I called 7/15 to make an appointment for our Mercedes service, rep told me to drop ioff 7/23 @8AM. The day prior our spare car wasn't done elsewhere so I called Dales asking to push back a day, she couldn't find our appt then said you were scheduled today 7/22 @8am? I told her that's impossible, I texted my husband 7/23 & wrote on calendar. She said well I cant get you in now until 8/21. I thought that was too far ahead & she put our appt incorrectly. We went elsewhere (Crowne Auto next day appt) so we didnt have a chance to use their service. We just moved to PA and we've been looking for a place that we want to entrust our car. We were searching for the right people to maintain and take care of our cars by honest and trustworthy people. It's like having a trusted brain surgeon to take out malignant tumors from your brain and still live to tell the tale. Or have a paramedic do emergency response to save your life or your love one's lives. I know when I go to Dale's I can trust the recommendations and the pricing can't be topped. My husband is working out in PA for business so we came to visit and my car started making a noise. Before we drove over 500 miles back home I wanted to get it checked cuz we have kids. I actually found them highly rated on yelp. They fixed my car same day abs even found a second issue. Fixed in a fast timely order even tho we brought it in late afternoon (I thought they would end up keeping it til next day because of late drop off). Also so cost efficient. Dale is a very nice, professional business person who treats his customers with respect. I purchased a 2003 Honda needing some fix-up work and went to Dale for help. Owner's son took it upon himself to cut the fuel filter gas line on our car without contacting me first for permission. This genius idea was prompted by the fact that he could not get the fuel filter off to replace it. This line is an OEM part and runs back to the tank so it's not something easily replaced. Should have sued them for damages to my car that only the dealer could fix. AVOID!!! read more

Yesterday I went to dales for the first time, dale himself is extremely nice, the other employees are also nice, I called when they opened at 8am and even though they were busy they were still able to get me in my 10am to diagnose what I thought was a bad wheel bearing or axel, turns out it was just loose lug nuts! But they were very honest, can't say that about all mechanics. I would and will recommend this place to anyone looking for a loyal mechanic shop. Extremely happy with their service. read more

I will never go anywhere else with my car again. I came here after taking my car to Monroe Muffler Break to have my oil changed. Monroe cracked my oil pan while changing my oil, all of the oil leaked out, and not knowing any of this I drove. When my oil light went on I panicked and drove back there where I was treated awfully and told it was my fault. They told me that I needed to buy a new oil pan which is very expensive. As a full-time student with no income I had no idea what to do or what kind of damage that I had done to my car driving on it with no oil. Panicked, upset, and not knowing anything about cars I had my car taken here to Dales. I was treated wonderfully and my car was taken excellent care of. They were able to fix my oil pan and assure me that my car was ok. Every single time that I need something done on my car, they do their best to squeeze me in. These men do excellent work and really care about what they are doing. If there is anyway for me to get my car to Dales, I will continue to return time and again. read more

We moved to PA last year and needed our car serviced and registered. Naturally, being new to the area, I was very nervous about finding a mechanic that was honest and inexpensive. I was so glad that a few people had written reviews about Dale's Automotive because it made me give his shop a shot. I am so glad that I did. Dale is incredibly polite and very honest. Never have we been told we need any work done on our car beyond the things we have been Able to detect. He may suggest some things that could help improve performance, but he doesn't weasel you into spending money you don't need to. That to me is the sign of an honest mechanic. We've purchased tires through him (he didn't even recommend the most expensive brand) had oil changes (they're more expensive than a chain store, but what you get in honest work is worth the extra $10) and had repair work done, all of which was inexpensive (relatively speaking for a car of course). Do NOT let the owner's son work on your car - he will modify your car without your consent then try to justify his idiotic actions with total disregard to your approval ahead of time. Specifically, I requested that a fuel filter be changed on my son's car. When Johnny, Dale's son, ran into problems trying to remove the fuel filter he decided to cut the fuel line! They never contacted me prior to going ahead with this modification of the fuel line and filter! BEWARE! read more
