We recently had our hardwood floors updated. They were about 20 years old and had a lot of wear and tear including floor damage (some burn marks, floor chipping etc.) . Ciprian came on time and finished ahead of time. They were extremely professional (respectful of the home, very clean, etc). The job they did was fantastic -it was so much better than I could have imagined. I feel like my house is brand new and wish I did this sooner. I would definitely use them again. I was fixing up a bedroom in our 100+ year old house and needed to have the floor refinished due to the many large gouges, scratches, and stains throughout the room. Ciprian installed some new wood pieces where the floor boards had been cut too short of the baseboard, sanded the floor down, and applied two coats of finish. I also had him install new base shoe throughout the room. All of the work turned out great. I needed an immediate flooring contractor and contacted 3 different companies. Ciprian had the soonest availability as well as the best price. So I went with them. The communication via text/phone was very fast and clear. The contractor educated me with staining maple floors and provided plenty of advice and options. The process of sanding/staining took 4 days and the quality was fantastic! The TVs/portraits were properly protected with plastic. The cabinets/drawers were sealed with tape and was wiped down after the job was finished. The doors were all screwed back into place. After the service was complete, they even sent me some education on floor maintenance. I couldn't be any happier with the floors and service of this company. We requested several quotes to have our hardwood floors finished once they were installed. While Ciprian's came somewhere in the middle, we trusted him based on the walk-through he provided for us and his knowledge that he demonstrated during the walk-through. We were working on a tight timeline to complete the floors (and also dealing with unreliable contractors to try to get the installation complete), so unfortunately there was some overlap in them being installed and Ciprian and his team coming in to help, but thankfully that worked out in the end. After the sanding was completed and once the staining commenced there were few/short windows of time when we were able to go see the floors in person, and Ciprian was very communicative about how the work was going, which I appreciated. In the end, they look beautiful, and even though his quote wasn't the lowest, I am thankful that we chose him. One issue I have is that there was a bunch of sawdust that was collected during the sanding process. I own 4 condos in Chicago and have refinished floors for half of them, and I have never been tasked with disposing of the sawdust myself. It ended up being no big deal, and Ciprian took care of the second half, but I wish I knew that we would need to safely dispose of the sawdust ourselves, since that required a special process of its own. Please excuse the walls in the photos as we are still mid-renovation and not everything looks great, but the floors certainly look amazing. read more

The final finish and the overall process was easy and working with Ciprian was a pleasure to work with. On time and budget and kept everything as dust free as possible. From the floor demo in a 97 year old house to the final finish last week, was right on the mark. We were out of town for the demo and installation of the hardwood, but Ciprian stayed in contact with us and sent pictures as the project moved forward. Had to wait for the cabinets to be installed and then the appliances, but once they were in place Ciprian came back and put the finish coat on the hardwood. We requested a quote months ago and were slow in deciding on flooring for our basement, but after checking out several quotes and flooring options, we stuck with Ciprian and we are sooo glad we did! I don't normally write reviews but I found Ciprian using the reviews. I called and he answered right away. I told him what I needed (hardwood refinishing) and set up a day for him to do an in person quote. He was on time and very thorough with the walk through and gave me a fair straight up price. Well Ciprian did such a great job in our townhouse that we didn't even consider anyone else when we moved into our house that had 1988 written all over the floors. It's hard to say he did better because he did such a great job the first time, but this time he had to actually install hardwood floors AND make them level to the existing ones. Then refinish them. overall - end product great! Floors look awesome, and Ciprian's team was prompt, hardworking and finished a few days ahead of schedule, which was nice. His team (ie family) was on time, sent updates during the project and was I only docked a star for two reasons - while we were getting quotes, he pushed us into putting a deposit down or losing our date - understandable as during these times, any sort of home renovation specialist is not short of work, but we ended up having to make a final decision on a sunday night, while waiting for a quote from another vendor, when we would have gotten the other quote on monday - so if you're interested in moving forward, make sure you're ready to sign within a week or two. Second, there was some confusion about stairs - after the initial walkthrough, we were under the impression he would stain the railings and posts - I'll put most of the blame on myself for not following up and doing due diligence, but there are lots of pics on their website with wood stairs and matching posts/railings so if that's something you are interested in, make sure you're clear when getting the quote. When this came to be during the project, Ciprian went the extra mile to address it and help refer us to another painter who could fill in to do the work. Overall, the floors and stairs look awesome, the final project came out great, and would probably use again, especially to support a smaller family-owned business! read more
