It's very clean and beautiful and the meals look great. The memory care manager does exercises on a blackboard and I have never seen anything like this done at a memory care before. She challenges the people with all these questions and interactions. I've watched a few times and I appreciated how she changes it up so everyone can participate and answer the questions. My dad was on the lower functioning side and I wish I knew about a place like this when we were looking for a place for him. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for somewhere to put a loved one with dementia. Top notch and very impressive brain work!

He has been there for us constantly as we transitioned my mum from her home to American House. The staff and the current residents at American house couldn't be more welcoming and friendly. Definitely a feeling of family is immediately felt when you become a resident of American House. If you are looking for an Assisted Living / senior living facility for your loved one, please call Ken Rosenberg to set up a tour of the facility. I'm sure you'll be glad you did.

Absolutely do NOT trust your loved ones with Elegance Memory Care. Zero stars…read more We had a horrible experience with this facility while my grandmother was there, and I would never recommend it to another family. Despite being sold a polished image and promises of excellent care, the reality was heartbreaking and neglectful. My grandmother was supposed to be on multiple anxiety medications, but the staff consistently neglected to administer them. She had very clear care instructions--like cutting up her food because she could no longer do it herself--but they ignored this too. She was often served entire pieces of chicken or ravioli, which she ended up eating with her hands. Despite repeated requests and documentation, they refused to follow these basic instructions. Over the course of a year, they went through at least four or five activity directors. There was no consistency, and the activities were virtually nonexistent--just the occasional bingo game or YouTube video. It was clear the staff were doing the bare minimum, if that. Worse yet, there were serious hygiene and safety concerns. My grandmother would often be left to sit in soiled diapers for hours. You had to go find someone and beg them to change her. She was a poor sleeper, and we discovered--after having to install cameras--that they were putting her to bed far too early and not checking on her at all during the night. Though we were told they do two-hour checks, this was a lie. On many nights, she would go to bed at 9 PM and wouldn't be checked on until 7 AM. During that time, she was left to wander her room unsupervised, leading to multiple falls over just a couple of months. The facility constantly smelled like urine. The staff spoke mainly in Creole and were often rude or dismissive. Only one or two people genuinely seemed to care--but they were clearly overwhelmed and couldn't manage the 30+ residents on their own. We were also told cameras were not allowed, which is not true unless it's a shared room. Don't let them bully you--know your rights. Since moving my grandmother out of this facility, her care has improved dramatically. Her new home has a psychologist on staff who immediately identified the need for anxiety medication. She now sleeps better, is calmer, is helped with eating and hygiene, and is actually checked on throughout the night. The contrast in care is staggering. Management at Elegance was unresponsive and dismissive. We asked repeatedly for help--simple things like ordering nightlights or bed alarms--and they would either ignore us or disable them. Do not be fooled by the nice appearance of this place. They will promise you everything and deliver nothing. Your loved one deserves better. Ours finally got it--just not at Elegance.

My family members collectively got together to search for an Assisted Living/Memory Care facility…read morefor our brother. Over the past few years, as his health issues continued to decline, we felt it was time that he could no longer live alone. We spent days and weeks tirelessly visiting multiple facilities from North Palm Beach to Boynton Beach in order to find what we felt would offer the best care for our brother. After completing all of the visitations to other facilities, we chose Elegance Senior Living and here is why. From the moment we walked into Elegance we were greeted as if we were family. Jennifer, the Marketing Director, was of course our first contact with any of the staff. Never at any time did we feel pressured by her or treated like just another number as we did from some of the other facilities we visited. We actually visited Elegance three times before making the final decision, including bringing our brother along for an evaluation and to get his feelings about what was to be his new home. After our third visit we knew it was going to be a perfect fit for our brother. We met with Jennifer and Elcuby, Executive Director, who helped making our brother feel right at home. It was encouraging to witness the time and care they afforded us to help with a seamless transition. Veterans also get special treatment at Elegance. Our brother is a Veteran who served 23 years In the Navy. He has been diagnosed with legal blindness and has had multiple surgeries including recent triple bypass heart surgery and also suffers from dementia. While addressing our concerns with other facilities about his multiple conditions, we received the best answers on a plan for our brother from Elegance. He is now living at Elegance and is the happiest we have seen him in years. All of the staff already love him, and he is feeling right at home. I would also like to acknowledge the Nursing Staff and Nurses Aids who are extremely gentle in caring for our brother. If you are considering placing a loved one in this type of facility, look no further.

