At one point he said they are too busy installing and if we wanted a specific pattern, meaning dark boards not together, he said we need to stand there for the job and direct them. On one day he disappeared for 6 hours saying he had to take garbage to the dump. While a nice, hard working human being, he was resistant to 'asks' and did things his way when we weren't there. Variables were a challenge.

Brian was really nice and gave me great suggestions. Wednesday came and went with no quote. I called Brian's cell phone on Friday, March 16th left a message regarding the quote and got no call back. I called Ryno's main number yesterday( Monday) left them a message regarding the quote and it is Tuesday, March 20th still no call. They should rename the company Radio Silence Flooring. I wanted to support a local business with this large job, but will be looking elsewhere.

I have a house from the 1920s with its original hardwood flooring. It had been covered by…read morecarpeting in the living room and underneath-- it was a disaster. There were several major areas that needed patching, and it was covered with a black mastic. Under the mastic were stains. I had several estimates done, and the condition of the floor was so poor that one contractor began swearing at it! Every single contractor wanted to put in a new floor instead of salvaging, though a few agreed they could try to repair it but insisted on using a threshold, which would break the flow between the rooms. I was feeling really discouraged as I wanted to preserve the old wood as well as maintain the flow. Enter Ryno Flooring! Brett said this is the kind of job he actually enjoys-- a challenge. He is a true professional and craftsman. Not only did he handle the business aspect of the process beautifully, but my floors look amazing. He was able to remove the mastic (I tested it for asbestos beforehand and it was clear) and all but one of the stains. He used salvaged wood for the patchwork and it looks perfect. He was able to do it with NO threshold, which shows his extraordinary level of expertise. The color choice for a stain was a major issue as it had to work with the natural wood trim and flooring in other areas. Brett has a fantastic eye because he was the one who came up with the custom color, on the first try. Not only did it work exactly with my other wood, but it covered the only stain left. I feel so fortunate to have found this amazing company. Oh, and the price? Very competitive. I cannot recommend Ryno highly enough!

I Always paid him on time and never gave him a reason to get upset. Since then, he has been harassing my tenants and me, threatening to call the city inspector to come to my buildings, sending my tenants ideas how they can sue me trying to force a Tennent to go on a date with him for smoke and drink in a very aggressive way, and many more... He seems to be very desperate for work and claimed that no one wants to hire him and kept asking me for more work, and when I said, I'm not willing to work with him, he get upset and start threatening again. I would stay away from this guy and will never let him in my house or any of my properties. I also filed a police report against him and restriction order together with a few of my tenants that has been harassed I attached a few screenshots to show the type of service you will be dealing with working with this company. It turns out four boxes had defects. We were able to exchange them and finish the job. If you want perfection, call this guy. He was fastidious and his workmanship was impressive. He is so knowledgeable about flooring he PRECISELY matched the existing entrance way with the type of wood we needed. This guy knows floors! The pricing was reasonable, and the timeline worked for us, so we moved forward. During the project, an unexpected issue was discovered beneath the existing hardwood. Luciano clearly explained two options -- one impacting time and budget and one that did not -- provided his professional recommendation, and allowed us to decide. The floors looked great! Mike proved easy to work with also. Other contractors who provided us quotes for the flooring exclaimed over various issues that would complicate their work (it's a hundred-year-old house, so issues are par for the course), but Mike didn't make a big deal out of any of it. Instead, he just did the work and addressed any issues as he went. Would that all the contractors who helped us with the renovations had been so easy to do business with! Finally, Mike's quote was competitive with the several others, neither the lowest nor the most expensive; but we certainly felt that he had provided excellent value. Indeed, we've engaged him to refinish the floors in a second house, so we recommend him highly.
