I am a single disabled Grandmother and thought they seemed so nice. What I discovered was that it is run by tow boys still wet behind the ears, and barely over 21 years old. The dad, who is listed as the owner, rarely works on the cars. In fact we were told that only one of the two kids did the work. Before we could get an oil change we had to pay in advance so they could buy the oil...so I didn't question when they told me I had to pay for the transmission in advance so they could buy the transmission and pay their employees! I did think it was odd they wanted cash only, and wouldn't take my credit card! When I picked the car up it wouldn't stay in gear, even though the "mechanic" had just driven it. They claimed that the shifter cable suddenly broke and as they had done before had more charges to tack on. That has never worked and the transmission has continually slipped...but they refuse to honor their warranty! It falls from drive into neutral or park into reverse without touching it. I asked them to return my transmission and let me have my car back but they refused. The catalytic converter went out right away after replacing it. The master cylinder lasted almost two months. My daughter ordered a new battery from them. I asked for a 5 yr battery, we paid $69 and received a used 2 yr warranty battery that is the wrong size and the battery cable was replaced by one that is too large and cannot be tightened. They refused to fix it. The were supposed to fix my son's car windows that were sticking when they were going up and down. Now the rear window wont stay up at all, and they fixed nothing! I took the second car in to repair a loud noise I thought was the bearing, when we picked it up the sound was still there...they said it was rust and would rub free. I was told they set their prices according to other repair places on the Internet. Those places have lots of experience...these boys have very little. They set their labor not by how many hours they work, but rather by how much they think they can get according to the net (more if they don't like you!) according to their own words! They also go online to diagnose what is wrong and read how to repair it! If I go to a doctor, I want one that has enough sense to know how to treat me BEFORE they start...not have to stop and phone a friend! When we asked them to honor their warranty they swore at my 20 year old daughter and told her never to come on their lot again. When I said I was going to sue, they said they would sue for more! When I asked what for, I was informed they would come up with something! They were unprofessional, did shabby work, do not honor their warranty, and have no experience worth noting. It is no wonder they moved from Lewisberry to Hummelstown....if they did so well there, don't you think they would have stayed there? They claimed they outgrew their old building...so of course it only makes sense to move to HUMMELSTOWN! We are right next door! NOT! I am a disabled widow, and I had to learn the hard way some people may look and act nice enough but give them a chance and you will be out $3000 and still not have working cars!
