Definitely I recommend Allegiate Gym, My story started with another Camp that I did in 2019 and I got injured then COVID showed in our lives and I stopped excising. Sadly I didn't followed a schedule to work out my body for 4 years giving priority to my job and family. I got definitely scared of my mobility every day getting worst until I felt I couldn't even breath when Tieng my shoes. I randomly was scrolling on Facebook and I saw an add about Allegiate and I contacted them Coddy contacted me back and since then I felt hope. I don't want to feel my body stuck anymore. I signed the 6 Weeks Challenge everything was really smooth. Then Corbin took my Consultation and he committed with me to help me as well as Tony and José they are amazing couches. Allegiate represents so much more than just a gym. The amazing staff embraces this brotherhood comradery that makes every member apart of one big family. I came to Allegiate with a series of thyroid and biome issues that most other trainers ignored. Tim was the first person to actually understand everything I was going through and gave me nutrition advice, aiding me both in the healing and strength process. Of course the programs are tough, but what I personally love about this place is that the trainers are tougher. There is consistent support and drive from these guys to be better, and, in all honesty, is not found in any other gym. At 24 hour or planet fitness, you definitely get some weirdos, but all of the members here are gentle giants. As someone who's been to several gyms (mostly commercial), looking back I realized that I've always had to make compromises when it came to my workouts. This was mainly due to over crowdedness, people using their phones, poor equipment, not knowing what exercises to do for specific goals (especially with all the contradicting info on the internet), rarely would I ever get the chance to complete the workout I had in mind. I joined Allegiate in the fall after training with weights at home through the pandemic was no longer cutting it. After not being in a strength setting for a long time and being fairly detrained at the time, I was nervous coming in as the program seemed intense, but I'm so glad I did. The team at Allegiate was so incredibly helpful from day one. After a session with Coach Tim and learning more about the training philosophy, it was a no brainer. I'm doing the digital plan right now because I'm on location for work and it is awesome. Fully tailored to me, customizable to my schedule and my resources. I'm working out in a hotel gym and it's still challenging as hell. Of course there is no place like home but I got set up with a coach before I left and tap in whenever I need to for progress updates and instruction. If you have the discipline to commit to 3 days a week on your own then the digital plan is the way to go. The only thing it's missing is Tim's positive affirmations and Brennen's obscure music selection. Best training I've ever had -- full stop. In my 16 yeas of training -- as a D1 athlete, through studying exercise science, going through medical school -- I have found Allegiate integrates all aspects of human performance better than anyone else in the business. I'm in NYC and work 1:1 with one of the Allegiate coaches on the digital program (shoutout to Corbin - he rocks). I'm able to get in cutting edge mobility / soft tissue work, a full-on strength and power workout, and a nervous system cool-down all within an hour. My coach adapts my program to meet my needs -- improving weak points in my mobility/movement that have led to injuries in the past, progressing my athletic abilities, and fitting it all into the constraints of an often chaotic and intense schedule. When the pandemic hit, and I had minimal equipment, my coach adapted the program around the few pieces I had. It was remarkable how well we went on, without skipping a beat. I know my strength training more than most, and have usually designed my own programs. HANDS DOWN BEST GYM IN THE SOUTH BAY! This is one of those places you have to try it out to experience its greatness! I joined Allegiate in December 2017 after having my first baby. Barely worked out during my pregnancy from being so exhausted and anemic. I had to start all over with getting fit and had to build a new body. I came to Allegiate and I was afraid that the training would be too touch for a recent new mommy especially with the core not being in tactic. I come to find that Allegiate was EXACTLY what I needed! The training programs strengthen my whole body and focused on core strength in every class and I'm not talk about crunches, leg lifts and mass market stuff. Coach Tim designs programs that work on every single part of your body in the most effective way! And this is why you can train less and get better results here than you would anywhere else. Every 4 weeks is a new block, in which the training program changes so training is fresh and we work every single part of our bodies. This review is for folks who don't come from a collegiate/professional athletic background: don't be intimidated! I am so happy after a month-ish of membership that I am taking the time to write a review, because this training method and philosophy deserves to be more widespread. I've seen more improvement (muscle tone and posture) and have gotten more complements in one month than I have from yoga (10+ years) ,HIIT bootcamp (3+ years), and spin (ok, 2 months but whatever). I will say yoga and bootcamp prepared me well for the programming at Allegiate (yoga for range of motion and flexibility; bootcamp just to know what the damn terms are). Their ethos is about being purposeful and intentful - they built their programming so that you can factor in rest days and get the most out of your efforts (in short, efficiency and injury free!). There are no 30 day challenges here, at least not the kind that require you to take 30 classes in a month. Highlights: - Their trainers (called coaches) care. Like properly care and give you pointers so that you can get the most out of your movement. They'll even watch you until you do it right (can't say the same about Bootcamp - the format makes it too difficult for the trainer to give clients proper instructions). There were plenty exercises I thought I was doing right but that I got more out of once I was given the proper form cues. - Great instructor:student ratio. I think each class tops out at 18, compared to up to 50 something at Barry's Bootcamp. - Proper community. This word gets thrown around