When the doctor saw me, he was highly energetic and quick with the exam. He also said that there was nothing wrong with my eyes (I have a vitreous detachment), that I do not have astigmatism and said that my previous prescription for contacts was too high. He gave me an -8.50 for both eyes. My left eye is normally a -9.50 and I believe my right is a -9.25. When I put in these contacts at home, I was severely disoriented and my eyes had trouble focusing. I also was getting a major headache, so I took them out. Today, I tried wearing contacts again using my old prescription in my left eye and his prescription in my right. No major issues, but he was convinced my eyes do not have astigmatism and should be at a lower power. Not sure what to say except that he made it seem like every eye doctor from my past was stupid and he was not. He did say "do you want to get a second opinion?" but if you know anything about insurance, you don't get that second opinion without paying for it out of pocket. I'm glad I didn't purchase contacts from him.

Then when they kept slipping down my nose and I asked about having them adjusted (two trips to the store), I was told to rough up the nose pads with some sandpaper so they wouldn't slip. Completely unprofessional. After a few months, I went to another doctor - I think a number may have been read incorrectly as the prescription was different by one number. Could my eyes have changed in three months? Maybe, but unlikely. A shame...I've gotten glasses there before without a problem. Never again.

I scheduled an appointment since I got vision insurance for the first time, and because I was having trouble seeing while driving in the dark. I felt like my eyes were being strained from constantly being in front of a computer screen. The appointment was very thorough and the doctor and other staff were friendly. I expressed my concerns for having air blown in my eye balls, and getting my pupils dilated. The doctor informed me that he didn't need to do the puff of air in my eyes because he had another way of testing the pressure. I was relieved. Once he put the eye drops in my eyes, he said I had about 15 minutes before things would start to get blurry. The woman at the front helped me look at frames and decide which ones I liked best. I tried on a bunch and decided between my top 3 favorites. I thought they had a good selection of designer frames. At this point my eyes got super blurry from the dilation drops when it was time to pay. I was so embarrassed because I couldn't see anything when I tried to hand the woman my health savings card. We then realized I never activated it. I felt so bad, but I had to ask her to read the numbers off of it for me to call to activate it. She helped ring me up and explained everything as I tried on glasses so there were no surprise charges. I was there for an hour and 15 minutes total, which was much longer than I expected. I had no idea what all an eye appointment entailed. It was very comfortable and clean. The doctor was patient and answered all of my questions. I chose this place based on Yelp reviews and distance to where I live. I can't wait to go pick my first pair of glasses in a few weeks!

This is my neighborhood vision store and I will always use them over the big box stores in the…read moremall. I will say that making an appointment is super easy and they even have a telephone prompted call to remind you the day before. That is great service. The staff is also friendly and really helpful. The appointments go by quickly and there has never been a wait time. I like the idea that when I have an appointment it is kept, and kept at the time that I made it. The frames are interesting and always hip. The prices are ok. I will say that on the whole they are a bit more expensive than I would normally like to pay. But I will pay that much for some prescription sunglasses because I drive around so much. Another thing that I like about this Vision Care is that they will give me my prescription and pupilary distance without making a huge stink about it. I pay for my appointment and for my sunglasses so if I want to get glasses cheaper online they allow that. Some other places do not and that is what makes me continue to use Vision Care above anything else. Anyone in the neighborhood should get their eye care here. It is great. Office billing policy has changed, so that instead of billing an eye exam to vision insurance when…read morea medical diagnosis exists (such as an eye freckle), the office visit is now billed through medical insurance. This results, for my child and for me, in underutilization of our vision coverage (through which a vision exam is provided each year with $0 co-pay), and a $40 per person co-pay. So, our fees increased $80 this year for no good reason. Arbitrary changes that result in increased charges to customers (and no additional revenue for the provider) are bad business practice. Very displeased.

On the first day on which I was told I could expect the frames to be in-store with their lenses, I got a call asking if I would be satisfied with another color, perhaps green, although I had ordered gold frames. I asked for a full refund & an explanation of what occurred, instead. They told me that the frames were going out of production and that an Under Armour rep repossessed the frames that they had in-store. What I suspect actually happened is they just order frames off the grey web of resellers on behalf of their customers (adding 200$ to the price, for the "service"). Hence their inability to rely on their procurement process. I asked how I might track down another pair of those frames, they did supply me with a contact that seemed reasonable. The people there could not help me, much as I'm sure they couldn't help whatever receptionist or salesperson made the calls to try and procure the frames they had already sold me before they tried the honorable grey web - if indeed they ever did. I'd almost count this as a benefit, but the truth is the kind gesture of letting me get stonewalled by some megacorporation didn't really help me at all, it just wasted yet more time. Never happened before in my life. I've gone through a lot of frames, too. It felt remarkably like being scammed. If I wanted to buy something and never receive it, I'd just go to the grey web myself. By trying to get glasses here, I added 14 days of wearing broken glasses into my life, which has been some minor trouble.

She's made some really great improvements to the business too. I know she cares and has breathed some new energetic life into the business too. My eyes suck, they just do. So they're pretty tricky to work with and Dr. Pusz has always been very patient with me and my questions and concerns. I basically come in every time and say, I think I'm slowly going blind and she just reassures me that's not the case very calmly and I appreciate that. But if I do have valid concerns she will investigate the issue. She has sent me to some specialistists and done tests to just make sure everything is okay (which everything has) and I appreciate that care. The other thing I really like is their eyeglass selection. I definitely go for funkier glasses and while they absolutely have traditional frames, they have some really fun and funky glasses. One pro-tip too, if you like a pair of sunglasses frames, they can make those regular frames for you too! I've picked up some fun striped cateye Kate Spade glasses that are my absolute favorite I own. It takes a couple weeks to get them in, just a heads up. I will say it can take a while to get my contacts in. I get one-day disposable contacts and have a stigmatism. I'm not sure if these are a "special order" item or not. But it's taken up to 3 weeks to get them in and sometimes I don't think that far ahead to order more before I run out. So just be aware you will need to order contacts from them well ahead of when you think you'll be running out. The whole staff is very nice and it's easy to see why, it always comes from the top down. I'm so glad to have Dr. Pusz taking care of my eyes and I actually look forward to my visits to chit chat and catch up!

What a horrible low integrity company!!! I received 2 pair of glasses from Dittman between March…read moreand June of 2024. I repeatedly contacted them within the first month and told them my glasses were not working out. The Dr. for some reason changed my prescription then had to re do it again. I got regular glasses and sunglasses. Unfortunately, I moved in July of 2024 and continued to have issues with my glasses. I called 7 times to get assistance. No one ever called me back. Four of the calls went into voicemail and 3 I talked with different woman who were working at the time. They all assured me that they were going to take my message to the Dr. and she would return my call. This NEVER happened. My sunglasses that I paid a very high amount for, broke. I called again to tell them that the glasses were only 6 months old and the arm broke off. Nobody got back with me. I am livid about the service. These glasses should have been under a warranty. I am now in Colorado and went to another eye dr., and they expressed how this office should have replaced these glasses. I called again and left another message with no response. I also called to have my prescription faxed to my new eye doctor and no one returned my call. This is UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! I paid out of pocket over $1,000.00 for my glasses. I tried contacting through the website and all remarks are blocked. Hmmmm???? I wonder why??? Doesn't take much to figure that one out. The glasses were not suitable for me as they caused me to trip and stumble due to the poor design. Should I now get an attorney? I feel I deserve my money back.