TGDB offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere, a wonderful variety of activities, excellent food, and exceptional care provided by a team that feels more like family than staff. What gives me the greatest peace of mind is knowing that any questions or concerns are handled quickly, professionally, and with genuine compassion. My mom feels safe, supported, and happy--and she proudly calls TGDB "home." If you are considering assisted living or memory care for a loved one, I can't recommend TGDB enough. Don't pass this one up--you won't regret it.

I'm happy because we are exactly where we need to be at this moment in our lives. I felt at home…read morewithin a couple of days of moving in because of the staff, amenities and dining and the needed support and assistance from the moment we entered beautiful Tuscan Gardens. It is with pleasure that I write this review for Tuscan Gardens of Delray Beach on Sims Rd. In December, I found out we had 1 month to find and to get settled in Assisted Living which was a daunting task because I had an awful experience when I was discharged from the hospital. The rehab facility was my worst nightmare. I swore that I would figure out my options while I had control over my future living. I believe that everyone approaching this next step in life should be exploring what's ahead and touring places now. It will give you peace of mind. From the moment we entered Tuscan Gardens and said hello to Marie at the desk, I knew this was a warm and welcoming community. Marie is there to assist anyway needed. We were then excited to meet with Andrea, the Community Relations Director who took us on a tour. She took her time and showed us around. Andrea answered all of our questions and gave us a chance to talk with residents. Some have been here for years. They were all very happy with their experiences at Tuscan Gardens. That was all we needed to know. The residents are very open and helpful. Before we completed our tour with Andrea, we signed our reservation agreement knowing we found our new home. What a relief it was to begin the process of moving in! Within a month, we were settled and living happily at Tuscan Gardens. This review is a tribute to our new life here. You will find answers to your questions and how Tuscan Gardens meets the needs of their residents. I'm happy to share our experiences in hopes it will help you on your tour. It is the biggest move we've ever had to face and I believe you will find this assisted living is a next and most important step. We are thrilled here and find Tuscan Gardens a very positive environment where all of our needs are met. Activities, events and trips with available transportation: I wish I could show you the photo feed of residents enjoying the lifestyle which are found on our Channel 3. The pictures show holiday events, daily activities and most of all, happy residents enjoying the lifestyle. I pick and choose from the social activities because I'm very happy just being on my recliner in my apartment. The choices are many including a weekly restaurant trip. Services: Whatever you need is here. I must personally thank Sergy who is the person who took care of us as we were setting up our apartment living. Any time I need maintenance and setup services, I put in a work order request and then Sergy appears to quickly take care of things. There is extensive medical care based upon a resident's level,of care. There are 5 levels of care so there's no need to change assisted living arrangements because they also provide memory care. I love the social connections because most residents engage us as I also reach out to them as well. The social connections are very important and encouraged so Tuscan Gardens does many things so residents can be together if they wish. Floor Plans and Levels of Care: There are several floor plan options including a studio, 1 and 2 bedrooms floor plans. There are 5 levels of care. I'm a resident who is independent living while my husband receives Level 1 care. There are 5 levels of care including memory care. We are in the Chianti apartment and find it very spacious for 2 people with lots of closets and kitchen cabinets storage areas. It is bright and the floor plan is very open so we feel very comfortable in our beautiful unit. We couldn't be happier. Dining: The dining room is lovely and well appointed. I never miss a meal though nor could anyone walk away hungry because they always have 2 special entrees at each meal as well as the always "Available Menu". The best part of the dining experience is the wait staff who are very friendly and accommodating. I could tell you the names of our servers because they too are friendly and very responsive. They appear very happy to be "serving" us. It is a very relaxing time to talk with other residents and a time to enjoy the meal. Thank you Natasha for the tone and food that we enjoy. Amenities When you check the website, you will find a wealth of information including a very long list of amenities including an exercise room, beautiful theater where movies are played twice a day, Happy Hour (my husband's favorite time) because they have entertainment while relaxing and mingling, a salon and therapy area, spaces for hobbies like art and games, special events and luncheon trips. There's much more to see on their website so it would be a definite way to find out more about our beautiful, spacious and open layout throughout the community living space, a lovely dining room with very tasty food