so much in the fitness world its meaning is diluted. I've had more conversations with other students in my month at Allegiate than I've had at bootcamp and yoga, which is very welcome given COVID times. And folks are so encouraging - during my trial I got a lot of pointers and guidance from other people in the class. - Clean and well organized. Knowledgable, nice, engaged, patient and just generally awesome. If you love the team atmosphere of the good crossfit gyms but don't want to be "crossfitting" this is the place for you. So, for the quick and dirty, I love everything about Allegiate. I RARELY write reviews, but Allegiate is exceptional and I felt the need to share my experience with all of you. I was a member for over a year pre-Covid and a digital member now. BOTH are excellent. Allegiate is a small gym with a true family feel; the place you go where "everybody knows your name." The staff is amazing from top to bottom. They are genuinely nice and truly care about you. It's not that fake nice/smile that you get in so many other places. So if you want to get fit and haven't found the right gym for you, you owe it to yourself to give Allegiate a try. It is unlike any gym experience I have ever had and I'm glad I found them. Now the long version if you like: If you are looking for a gym with the best trainers and equipment you can find, Allegiate is for you. I am a 40 year old, and as a member I interacted with others of all age groups from high school athletes to elderly members. There were members preparing for the NFL combine, professional basketball players, etc. And there were also members like me that just want to be healthy. I have to admit, I am a sports fanatic and there was a certain draw to this gym to be able to train with soon-to-be, current, and former professional and D1 athletes. I played sports my entire life, but I was never exposed to this level of training and trainer knowledge. I have physiology and medical degrees. I also studied exercise science a bit (although its been a few years haha). The reason I say this, is that Tim and staff don't just follow a script, they know and understand the science behind what they are doing. I ask a million questions. I was the kid that would always say "why" and still do I guess. But the thing is, they always take the time to answer my questions. It doesn't matter if it's in regards to form or something more "scientific," the staff always takes the time to explain. I've been an Allegiate digital member for well over 2 years at this point...it's safe to say that signing up has changed my life for the better. I've been an endurance based athlete my entire life, reaching the heights of NCAA D1 competition in Track & Field at USC, but refocusing my energy towards strength training has had me feeling better than ever before (while still keeping that aerobic base that I've naturally had). I just started going to this gym a little over a week ago and I have nothing but good things to say. Everyone from front desk to coaches are all very friendly and welcoming from day one. They are always open to answering questions and willing to help. The members are also very friendly. It is a very nice community. I was ready to become a member from the very first day. The classes are built with a plan behind it. Also, I Really like like they keep track of the weights you use through an app. Such an awesome way to keep you accountable. One of the things that I really like is that they have classes for the beginner and for those with more experience. This was the biggest seller for me as I was looking for a place that had that advance option for me. I got spooked by being hurt at CrossFit 3 years ago, lost all motivation, stopped working out, and put on 30lb. Then 4 months ago I had a heart episode and got diagnosed with a cardiac birth defect. So I was overweight, unfit, and had a heart problem. That's when I walked into Allegiate. Cut to today. My fitness is way better. I've dropped the 30lb. Allegiate is an awesome facility for anyone who is trying to improve their overall fitness and well-being. I am a Division I hockey player who interned in Los Angeles during summer 2018. I was looking for a place to train that could replicate the same workout environment that I work out in at school, when I found Allegiate. Tim, Cody and the rest of the Allegiate staff are super supportive and encouraging of their athletes. You must workout in classes (Team, Strength, Conditioning or Mobility) that are typically in the mornings and evenings during the week and in the mornings on Saturdays. Although you can't workout whenever you want, the class atmosphere definitely improves the individual workout experience. Most of the people who train there are former professional and college athletes who are also super supportive and will push you past what you think you have in the tank. But don't be alarmed if you weren't an athlete prior to joining Allegiate. It may seem intimidating at first, but everyone is just trying to help each other improve their well-being and reach their fitness/athletic goals. The facility has everything that you would need to succeed from foam rollers and lacrosse balls for mobility and recovery, kettle bells and air bikes for conditioning, to dumbbells and barbells for strength exercises. The four-week rotational workout plans always keep your body on its toes and helps you avoid the infamous workout plateau. It is an expensive gym compared to your typical 24-hour access gyms but I promise that if you make the commitment to come 4-5 times per week, then you will reach whatever ambitions that you're reaching for. I'd say it comes down to only a few key factors: 1) All of their classes focus on team training so you have your peers pushing you to improve. If you've ever been on a sports team, you'll know that the training you received in that setting was as good as it gets. You'll find a similar environment here. Allegiate is a relatively small gym, you'll definitely feel like you're part of the team and you'll probably make a few friends. 2) The impressive coaching staff create intense workouts based on proven principals, but also work with you to track progress and adjust the training for your needs. You'll get the benefits on individual attention and measurable progress which will help you improve much faster. They go through 4-week blocks that keep your body guessing and continuously improving. 