We've been to combat ops a few times and even hosted a birthday party so we have a good idea what they have to offer. They're one of the few places in Fort Wayne that have laser tag, Nerf war, virtual reality games. It definitely is not cheap, but they have a lot more to offer than Chuck E. Cheese and is geared toward older kids. I'm happy to say that the management made it right last time because kids in our party we're being harassed by older kids on their own team as they were shooting them in the head with the Nerf gun. I find that this is unacceptable and if I would've known, I definitely would've spoken with the parents. My son raised his voice and told the game master who didn't do anything about it. I spoke with the manager later and he told me that he would speak with his staff and also gave us some game points to make up for the trouble. I hope they continue to enforce the rules because part of the reason people come to these places is they have fun not to get into conflict with people and their delinquent behavior. read more

I say this very kind hearted please the business owner needs to take this seriously because he lost a future customer who may never return. I had a good time playing laser tag. The main thing was a head band which is how you play. The head bands absolutely stink so bad just disgusting. They claimed they sanitized them which is good but it's to the point where sanitizing is not enough they need to switch to something else. Either a different material where every night or something is deep cleaned. After I took it off, I touched my head and smelled my hand it smelled like must I needed an immediate shower I was disgusted. Literally the smallest things can have the biggest impact on business! Ticket games are outrageously priced and rigged. The cost of games are 2 to 3 dollars . The pictures I'm showing you is of a game that I've played many times. I thought that was pretty expensive but I saw that this game had 1000 pucks. So I thought high price, but at least they have large prizes. The problem is that these 1000 pucks are either so heavy or they're magnetized that the arms literally just bounce off of them maybe moving the puck a quarter of an inch at most. I spoke to the assistant GM about this and she denied that they rigged their games but that is not true. The funny thing is 1000 tickets won't really get you much from a prize perspective but their ticket games are literally more expensive than slot machines. If you go to this place do not play the ticket games Get an arcade pass for the non-ticket games and you will have a much better experience. It's a shame that they tainted their entire business by rigging their game. read more

Combat Ops is amazing! I wish it was closer to Indianapolis, so we could visit more often. Alas, it will have to be our special place that we go to when we're up in Fort Wayne. My two young children had a blast. We probably could have stayed here for hours, but we only dropped by for an hour and a half. But we packed a lot in during that time. Combat Ops has a huge laser tag arena, an area to have Nerf battles, a laser maze, miniature golf, miniature bowling, outdoor axe throwing, an arcade, and an eatery area with local beer. It's basically the perfect place to bring your kids and relax while they play (or join in the fun -- whatever you want to do). I would say that most of the games and entertainment is geared toward older kids and teens (and adults). For instance, my younger child wasn't able to do the laser tag because the guns were a bit heavy for his little arms. But that was pretty much the only thing, other than axe throwing, that he couldn't do. Younger kids would love the miniature bowling, because the balls are small and can fit in a little hand. The miniature golf was also a favorite because what little kid doesn't like putt-putt golf?! My personal favorite was the Nerf arena. We booked a half hour, and they make you watch a safety video, then tell you the rules, and then have you put on safety glasses and let you pick out a Nerf weapon. There is always someone walking around to make sure everyone is playing safely. As a mom who worries about everything, I appreciated all of the extra steps Combat Ops takes to make sure everyone is safe! They aren't obtrusive about it -- just insistent, which I like. The person monitoring our session suggested some games that we could play, which made the experience even more fun. We had a great time playing capture the flag and freeze tag with our Nerf guns. Another favorite of ours was the laser maze. You step into a foggy room, and try to get from one side to the other without tripping the lasers. I think we did the laser maze at least six times! It was a lot of fun. My kids didn't want to leave this place when it was time to go, and they're already talking about how they want to come back for their birthday. We went on a crazy busy Saturday afternoon. There were kids everywhere having a blast. On this occasion our party was adult males looking to kill an hour with axe throwing. The online reservation process was easy. I got a phone follow up to make sure we had the reservation straight. I got three follow up emails. Nice job CO! Upon arriving it was a little chaotic with all the kids. We managed to make it the counter where we found a very professional and friendly staff. They helped us get organized and directed to the axe throwing venue. We choose the outdoor option but there was an indoor option. The outdoor venue has four stalls in a row. Graysen gave us instructions and a demo. He gave us time to practice and was encouraging. The fiberglass handled axes were safe and in good condition. The boards were well maintained for what was happening. Each stall had a wire mess on each side so you could watch and interact with each other. Graysen stayed with us for an hour and kept score and time. The guys were able to get some beers and enjoy them on the ledge outside the stalls. Overall we had a great experience. I would give axe throwing at Combat Ops a thumbs up for people looking for something different to do with a group. read more

