little (OK, a lot) nervous. But Fort Wayne Outfitters was super professional and made sure that we were all safe, and I felt a lot better once we hit the water. They gave us some instructions on how to paddle and how to change direction. Canoeing and kayaking are two of those activities that you just have to jump in and do it yourself, and you eventually get the hang of it. After about 10 minutes of paddling up the river, I felt a lot more confident! I wasn't going to win any awards, but I was able to paddle fast and turn the canoe in whatever direction I wanted it to go. We had two young children with us, and the children sat at the front of the two-person canoe, because they weigh less than the adults. Everyone is given life jackets, and they provide multiple sizes for adults and children. We booked two hours, but my youngest child pooped out after about a half hour. Canoeing is a good workout, and it'll get you tired! But I feel like an older kid could definitely go two hours. The best part about our experience was that we got to see downtown Fort Wayne from a whole different perspective.
