I have been going to Anytime Fitness for over 5 months. This is the cleanest gym that I've ever visited. At the age of 77 I'm doing exercises that I would never dream possible. Rich, my personal trainer explains each new exercise that he shows me and what muscles that are being strengthened. My previous back pains are gone and friends tell me that I look taller. This El Segundo facility has a big parking lot, so there is never a problem finding a parking space. After doing some researching for a new gym, I found Anytime Fitness in the city of El Segundo that you have access to 24/7 This is a small and like personal gym to me in a strip mall, there is no comparing this gym to Planet Fitness or 24 Hours Fitness, it's never crowded, you never have to wait to use any equipment or machines, it's clean has 4 private restrooms with two that has a shower in them, people are not dropping weights plus replancing loose weights back, there are some small cubby holes, some of them has a lock and key. So we made a apointment with Kate a manager here welcome us told us all about the gym gave us the tour, she was very nice and friendly, when you join you get a free trainer for an hour, I have been working out here a few months with no problems, one last thing on you app. it let you know how many many people are currently there. read more

Been working out at Anytime for almost two months. Haven't been inside a gym in over thirty years. Met with Kate, she was very warm and welcoming. She listened, really listened to my concerns and medical needs and paired me with a personal trainer that would be able to help me meet my goals. I've been working with Temi and he is an amazingly awesome personal trainer. He is encouraging and supportive of my challenges and seems to know exactly when to push me to work harder or when I reached my limit. Just reviewing my favorite AF location. I prefer how this place is never extremely crowded compared to other larger chains like LA or PF, but when it's peak time it can get difficult to get the machine/weights you want, but not as bad as other chains like I said. has pretty much everything you need to work out, the machines pretty much just have one of everything (one leg extension one, one hamstring curl machine, etc) which is fine. sometimes people take way too long on one machine (I'm talking like 20+ minutes using their phone, chatting with their neighbor, and barely working out), I've tried to email management about enforcing that but it was never addressed, but it's okay. just wish people would stop doing that but it's a problem everywhere I guess. bathrooms and showers are cleaned regularly (2 bathrooms, 2 bathroom/shower combos), there's a nice turf area inside, and decent amount of cardio machines. the employees are nice. parking is usually okay and easy, and there's a small underground lot if the regular lot gets too crowded. read more

Filter still has not been changed and it's been a few days since it's been like this. Keep in mind I posted that it was almost needed to be replaced 9 days ago and they said they'd let the team know. The filter has been red for a few days and nothing has been done about it. The old manager Gazel would've never let that happen. Sad to see what this new management has let this gym become. There's at least one cardio machine broken that still has not been replaced either. I brought a guest in hoping they'd join and their first impression was terrible as the restrooms were not restocked with toilet paper. So is anyone doing restroom checks daily? The gym is nice and has most of what you need but for the price it's not worth it. The normal price is $44 bimonthly (the way they marketed this fact is a little shady too) so $88/month. That is the most expensive chain gym within 5 miles. LA Fitness is $40/month and 24 Hour Fitness can be ~$25/month if you commit to a year. The place has two squat racks, two cable areas, a few machine for legs, chest, and back, free weights, 2-6 rowers, treadmills, step mills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes. There is no dedicated bench press. There are 4 bathrooms, two of which have showers. The dumbbells are usually in the right place but the plates are everywhere and a mess because no one knows where to put them. So for more than twice as much as other gyms in the area you get much much less. Maybe the fact that it's open 24 hours a day is nice but when will you go at 2am in the morning? 24 Hour Fitness is also 24 hours a day and costs 1/3rd of the price and has 3-4 times as much equipment. Other gyms have pools and locker rooms and studios for classes. The place is good enough if you need to move your body but if you power lift, there are so many better options for much less money. read more

