We went up to the gate and explained our situation to the American Airlines employee Ihsan, who went out of his way to make sure we made it to her graduation. He got us priority standby for the next available flight, and when we got confirmed seats, he personally hand delivered our tickets to us at the gate. Ihsan was a total life saver and I really appreciate him for saving me. My Girlfriend was going to maybe miss her graduation if it wasn't for the amazing customer service Ihsan and American Airlines gave us.

Literally spent the better part of an hour and half just chilling and waiting for my boarding announcement. When it came time to board, everyone was in and on the plane in a breeze. Despite it being a small plane and small flight, I was able to snag a window seat and had a nice nighttime view of the city while the plane took off. The attendants were friendly, the seats appeared to be clean and they were quite comfortable. Since this was a shorter flight, I didn't partake in any of the "entertainment" services. They had extra snacks and the flight attendant offer me and the passenger next to me extras. I'll never say no to some Southwest trail mix :). The only thing that I found odd is that they had a "plane change" in Phoenix. Never understood why this is the only airline that calls layovers "plane changes". I also don't understand why they don't have a direct flight from SFO to ELP, but maybe because ELP is a smaller airport. But, I digress. In the end, I had a good experience with Southwest on this flight. I don't always fly Southwest, but this flight experience made me question why I don't fly with them more often.

They told us check-in was closed and we'd have to try our luck at the gate, NO GUARANTEES. At the gate, we were told it would be $99 per bag for "late check-in." We explained we were there on time, and the downstairs staff just walked off, but the agent didn't care. She eventually lowered it to $99 for both bags, like she was doing us a favor or earning commission. To make matters worse, the flight was then delayed for over an hour. I asked for a refund since clearly we weren't "late" anymore, nope, too bad, money already taken, talk to customer service. So I did. And guess what? Customer service told me Frontier doesn't even charge for late bag check-in. Oh? Then what did I pay for? They gave me a generous $50 voucher, which might just cover a tray table rental next time. When I asked again about the charge, they changed their story; suddenly, it was for overweight bags. Impressive, considering no one actually weighed them. Another blatant lie. We weighed our bags at the airport and were well under the limit. To wrap things up nicely, our bags took over 40 minutes to arrive at baggage claim in Vegas. I guess they needed a nap after such a dramatic journey. The whole experience was a joke. Long story short I've called United Airlines daily, I was given the same speech your bag is in route, you'll receive it today. Until 12 August 2023, I spoke with Mr. Sahib he confirmed my bag was present at the United Airline terminal in Houston Texas, him and I confirmed the contents in my bag. Let me explain what he did different, reached back to IAH, spoke with a rep there unfortunately I didn't get that reps name. They confirmed my bag was placed on the plane. He then, he as in Mr. Sahib then informed me of the flight number and the arrival time. This allowed my bag to be picked up! Mr. Sahib please consider this my thank you and please be aware I am extremely appreciative for your time, service effective communication and experience. Your cohorts could learn a lot from you!

The problem was when we were conducting business at their office about a one hour later I needed to go to the restroom. So I asked them & They said their restroom is only for the Employees going as far to tell me to go to the next door to Popeyes or theother side insurance company's restroom. I even asked to see the manager & explained it to-her that I'm Elderly person my bladder is not dependable as it used to be therefore I need to go now.. but they wouldn't give it up still want me to go to next door... keep saying it's their policy. The reason we went to the Eastside, we live close to buy it. It only takes five minutes to get there. What upsets me was that they didn't have the simple common decency of allowing their clients who is elderly need to use a restroom. Anyway, next morning on Friday the November 1st, at 9 AM I called Westside wanted to talk to Mr. Corman, but they told me he's not in so I asked for the manager and manager who's name is Ann, came on when I explained what happened she sounded like she's not surprised and she said it's their contract whatever that means... but I told her that I want Mr. Coleman to know what is going on out there and then she said that she will let him know. There is no response whatsoever from them. But I want people of El Paso to know that's how they conduct their business. We flew with AA, and that section of the airport was relatively quiet - There was a snack/souvenir/sundries shop and a decent bar/restaurant which were both adequate for the amount of people who were there on that day. One bonus was that, as we got text notices that our flight was delayed, we happened to be seated at the restaurant and we could simply turn around and clearly see our gate and when they were about to start boarding, which groups they'd called, etc. As others have stated, this airport does a pretty impressive job with decorating the main entrance area for various holidays.

Waiting area consist of wooden church bench and a vending machine Room where you can plug your phone to charge. The train was late and never got notified until 30mins AFTER i arrived at the station. Once the train arrived, Downloading took about 10 mins Original take off 1:47, Left at 2:54 Tips- Bring your own food to include your own beverages. You only get water and ice included in your ticket. Going on a Long haul, bring blanket and pillow. One lady brought a fitted sheet to drape over her seat...good idea If, like me , you have a neighbor, its ok. You can hang out at the lounge or snack bar...pretty empty. bring your charger. Outlets everywhere. If you have an enthusiatic conductor, he'll point out key things along the way. I see why they named it the sunset route. Right after Lordsburg,  the sun started to set...beautiful however the scenery was distorted by the water spots on the window. Beware- High prices on snacks...as expected Rude people who don't use ear plugs for their mobile electronics, however, letting the conductor know nipped it at the bud. My 7hour trip to include a 45mins delay was long enough to experience Amtrak. I must admit, it was an enjoyable trip

The first bathroom…read moredoor on the first level of train 2/422, 34109, coach class, I had locked the door to that bathroom & as I was attempting to exit, I attempted to unlock the door, but for some peculiar reason, the damn door would not unlock! So I banged it from the inside & yelling to get a staff's attention & sure enough, one of them came because I heard that male staff on the opposite side of the door & loudly asked me if I was one one behind that door & J yelled I was! So he managed to get the door open & that's when I asserted that door lock needs replacement, but he was dismissive saying it just got alittle jammed (as if nothing really just happened.). But I am bringing this matter to the public's attention that the doors on those restrooms need to be thoroughly inspected before someone else experiences the same thing! It's a safety issue & should not happen at all like this. But other than that, I have had nothing, but a very good experience traveling on AmTrak. I have been a frequent AmTrak train traveler since September 2022. I will continue traveling on AmTrak, but I would like to see improvements on those bathroom locks.
