Came for my annual complaint as I put winter plastic over my $8,000 windows. I don't pay attention to this one particular window often as it's behind my washer and dryer. But as I'm covering my new windows with winter plastic, I realize that it's not possible to close this window. They do not fit together. The window that we were told we were waiting for a new one while the installer told them that he fixed it. They absolutely do not fit together. I can stick my finger in between them. I will upload a pic later to show. FOLKS DO NOT LEAVE YOUR INSTALLERS. We waisted so much money here. I can't afford to replace all of these windows again and my house is colder than before. No responses and I've had to escalate within the company to get any movement. We are now on week 4 of the install and the windows are still not complete. Universal Windows has clearly trained it sales staff to bend the rules of high pressure sales to the breaking point and taking advantage or people who don't know the cost of a product or service like replacing windows with vinyl windows. They left a price qoute of $73,288 dollars to replace 13 windows in our home on 4 MARCH 2024. They then offered a BOGO free offer that reduced the price to $36,644. There was better deal if we agreed to buy the windows that day, but the sales person was clearly trained to not offer that price unless with signed a contract to purchase the windows. A sales manager even called back a few days later to attempt damage control and said I was quoted $23,000 to replace the windows, which was a lie and I have the price quote to prove it. How many elderly or veterans have fallen victim to this company? Any one seeking to do business with Universal Windows Direct especially elderly and military veterans should be not fall for the high pressure sales tactics of signing a contract with out first getting several other price quotes from other companies. Also don't fall for the scam of them offering an very high price and then cutting it in half with buy one get one free offer because they price is why more they was you should pay for replacement windows. read more

Salesman stopped by my home while I was working remotely, very pushy all while my 100 pound dog was barking his head off. He refused to not set up a follow up appointment for the next week even though I told him I didn't have money for gutter covers. I called Universal Windows to be sure they would cancel him coming out. The phone rep was extremely rude telling me how much work I was causing them by having to cancel this "supposed appointment!!!" Even if I had funds for this home Improvement they would be the last place I call. Consumers you can do waaaay better with another company that cares!! read more

Terrible customer service and communication.  We started our window process 1.5 years ago with high hopes as the salesperson and installers themselves were great. Windows themselves seem to be of great quality too, but the 2/5 star review comes from everything else you will encounter dealing with this company. I told them Day 0 of the install that 5 of my 7 ordered windows weren't correct. I was told they'd fix it no problem but to be patient as things are backorder. Salesperson specifically said we would not have to pay anything else until the job was 100% complete, and we shouldn't even be asked until it it is complete.  As of today, 3 service visits later 4 of my 7 windows still aren't correct, and their customer service agents are the rudest i have ever spoken with and every call turns into a fight arguing about payment for the job that isn't finished yet. Don't waste your time. Go elsewhere and get good service and the job done correctly the 1st time, or at least have customer service willing to listen and  just start spewing off verbatim blocks of text from their policy and refuse to listen read more

The buy 1 window get 1 free is a gimmick. A very simple search will yield you what the local market value + installation prices are. Here is what I was quoted for 9 double hung windows + installation. First quote from our sales rep: $33,774. That's $3,752 per window He threw in the "buy 1 get 1" and reduced the price to $15,637 that's $1,737 per window. He then offered if I paid cash to move the price to $11,968 that's $1,329 per window. Finally, he offered $500 cash down for an $11,011 price and 120 month finance and that's $1,223 per window. I laughed at the $33,774 quote, as I'm sure any normal person would do. I very much like that the windows are manufactured in the United States and not shipped from another country. My only suggestion if your looking for new windows is do your due diligence and certainly do not pay 33k for your average double hung windows. High end windows may run you up to $1,200 per window or so but not your average middle of the road double hung. read more

Today we are finally finished. The saga has ended. Three more visits since my last review to get all of the items addressed, which I give them credit for finishing up. It took a lot of paitience, time, and effort both from the company and myself the homeowner. I can finally list my home for sale and not have to worry about passing problems onto the next person. All windows were finally sealed and capped correctly, no more drafts and water leak issues, and they replaced the window sill they broke and didn't tell me about that I had to find after they left. What an experience, thank you for finally making it right. I never thought i'd still be talking about these windows a year and a half later. If the service department had done my install to begin with, I think the skill they have would have prevented so many problems. At least they owned up to the mistake and fixed it. 1. My sales rep (Jen) sold me the lifetime warranty "plus". As she reduced my price, she never once mentioned that I would receive only the "classic" 20 year warranty and a lesser quality of product. My written contract has neither one checked. I discussed this with the guy (James) who came to measure.  2. My sales rep sold me the door and screen door. As I decided to get matching color doors (clay), she never once mentioned that they would be 2 different colors. I have attached a picture to show the different colors. 3. When james came to measure, I told him I wanted to change my screen door to the hiding screen. That's not what I received.  4. I have attached pictures of around my windows and I wonder if this is how all your finished installation looks. I now need to repair and paint around each window.  5. My VERY expensive door is scratching in 1-2 spots and now the hardware on the frame is loose and my door wont shut properly. read more

