My two young children had a blast. We probably could have stayed here for hours, but we only dropped by for an hour and a half. But we packed a lot in during that time. Combat Ops has a huge laser tag arena, an area to have Nerf battles, a laser maze, miniature golf, miniature bowling, outdoor axe throwing, an arcade, and an eatery area with local beer. It's basically the perfect place to bring your kids and relax while they play (or join in the fun -- whatever you want to do). I would say that most of the games and entertainment is geared toward older kids and teens (and adults). For instance, my younger child wasn't able to do the laser tag because the guns were a bit heavy for his little arms. But that was pretty much the only thing, other than axe throwing, that he couldn't do. Younger kids would love the miniature bowling, because the balls are small and can fit in a little hand. The miniature golf was also a favorite because what little kid doesn't like putt-putt golf?! My personal favorite was the Nerf arena. We booked a half hour, and they make you watch a safety video, then tell you the rules, and then have you put on safety glasses and let you pick out a Nerf weapon. There is always someone walking around to make sure everyone is playing safely. As a mom who worries about everything, I appreciated all of the extra steps Combat Ops takes to make sure everyone is safe! They aren't obtrusive about it -- just insistent, which I like. The person monitoring our session suggested some games that we could play, which made the experience even more fun. We had a great time playing capture the flag and freeze tag with our Nerf guns. Another favorite of ours was the laser maze. You step into a foggy room, and try to get from one side to the other without tripping the lasers. I think we did the laser maze at least six times! It was a lot of fun. My kids didn't want to leave this place when it was time to go, and they're already talking about how they want to come back for their birthday. Combat Ops really is a super fun place for families, and my family can't wait to go back.

This review is based solely on the Pedal City "bar/ garden" not the trolley ride. I have yet to experience using one of Pedal City's self-driven trolleys around town- I hope to this upcoming summer. The outdoor space here is awesome. Very nice patio and it is HUGE. I love the big privacy fencing around the whole place. Honestly, the somewhat run down houses around aren't the greatest of views. They have all sorts of games and I have enjoyed some ping pong outside. They also sell a limited menu of food- which is awesome while Sunday Funday-ing with your friends. I have heard raves about their Bloody Mary bar and I look forward to trying that out veryyyyy soon. My latest experience was this past Friday. Friendly bartenders and they had a DJ at 11pm. It was great to have some music but not the whole "club vibe". We were able to casually enjoy ourselves up at the bar- which is a rarity to sit at a bar rail anywhere downtown on a Friday night. They have an extensive list of bottles/can domestic and craft beer! It way exceeded my expectations. Tons of liquor as well. Although you won't be getting fancy craft cocktails- their prices make drinking a jack and coke here a way better experience than other places downtown. Overall, I am a fan!
