During my appointment on Tuesday, April 28 at 10 am in Flower Mound, I encountered a technician who was not only unprofessional but refused to verify the medication she was injecting into my body. I will NOT be returning. Upon entering, she complained about the cleanliness of the room, which felt like an inappropriate critique of her colleagues in front of a patient. When she asked which shot I was receiving, I took a moment to check my records. She appeared frustrated and abruptly left the room. When she returned with a pre-filled syringe, she did not verify the medication name with me. When I tried to confirm that it was the "Skinny Shot" and asked for the specific name of the medication, she interrupted me and refused to answer, repeatedly asking only "right or left?" for the injection site. Because she refused to communicate or confirm what was in the syringe, I left feeling unsure if the medication was even administered correctly. I have canceled all future appointments. I expect a basic level of professional courtesy and transparency regarding the treatments I am paying for, neither of which were provided here.

Wasn't until I got home, did I realize he did not treat it. So, I ended up setting another appointment with another dermatologist as the spot was biopsied to be Basil Cell Cancer. Remember, this is why I was referred to his office! How in the world could he miss it??? It gets even better............ He missed another spot on my forearm that was also biopsied, and it turned out to be Squamous Cell Cancer. Ended up seeing a third Dermatologist who performed MOHL's Surgery to remove the growth he completely missed. Believe it or not, if that isn't enough to stay away...... He was not in my network so instead of paying my normal deductible, he charged me full price as my insurance does not cover out of network physicians. With the exception of a visit five years ago, when I happened to use a Groupon for laser hair removal, I have always paid directly and have been a returning client. Fast forward to today: I purchased a Groupon for an IPL treatment, a completely different service from the one I used years ago. When I called to schedule, I mentioned I'd be using a Groupon. The receptionist immediately told me they would not accept it because "a client can only use one Groupon in a lifetime," regardless of the service. Her tone was dismissive, and the interaction felt unnecessarily rude. What makes this especially frustrating is that this statement directly contradicts the fine print on their own Groupon listing, which clearly states: "Limit of one treatment type per person." Not "per lifetime," not "per customer ever"--per treatment type. IPL and laser hair removal are not the same treatment, and the terms are unambiguous. I have liked the providers here and have had good experiences with the actual services, which makes this even more disappointing. A business is entitled to set its own policies, but those policies should match what they advertise publicly. They also should be communicated with professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling undervalued as a long-time client and misled as a consumer. Transparency and respectful communication matter, and they've just lost a customer.