3) (I think this is the real secret) Allegiate is so much fun! The staff are always bumping dope tunes from every genre you could think of and it's pretty typical to find Tim and Cody gyrating non-stop while yelling nonsense encouragement at the class. The coaches bring a ton of energy and humor to every class (I still can't figure out how they do it at 5am, must be the cold-brew kegs they have). The coaches' enthusiam is contagious and has spread to the other gym members who also chime in on the humor. Between knowing how much the classes are helping me improve and knowing how much fun the classes will be, I find myself eager to fit in as many classes as possible. Getting excited about going to the gym is not something people say about most gyms, so this place is rare. If you are excited about going to the gym then you're bound to get in the reps you need to see the improvements you're looking for. Some other thoughts: This gym's weights are in kilograms not pounds. I swear this will actually help you since you won't realize you picked up more weight than you might've normally been comfortable with. Adding on another 5 or 10 kg seems trivial while you're doing it, but that's 11 or 22 lb which might appear to be large steps. This isn't crossfit. You won't be pushed so hard to the point you're potentially hurting yourself. Technique and injury prevention are critical at Allegiate and the coaches will make sure you're doing the workout right. Also the 4-week blocks give you an opportunity to reset, recover, and build back up over each week so you have time to master the lifts before you're going for 110%. The gym has limited hours. I usually have to work the rest of my schedule around when I can make it to the gym, not vice versa. Usually weekends would be my best time, but currently Allegiate isn't open Friday afternoons, Saturday after about 1pm, or Sunday at all. Still I make time during the week to get to enough classes. Allegiate offers a 1 week trial. Give it a shot, it might be just what you needed to get to the body you've wanted. Allegiate Gym is a brand-new fitness facility with top-notch instructors, a fantastic selection of weights and top-end fitness equipment, functional and clean locker rooms, a refreshment bar and a lounge. This gym is all about strength-training and they crush it. Unlike Cross-Fit, where you have hordes of people being trained by minimally-qualified instructors, the lead instructor is Tim Caron, former Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach at Army West Point and an Associate Football Strength Coach at USC. Tim has two Master's degrees--one in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention and one in Strength and Conditioning! Needless to say, Tim knows his stuff. Come ready to lift and challenge yourself but don't be intimidated by working out with current or former USC football players; the atmosphere is nothing but positive and I've worked out with both men and women at Allegiate and everyone was working hard and having fun. If you're sick of doing the same exercises alone at your local gym, if you want dietary advice or supplements, or you're trying to recapture a little of that strength and stamina that you may have lost over the years, definitely check out Allegiate Gym. Allegiate offers by far the best strength training program in the business without a doubt. Where else can you get programming and small group attention from someone on Tim Caron's level (former Army, USC S&C and multiple Masters degrees) and be surrounded by an awesome community ranging from average people looking to improve their fitness to former college athletes and Olympians? Likely no where. I just wish I got this kind of training during my collegiate athletics days. I joined Allegiate in 2017 then moved down to San Diego nearly a year later, but had to join the Allegiate Digital programming for my training, which has been an awesome experience and well worth it. The crew at Allegiate has a macro and micro approach to fitness and tracks your progress, which I guarantee you is measurable quickly. Best gym I have ever been to. The workouts are focused on doing the movements correctly with good form and safe weight. I love the emphasis on mobility, strength, and overall fitness. The sense of community during the workout is very motivating as well. It's not just a gym- the community feel really adds to the experience. The class based style works well here, much more strength oriented and better than previous classes I've tried (cross fit etc), all for an affordable price! I have been going to Allegiate Gym for over five weeks now and have never felt better. Coach Caron and his team members are nothing short of amazing! The workouts include stretching, warm up, weights and cardio all within a one hour time frame (which is important to me). The facilities are clean and functional and the classes are high energy, fast paced and extremely enjoyable. If you feel like you are out of shape and want to ease in to the program, they have a Ramp Up series which gives you a great work out while teaching you the proper fundamentals of strength training and conditioning. The best part is Coach Caron tracks your progress and keeps you on task (no thinking on your part) - pretty sure the guy has eyes in the back of his head. I could not be happier with this gym and the results I have already seen. The lounge area is also a major plus with the high speed internet and the comfortable seating for waiting out traffic before I head to work. I 100% recommend trying this gym out! read more

Allegiate's team atmosphere helps motivate me to get to the gym as much as possible. Before joining, I worked out on my own as well as tried many local group-based classes, but nothing compared - Allegiate is the first gym that strikes the perfect balance of a monthly pre-programmed workout and individual customization. While everyone is doing the same overall workout at each class, everyone is working toward their own goals and has their own card to track progress. You will see varying experience and strength levels at every class, and Coach Caron and team are able to provide not only instruction on technique but specific modifications if you are working around a certain limitation or injury. Emphasis is placed on safety and overall improvement of mobility, strength, and conditioning, and I can say I have improved drastically in all of those areas because of Allegiate. As a bonus, in addition to designing some great gear, co-founder Cody Romness (aka DJ CD-ROM) constantly mixes up the playlists, so there is something for everyone. read more
