My advice is stay away. Long story short................. Was referred to Dr. Perez for a suspected Actinic keratosis right in the middle of my nose. Guess what? He missed it. Wasn't until I got home, did I realize he did not treat it. So, I ended up setting another appointment with another dermatologist as the spot was biopsied to be Basil Cell Cancer. Remember, this is why I was referred to his office! How in the world could he miss it??? It gets even better............ He missed another spot on my forearm that was also biopsied, and it turned out to be Squamous Cell Cancer. Ended up seeing a third Dermatologist who performed MOHL's Surgery to remove the growth he completely missed. Believe it or not, if that isn't enough to stay away...... He was not in my network so instead of paying my normal deductible, he charged me full price as my insurance does not cover out of network physicians. My opinion is low class for not telling me my insurance was not valid at that office, also if the cancer had not been caught and spread? Not cool! Any good attorneys out there? I found this practice very helpful. The PA was very professional and had a lot of respect for privacy. He explained everything well. The only minor drawback is it can be hard to get ahold of the office for scheduling or results from test. Otherwise the staff was friendly and helpful as well. I recommend this office. read more

I had a strep or staph or combo including a suspected fungal, infection on my hands, that went into my back and inflamed my kidney. I went to my primary care Dr for an entire year and 1/2, begging for antibiotics and asking to please check for infection as my hands were getting worse, to point of debilitating. FINALLY I was referred to Dr Perez. Went to see him and he not only started me on antibiotics but was clear with me about the limitations of those antibiotics while listening and thoroughly going over my chief complaints. Extremely professional but as well, I find Dr Perez to have a good energy that adds to treating not just the symptoms of this mess but also what is causing it. I am going to continue to see him through this infection and then for any other derm issues because I leave that office every time, feeling confident I was heard and am being treated to eliminate the problem that brought me there to begin with. I will say this too-I have a derm in Dallas, so I was reluctant to even go over to Flower Mound to see Dr Perez but the derm I saw in Dallas couldn't do much for me so I felt 'forced' by the GO and was not very happy about it-all I can say is, I am glad I did because in an entire year 1/2, this Sr Perez has been the ONLY Dr to appropriately address this infection. The ONLY one. He is a smart guy and I highly recommend him. His Office and Med Support staff are nice as well. The receptionist who checked me out last couple visits is a dog lover, so you can't go wrong there! read more

The medical staff here is engaging and informative and treats my child with candor and considerable respect. Unfortunately, this is counterbalanced by an office staff that is noticeably discourteous and unfriendly. It doesn't help that visitors are subjected to loud banter of a decidedly personal nature (similar to those individuals whose personal phone conversations one cannot avoid hearing at the office or, for example, at the airport). Professional medical information and advice is routinely handed out by medical staff but it comes at the expense of customer service that befits some marginal business, like a second rate bus transportation service. read more

I came to Flower Mound Dermatology this morning as a first time patient to any dermatology facility. I've been dealing with a personal matter regarding my health and my skin and every staff member today made me feel comforted, secure, and like I was right at home. The ladies in the reception office are without a doubt some of the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure to encounter. Barbara was the one who called me back to schedule my appointment and was so sweet and attentive. The nurse who handled my care was detailed and very sensitive regarding my situation. I've been going to FMD for the last 10 years for my acne. They have always helped me out with any concerns I have and help me clear up any breakout as quickly as possible. The front desk staff is so nice and welcoming. The nursing staff is also really wonderful! I started getting filler 3 years ago and they always do an amazing job. I have people ask me all the time where I got my lips done. Be sure to voice any concerns and bring pictures of what you want your filler to look like and always get a dental block!! I fly in from NYC to get my filler done here because I don't trust anyone else except FMD. read more

I had a Botox treatment with Dr. Ray C. Vaughn earlier this year. Although I have had successful treatments from other doctors, this was my first and only treatment from Dr. Vaughn and it was a complete failure. I didn't see any results from the shots. $500 down the drain. He offered no explanation. I won't be back. read more