Games are not cheap, and we've seen a few that only work part time, but, if you talk to the workers re defunct machines, they will refund or fix that game. Family centered and entertaining. This place is outstanding!!! We celebrated our sons 6th birthday here today with the dual combat party package! We had an awesome party attendant major that kept things moving right along. The kids played their hearts out. 30 mins laser tag and 30 mins of nerf war. Plus arcade money, mini bowling, and a laser maze. The kids and adults were all blown away with how much we got for our package and price! My family members all commented on how clean the environment was and the friendliness of all the staff. It's pretty cool inside. But it's insanely expensive. Bought it equals out to about $1.50-$2.59 each game. Bout $50 worth of tokens & only lasted about 10 mins. It's small & you'll be done playing every game in about 45 mins. It looks cool and fun environment. But be prepared to spend an arm and a leg for a good hour of "fun" that had archery tag and other cool things you can do. But it's not well known. So if you want to do anything like that. You have to bring a huge group of friends. Because chances are the only ones who willplay playing. End of the day. They aren't known enough nor big enough to cost what they cost. SO FUN! We (4 adults) found a groupon for this place and decided to try it out- so glad we did. We ended up playing mini golf/putt putt, a few arcade games, the laser maze & mini bowling. Mini Bowling was the star of the show. They have four small lanes and each person bowls on their own lane. The balls are small enough to hold in the palm of your hand, and you bowl about 4-6 frames. It goes by quickly, but it's so fun. If you're in the Fort Wayne area and looking for a fun way to kill a few hours definitely check this place out! We have been here a few times since our 6 year old niece has been visiting us this month. She loves this place. We do too and we are 48 yrs old. My niece and husband love the nerf war arena and all three of us love the mini bowling. It has a great lounge area if you have a large group. This is not a place to go if you are looking for arcade games but there are other places in town set up for that. They have some games but they are mostly to try and win tickets. I felt they were overpriced. However, that is not why you come to this place. They are just a side thing. The very best quality about Command Ops is their customer service. The people working were always going above and beyond what you would expect. Everyone seems to be happy working there and it shows. Or they fake it exceedingly well. Either way - with every question or help we needed - we were met with smiles and bright happy to be there faces. It was refreshing and contiguous. I love playing laser tag here. It is always fun and the experience is one everyone needs to have in my opinion. The different missions make it more fun and easy to customize for everyone in the family. The fact this place doesn't have vests makes it more of a challenge but to me it's great not having something weighing you down. Another great thing is a feature the guns have and that's the different gun types you can use. You could be up in a tower and switch to a sniper rifle or burst into a room with a fully automatic and unload. Don't waste your ammo though since they count bullets and you can easily waste what you have if you reload after every shot on weapons with more than one shot. Over all though this a family friendly place and great for all events from birthdays to team building events. There are different games that you can play in the laser tag arena and the theming is really nice there are a bunch of party rooms and packages for birthday parties. There is also a little bar that serves alcoholic beverages for parents. The mini golf is very fun also and if you can you could get a hole in one for every hole. The last thing is the mini bowling. I understand that some people are good players, but my friends and I spent 107 dollars just to not have a fun time. Had a great time with the family and plan to go back. We played in the nerf area. Brought our own guns which saved money on gun upgrades. $15/person for 1 hour (which is really only 45 mins because you have to wait for rules and instructions). Played free for all and then a couple organized games. The entire facility was clean, except the smelly teens coming out of the laser tag area (but that's to be expected). Some of the nerf darts were broken and jammed the guns a lot. There was a mini bowling area that seemed to be a happening place. The party rooms were a little small but had tvs to watch what was happening in the arenas. Snack area serves beer which is awesome. The arcade seemed a tad expensive. I was pleasantly surprised there weren't a bunch of crazy and unsupervised teens running around; fairly well-behaved patrons. I felt comfortable taking my 8 and 10 year olds. The general location was a little shady for someone who is not familiar with the area. Brought my two teenage sons in here for the first time and I had a blast. This place is definitely different from the other laser tag places in town, and for the better. It's a completely different experience, from the layout, to the guns, to the type of gameplay. I would consider it more "mature" than the other places which may not suit certain people. My kids (ages 10- 14) had a great time here and so did the friends that we joined here to play. The missions were fun and exciting and they already want to return.