I've been coming here for a year now and I am happy. I come around 9 pm during the week and the place is usually pretty empty. I have never had a problem getting a treadmill or any free weights. Most people are respectful, as with any gym. This place is MUCH cleaner than a certain gym that is supposedly open 24 hours. The machines and equipment always work so it is apparent that the manager is committed to maintenance. There are also two small bathrooms that are always clean. Nice little 24 hour gym. I was looking for a personal trainer to keep up on my workouts while I was on vacation. I ended up working out with Alec Syms on a 5-Pack. He was absolutely amazing. Really nice small gym. Very attentive and helpful staff. Always very clean. The equiment is new. Nice bathrooms with a changing bench - 2 of the 4 have showers. Great to actually be able to use the facility 24/7. The only problem is that the management really needs to make sure the door can open, I've been locked out before but at least people inside will let you in once they see you. Update: I was extremely disappointed to see that the GM responded saying that it wasn't his intention to kick me out even though he did. He called me a day after the incident and informed me that they were going to revoke my membership and give me a refund for the remainder of the month. He specifically stated that my type of lifting was "too dangerous." Those words have been seared in my memory for months because it was so upsetting--I constantly went out of my way to make sure I wasn't in the way and that I had the space to drop my bar if I needed to. I would be really wary of a gym that tries to twist the narrative, especially when it comes to things like billing and situations like this. Like all of the older Anytime Fitness locations, I do expect that this location will eventually be rundown with time so hopefully a better one opens. read more

I love this place. The staff is really friendly. There's always available equipment. The gym is extremely clean. The showers are extremely clean and there's plenty of parking outside. I've never had any issues coming here with any of the customers/clients. I would rather come here than any other location. The price isn't that bad. It varies depending on the sales person. If you talk to them sometimes they can give you the best price however it is not guaranteed. read more

While small, provides a great range of machines that looks to be consistently maintained. Great staff. Rarely packed that I have to wait more than 10-15 mins for a machine. However, for the price of $80+ a month is it too much to ask for paper towels in the restrooms? My other caviar is since there are no locker rooms, sometimes can take 15-30 minutes waiting for one during peak hours since a lot of guests come before or after work (this location is close to a large cluster of office buildings and business spaces. Would also be nice if this location can dim the lights similar to their Manhattan location. read more

Overall, this gym is just OK. Upon walking towards the door, you have to pass through a swarm of flies that somehow is always there (for context, I've been a member for just a month). When you walk in, the facility is small but definitely has a lot of equipment in a small area so you can get you workout down efficiently. It's never too busy so I don't have any issue getting equipment. However, whenever I wipe things down after using them, there is a layer of grim on every piece of equipment I've used (kettlebells, dumbbells, resistance bands, even the boxes for jumps). I would give this place another star if there were signs of cleaning/disinfecting. Not a gym I would consider to be clean. I really hope management see's this and makes necessary adjustments to make for a cleaner and more welcoming space. read more

Just moved to LA not to long ago, I've visited several Anytime Fitness locations in LA. I've spent three to four years going to Anytime Fitness. Never had a problem. I adore how they take tailgating seriously to keep it becoming too crowded. Since I'm an early riser, it's not crowded between 4-5 am; it all depends on the time. The atmosphere is fantastic; I've never had a problem with anyone. Always spotless, really kind trainers who help you if you're new to the fitness industry or unsure of what to do! read more

The gym itself has been an upgrade from the commercial gym I used to go to. I joined Anytime Fitness a little over a year ago. As an ex-professional dancer and a movement enthusiast in general, I have tried a lot of different gyms and I have worked with various trainers. My experience at Anytime Fitness, and more specially my experience working with personal trainer Christian Uy, has been my best so far. The gym is well maintained and the clientele are respectful and motivated, which is nice to be around. Christian is incredibly knowledgeable and motivating, and not only did he help me get in my best shape for my wedding, he also taught me a great deal about weight training, which is something I was a little intimidated by in the past. I've been a member since they first opened this location- all I can say is that it has become better and better as the years have gone by. There are many wonderful things about this gym. To start, it is by far the most clean and well kept gym I have been to. To top it off, the staff is great and very friendly! Coming in clutch during a quarantine! Anytime Fitness moved their workout space outdoors so you can workout safely even in a pandemic. The space is nicely shaded and has access to all the equipment you need: bumper plates, barbells, kettlebells, benches, dumbbells, cardio equipment, etc. Their staff is always professional, qualified, and friendly as usual. I noticed they take really good care to keep a sanitary environment through cleaning equipment, temperature checks, and supplying lots of hand sanitizer. All the members are very good about respecting health guidelines as well and are very courteous. I love the friendly and healthy gym culture Anytime Fitness maintains. The pricing is really reasonable, too. Much better rates compared to other gyms if you can find any that are still open. read more