I financed 2 new windows and a door. The windows were great but when they was ready to install the door the color wasn't even close to what I needed. I called and refused install. That was in March, since then they just continue to argue with me about that being the color I ordered. If you look at my house and the decor its clear to see it is NOT. I contacted the BBB, that has done me no good they are still arguing so now we have to go thru mediation. I just want my money back, I did have a gentleman call and tell me they don't even have the stain that I need for my door. I financed over $4800 for this door and am being charged interest on this which I do not even have. At this point I just want my money back with interest. As soon as I found out the loan was not right I conected both companies. UWD drags its feet. Claims they are always in a meeting. Rarely actually call me back just to give me more run around. I've even tried opening a second loan. They won't remove the first loan with green sky. Contacted both companies every day for a month and no resolution. Universal Windows Direct would have got 5 stars from me if it were not for the high pressure sales tactics. I knew going into my purchase this was their m.o. so I was prepared. Their insistence on my wife being there for their presentation was both annoying and unprofessional. I get the theory behind why they do that but my wife already works 50 plus hours a week and if she wants to be someplace else other than being stuck in a window sales presentation then so be it. Of course they give you 4 or 5 different prices before they finally give you their final price. What a waste of time! I let the young rep start to pack up her stuff and walk out when suddenly she came up with a "rebate" that brought the price more in line with other quotes we received. Universal claims they custom make all your windows so how exactly does that work. You are the manufacturer. Wheres the rebate coming from. Part of the game I guess. Moving beyond the sales pitch the installers were polite and professional. Installation took two days and the weather was well into the 90's. Not one complaint from either of them. Both of them were soaked in sweat by 10 a.m. and just kept working. They installed and completed all the finishing touches and our windows look great. So if you can stomach the sales pitch they do have a decent warranty and professional installers. read more