I called and tried to resolve a past debt due to the fact that I went to the dermatologist to have a procedure done and he told me that he could remove 2 small bumps. He wasn't successful at doing it and they charged me $110 for the procedure that didn't work. I would not suggest this dermatologist because they won't work with you to do what's right and he didn't do what he said he would do. The office manager would rather get a bad review instead of doing what's right. read more

AMAZING!!! I came to see Dr. Ray Vaughn to get a 2nd opinion on getting a few small moles removed from my face. I addressed my concerns and problems I had experience with some of the moles on my face and he couldn't have been more kind & thorough to answer all of my questions. Before I came here I had seen a dermatologist's PA back in Dec 2017 and she discouraged me from doing anything because she had told me that the ONLY way to remove a mole from my cheek was to make an 1.5 inch incision on my face to remove it, in other words she didn't want to do it or wasn't very knowledgeable. But Dr. Ray Vaughn explained that, that wasn't necessary and he could shave it off just like the other ones I wanted removed without leaving any scarring. Fast forward to today (2 wks post extraction) and my face is healed just fine with no scarring! Thank you Dr. Ray Vaughn + staff for giving me the results I so hoped for, my only regret was not coming to Flowermound Dermatology sooner! You have won a lifelong patient! EXCELLENT WORK! read more

I would leave a negative 5 if I could but there was no option for that. Every time we go to flower mound dermatology I'm left there feeling like I was taking for all of my money and given no answers or help with any of my problems. Also get the prescriptions for medications it's over $1000 but you can't find a pharmacy get for you anywhere. In specific on our last and final visit my daughter who has molluscum virus was prescribed a topical cream we were told that her bouncer go away within a few weeks of using it. Not only did I not go away but they spread and spread all over her body. We went and saw skin specialist and spend even more money only to find out that the manufactures of the drug actually did a study on the medication flower mound dermatology prescribed and it was found to make Molluscum virus worse. Yet Dr.Perez is more than happy to lie to you and take your hard earned money to keep your problem going I guess to ensure lifelong business for himself?? If you need skincare treatment DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

The best! They are always so great when I go to see them, Dr. Vaughn and everyone there are just wonderful. I had issues at my pharmacy with outrageously high prescriptions and the nurse there, Sheridan, went out of her way to send me to a more reasonable pharmacy, with coupons and etc! First let me say I have never left a review for anything, but this deserves the time. I took my 6yr old in to see Ray Vaughn PA. He had an angioma removed on his lip. My son has had his tonsils removed, broken arm, a skin bx done and handled it all like a champ! Never cried. Ever. Well, today he lost it. Before anything even began he was freaking out at even q tip coming towards his mouth. Totally unlike him. I can not tell you how patient they were working with my son. (I of course look like a total liar saying he is tough as nails!) They were all so kind to my son and also to me. I have heard horror stories of dermatology bills from Drs visits. Not the case at all. No worries my son gouged me afterwords when I had to buy a bribe toy at Target. Lol I would highly recommend this office! read more

I found the front office staff and one of the nurses to be very friendly and welcoming; however, the positives stop there with this practice. I saw Dr. Perez about possible a spot of skin cancer. He is lacking in bedside manner and was very nonchalant about my concerns. On top of that, he started removing the spot before I was numb and when I told him I could feel it, he said nothing but simply started injecting more medicine (which was extremely painful.) He never said another word to me until he was finished and told me they'd send it off and be in touch with results. My interaction with him was very strange to say the least. When I was called with the results of my biopsy I was simply told "it was an infected hair follicle." I asked if I needed to do anything to which I was told "nope." That was it. I would never recommend this practice to anyone. *Update - I still have this painful sore (nearly two years later) and have since gone to another dermatologist who told me it needs to be surgically removed by a general surgeon. Obviously not a simple "infected hair follicle." read more

I've gone to Dr. Petez many times. He is always very attentive and very precise in his delivery of care. He is very measured in his treatment and does a wonderful job of putting you at ease. His staff are very caring and professional. My grandson is a patient of Ray Vaughn and his dermatology problem has greatly Improved and he also seems to relate well to adolescent patients as well. I am very happy with the care delivered and the office does a great job of ensuring your insurance is properly billed and very professional in all dealings I have had with them. read more