Once I was aware I contacted the general manager to which she told me I needed to go back in find my cancellation letter that I sent to them and All other kind of scam BS. this company is the worst company you could ever sign an agreement with do not do it. I let her know that I actually spoke directly with the owner years ago about this issue and it was supposed to be resolved so apparently for years anytime fitness has been damaging my credit. And FOR GODS SAKE YELP STOP DISGUISING THESE SCAM ARTISTS AND SHOW THE REVIEWS!!!! THERE IS NO WAY ON EARTH THEY GENUINELY HAVE A 4 star rating!!!! NO WAY!!!! My favorite thing about this gym is that it's small but well thought out, so it has everything you need and you seldom have to work in with someone. I've never not been able to get the workout I need in. Even better than the fact that you feel like you have your own personal gym is the staff! To make a short story long: My fiancee and I have been going to Anytime Fitness for about a year, but with the wedding rapidly approaching we decided to get a trainer to keep us honest in our fitness regimen. Gazel (the manager), was extremely helpful in finding us what we wanted within the budget we had in mind, and introduced us to Priscilla who took on the task of helping us reach our goals. Priscilla is the epitome of a professional fitness trainer, she's encouraging and yet constantly guiding you on your technique and form, she is the ultimate professional and knowledgable in her craft, but at the same time she approaches her training with such kindness and genuine care about you improving, that I can honestly say we find ourselves working harder to make her proud. We were just looking to get a trainer to get us fit for our wedding, now we have upped the frequency of our sessions and will continue with Priscilla well past the wedding because we're so impressed by the program she has us on. Great gym if you want to get away from those Big Box gyms that are always packed. I've been a member for the past 6 months and love it. Clean and quiet all the time. Also been training one on one with Priscilla for the past few months and have really started to see results. I would definitely recommend her as a trainer for anyone who either wants to improve their form or has been away from the gym for a while due to Covid or other injuries. Space: organized, clean, neat and spacious for a business center gym. has all the machines, weights, and items you need to do anything and everything you want/need to do. bathrooms are kept clean and amaaaaazing. theyre individual rooms. Staff/Trainers: super sweet, nice and chill. For training -- all i'll say is CHRISTIAN UY. his method of training is detailed, analogical, and he works with how your body responds. explanations and assisting each movement to make sure you get the most of it is 10000000. he does go above and beyond to make sure youre doing well outside of your training time by just checking in and helping in any way. in all my years of working out, one of the 2 trainers id recommend tbh lol cause ive had .. not great trainers lolol theres 2 other trainers that ive talked to - RAMIRO & MATT - who have very similar styles of training to Christian. theyre friendly and if i could, would ask to train with them as well loool the GM- Gazel is super sweet and helpful. open and easy to talk to, so it only makes sense that he has great trainers who honestly just want to help people reach their goals, while listening to their clients. I love the fact that this is a small and intimate gym. The staff always says hi and make an effort to get to know members. Seeing the same faces makes it feel like a little community. No matter what time it is, there is never a crazy amount of people at the gym which is what I love the most. The gym is very clean and organized. The bathrooms and showers are always well kept. They really care about their members and always have fun things to be part of. During Halloween they asked members to bring in their carved pumpkins to display. During the holidays they asked members to bring shoes for the homeless in exchange for a free training session. Today they had free Suja juice! Their social media is on point and always fun to interact with. Overall I've had such a positive experience here and wouldn't change a thing.