I saw a demonstration of their windows at the Home & Garden Show and signed up for an in-home visit. The guy at the show kept saying they'd send someone out "tomorrow." He wrote 2/5/2023 on the paper though. This was the Saturday, the 25th of February. Tomorrow comes and goes, as we sat at home on a beautiful day waiting for no one to show. Ok, maybe he meant 3/5/23, which would be the next Sunday. So I call. Nope. He scheduled us for a date that was four weeks earlier. I agreed to reschedule for Tuesday. Get a call Monday asking if we could reschedule for Monday. Sure, why not? Then after all that, the sales guy, Devin, shows up late. He was actually a very cool guy and was very passionate about his product, which is the only thing that keeps this from being one-star. Now, when I called to reschedule, I made it clear I was far more interested in gutters than windows because that's a more pressing need for us right now. I told the salesman this and he says they only told him windows so he didn't bring his gutter info. He takes measurements anyway and then tells me it would be roughly $5000 for new gutters. I already have two quotes for less than $2000! To be fair here, that's a quote for gutters and gutter guards, even though i made it clear i was not interested in gutter guards. Should have kicked him out then and there but I let him do his window pitch anyway since that's a project for down the road. He almost convinced us to buy windows. To the point where we ran credit. It fell through due to circumstances and we all agreed we try again the next day. Having time to think about it overnight, I realized that if they were that far overpriced on gutters, how overpriced were the windows? And the more I thought about it, I realized he ignored my initial concern: gutters. Then I started to think about the sales pitch. I had to act fast because it was the "end of the month" and the sale price was only good until then, they said. The more I pondered that, the more I realized it was either an extremely high pressure sales pitch or they actually offer better deals at the end of the month, and I could just come back at the end of ANY month and ask for the same discounts or go elsewhere for windows. Their windows may be great, but their prices on gutters aren't and I don't want to feel pressured into buying a product I didn't ask for. I feel compelled to share my utterly horrendous experience with Universal Windows Direct, a company that claims to provide quality services but failed miserably in every aspect. From start to (nonexistent) finish, my encounter with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare resulting in severe damage to my house and an incomprehensible lack of professionalism and customer service. To begin with, the installation crew carelessly damaged the siding of my house. Not only did they fail to take proper precautions to protect the existing siding during the installation process, but their attempts to fix the damage were equally disastrous. Instead of matching the original color of the siding, they had to come back THREE times trying to color match and showed up one day, didn't tell me they were here, replaced the siding and left without any notification/knock on the door or phone call. They haphazardly patched it up with a completely different shade, creating an unsightly eyesore that now mars the appearance of my home. The insulation around the windows was left exposed to the elements, leaving my home vulnerable to moisture, drafts, and potential water damage. Moreover, the shoddy workmanship extended beyond the exterior of my house. They used scaffolding to reach a high window and the scaffolding put a large crack in the BRAND NEW paint/wall. The windows were not installed in the same position as the old windows which left torn up drywall exposed and left that way as if it were normal and acceptable. When I brought it to their attention, my options were to have them spend ANOTHER FULL DAY inside my house (with 3 small children and equipment everywhere) OR cover it up with trim. I opted for the trim option as it was the quicker fix. This blatant disregard for the integrity of the installation is simply unacceptable and reflects a complete lack of attention to detail on the part of Universal Windows Direct. What is perhaps even more infuriating is the prolonged timeline of this project. The installation was initiated in October of 2022, and it is now July of 2023, and my windows are still not complete. This unreasonably lengthy delay is not only inconvenient but also indicative of the company's lack of respect for its customers' time and their commitment to quality service. Adding insult to injury, Universal Windows Direct has displayed a shocking level of unresponsiveness throughout this ordeal. Despite REPEATED attempts to contact them regarding the issues I have faced, they have consistently failed to address my concerns or provide any meaningful resolution. Tim the are manager is either "at lunch" or "gone for the day" every time I call. I have multiple times been passed off to the Pennsylvania Manager to cover for Tim avoiding my calls. I've been promised return calls and Tim or his supervisor, NEVER call me back. It is clear that they prioritize profit over customer satisfaction, as evidenced by their disregard for my grievances. At this point, I have lost all faith in Universal Windows Direct's ability to rectify the situation or deliver on their promises. Given the extensive damage caused to my house, the poor quality of the installation, and the abysmal customer service, I am left with no choice but to request a full refund. It is only fair that I be compensated for the countless hours wasted dealing with this disastrous project and the subsequent repairs required to undo the damage inflicted by Universal Windows Direct. I cannot stress enough how utterly dissatisfied I am with the services provided by Universal Windows Direct. Their negligent actions have caused significant harm to my property, both aesthetically and functionally. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere, as this company has proven themselves to be unprofessional, unreliable, and unresponsive. read more

