The finished product looks fantastic. Alex, Corey, Kevin, Tyler, and Matt were all courteous, knowledgeable, and patient in explaining the work and answering our questions. Everyone we encountered took genuine pride in providing the best service and workmanship possible, and it was clear throughout the process that our satisfaction mattered to them. As an example of their dedication, our property has many trees and shrubs surrounding the house, along with mechanical equipment that needed to be protected. The crews carefully built protections around everything, and nothing was damaged. Moreover, Newman brought in two crews and completed the entire roof in a single day; the gutters and gutter guards were installed within hours the following day. When the work was finished, everything was cleaned up and put back in place so thoroughly that, aside from our beautiful new roof and gutters, it was as though the crews had never been there. The team also followed up with walk-arounds and phone calls to ensure that we were completely satisfied with both the process and the final result. But is the company reputable? And do you really want to go with a relatively new company even if is owned by your buddy. He decided, no. Newman is competitive with hundreds of 5 star reviews. He went with Newman. Subsequently we had a hail storm and neighbors were advising us to get our roof checked out. Our roof was 20 years old. I wanted to be honest with the insurance company and not submit a claim unless Tyler from Newman,who came out to give us an estimate, was sure we needed a new roof and we suffered damage beyond normal wear and tear. Plus we had 2 houses. Well one needed a new roof and the other one likely has another couple of years left. As an aside, if you turn in a claim to your insurance company, even if it is denied, you risk higher premiums or cancelation. That is why it is important to have Newman Roofing spend time assessing. In our case, our roof was more wear and tear with minimal hail. Dan and his guys were on time, even early. Weather has consistently been in the mid 90's. I was worried. But Newman keeps them well supplied with hydration. 14 man crew meant lots of vehicles, even a dump truck but they were minimally disruptive to our neighbors. Furniture moved, netting put up to minimize construction mess on house and garden areas. And then they went to work. All I can say is WOW. I am so pleased. When they were finished, the cleaned up all the mess, including using a magnetized thing for nails in driveway, patio and grass. The yard, the patio, the driveway, the porches are SPOTLESS. I highly highly highly recommend Newman Roofing. They did my kid's. They did this roof and in 2 years they will do our other roof. Price is good too.

He used the cheapest products possible. I asked for double hung windows that open from the inside to clean. Only the bottom sash opens so i cannot clean the outside of the top windows without bringing out the ladder and cleaning them from the outside. The guys came to work at 10:30 and left at 2:30. They always left a huge mess with boards on the floor with nails on them. The drywall sinks in between the studs. I asked for outlets everywhere and got a few. I told him I would hire him for additional projects if he did me right, but I would never hire him again. I had to replace a carpet that I told him I did not want to do but his son-in-law to be cut a huge chunk out of the carpet rendering it useless. Dobby said he would repair it but never did. He was paid in full but never came back to finish the job. Do not hire him if you want more than satisfactory work.

I'm sure if I'd said it was urgent they'd have tried to come sooner. They came out a week or so after I called to check things out and give me a quote. That guy, Matt, and the later handyman were friendly and efficient. Then another few weeks till they came out. I got the disposal and they installed it, plus added a plug under the sink and fixed the wall switch. Took an hour or so. This is the only handyman our dogs haven't barked at when they got here, and never did. He said he has dogs, but sometimes ours go nuts no matter what, on just hearing or smelling a stranger. The roof took maybe half an hour. Again, professional and efficient. Prices seem a little high to me, but it's been awhile since I hired anyone so this may be the new normal. And I used to be able to do some of this stuff but can't now, so, I have to pay someone sometimes. Worth it to have it taken care of.
