I was not in a huge hurry but because I had the appointment I expected the windshield to be replaced within a few hours of that time, so I gave it 4 hours and called to check. The person on the phone told me 4 pm but because he did not ask my name, it seemed like he was just making up a time. I stewed on that for a couple of hours and called again only to be put on hold. I hung up after a while on hold and then the local store called me. I told her I was coming to get my car and she said they had it inside now and it would not be driveable. So I found a ride and went in, since I know that it takes them less than an hour to replace a windshield once they start. I understand that many companies are understaffed nowadays. I could even have waited a couple of days if asked. I just wanted someone to admit that a decision had been made to bump me and that I should have been asked first. I expressed that since it was turned into a rush job I am not confident of installation quality, and received a better warranty and a discount for that. But now I have to take it back to have the wipers re-set because they are tangling with each other.

Scott was friendly and communicative. I dropped my truck off with a one hour-ish time frame and picked it up at about 4:15. They had replaced a bulb and made a very minor repair to my tail light. They didn't call me to verify but it was $5 whereas most places would tell you the enter part needed replacing so no harm there. All in it was $20 and 90min so I was very happy.