I feel like this place is a scam. My husband and I bought a new house and before moving in we wanted to get a few windows replaced. We heard of this place on the radio and gave them a call. We scheduled an appointment to have them come to the house and give us an estimate. For some odd reason, all homeowners have to be present in order to get a special rebate discount. Which means I had to be present at the estimate appointment which was 2 weeks after I had just given birth. My husband explained that we have a 2 week old baby and it would be a huge pain to bring her over to the completely empty new house for the appointment which they said could take over an hour. They insisted that there were no exceptions and I had to be there in order to get this discount which was supposedly 250$. So, the day of the appointment we packed up the baby and went to the new house for our consultation. Our appointment was at 1:00 pm. Around 1:20 no one had shown up yet. My husband called them and they said the rep is en route but hit traffic and they were sorry. WHY DID WE HAVE TO CALL?!? They should have given us a heads up they were running late. 1:40 rolls around and they finally call us and tell us that their rep went "rogue" and they could send a new one to do the estimate. We had 11 windows installed by Ransom, Maggie, Rob and the rest of the crew. We had some windows in brick, removal of a bay window and a few other challenging windows. They were totally awesome, professional, friendly, and hard working. Ransom not only managed the entire install but did all the fine trim work, he is truly a master carpenter! We had an excellent experience and know it was because of the install crews dedication to customer satisfaction. Universal Windows ruined my mother's condo. She paid over $8,000 for new windows in her condo. After faulty installation, they immediately began leaking down the entire condo from the 2nd story windows down into the basement. She called and called and called but they refused to fix the windows and would hang up on her. When she asked them to come fix the leak, one representative literally said "You can't tell us what to do". Finally, I had a contractor tear out the drywall to confirm the faulty window installation. They covered the weep holes in the windows thus causing the windows to take in water and send it inside the house. They send out installers who have no idea what they are doing and refuse to take any responsibility to correct faulty installation or to correct the damage they caused. HORRIBLE COMPANY! This company is awful. After waiting well over the 12 weeks at the latest for the door to be made... they did not show up for the first two appointments we had. Finally someone showed up for the third appointment. There is a hole in the screen door and they put the handle on backwards. I have video of one of the installers peeing in my driveway. TL;DR: Don't use this company unless you want to wait forEVER for work to be completed, receive NO customer service or updates on work completion, and be locked into the contract "as is" without any flexibility. Currently four months after signing and we still have no windows. Ryan Finnegan sold us windows on 8/29, four days after we purchased our home with the original windows from 1976. The purchase of one of the windows was based upon how quickly installation could happen because we were planning to remodel the kitchen/dining room in the spring of 2021, and Ryan assured us that installation could happen within 4-6 weeks, or around the end of October at the latest. So, we ordered the window in question. The final measurements took place on 9/10 and I received an email on 9/24 that our order was in production and a second email on the same day that our product had been delivered. On 10/27, I called to check on the status and was told that there was a delay in glass production and my windows/door could not be delivered until mid-November. I informed the service rep that since the windows had not been completed, I wanted to cancel the one window in our dining room that would be included in the spring remodel. Ryan contacted me saying that the windows had already been "built" without the glass and that I would be receiving my order in a "few more weeks." He sent me a link to a customer portal to "follow" my order, which had my windows and doors being installed on separate dates in early/mid-November. On 12/18, I checked the portal to find new installation dates (with no communication of this), and that my door and storm door were supposed to have been installed on 12/11 and 12/15 with the window install on 12/29. Since two of those dates had passed, I again phoned UWD to inquire about the status of my windows and door and to ask again about the one window being removed from the order since spring was approaching in approximately 3 months. I received a return voice mail from Eric who left a stern message that I was unable to remove anything from my order despite my install date being moved more than two months past the first expected installation date. I left a message and sent an email to Eric expressing my disappointment and asking if I could at least resize the one window considering that Ryan wrote the order with the assurance I would have these windows by winter. I explained that we planned to purchase the new window and patio door (additional business) for the remodel, but the window as measured would be completely unusable once the remodel was complete. Eric has not responded to my email or voice mail message in the past three days (despite saying he would be in the office on Monday), and my portal still claims a December install date, now with an asterisk noting "This is an estimated date. Estimated dates are subject to change without notice." Customers who purchase windows and doors for an amount near $20,000 deserve better service than being held financial hostage to a contract that the contractor has not honored, an ambiguous message in a portal, absolutely no follow up regarding changes to installation, no flexibility with part of an order that financially amounts to 1/10 of the total cost. I have no idea when our windows will be installed, nor will anyone in customer service respond to me beyond pointing me to a portal with already-passed installation dates. It is absolutely unfathomable for any company to expect customers to deposit $9,000 for work not completed in 110 days without so much as a guesstimate as to when work can be done. read more

Purchased $12,000 worth of windows this summer and were initially happy. However, we quickly discovered one window was broken and have called repeatedly to have it fixed. We've been given the run around and still have yet to have someone contact us to come out and replace. We had a sales rep at our home. Everything went good. He informed me that the caulking from the window to the casing could shrink after install and asked me if I minded recalking it if needed since I'm a contractor (interior). I said no problem. 4 months go by and its finally time for our new windows. Half way through the install my wife calls and I come home to pay the contractors. I noticed that the flashing on the exterior had not been installed and asked them about it. They informed me that it was stated in the contract that I would do the flashing. I explained the conversation I had with the sales rep. They said they run into issues with sales reps doing anything to make a sale and it is always bad but he had never seen this request before but I would have to call the office and deal with it there. I call the company and am told they will send the contractors back out that day. this was at 10am. at 330 still no contractors so i call back. I talk to a different person and am told there is no notes or anything in my file or whatever that I had even called. I explain my issues and am told they will call next week. Needless to say its been a bunch of calls and emails. everyone tells us something different and we are still dealing with it. customer service has been horrible. everyone is pointing there finger at someone else instead of getting the job finished. The day after install I was taking the stickers off of the windows and realized (since flashing wasnt installed) that the upstairs windows was never insulated. My window downstairs in 1 1/16 leaning outside. Those issues were brought up 3 days later when someone finally got back to me. My biggest mistake was not looking at the reviews of this company before hand. Everywhere I look people have many unresolved problems from crappy work. After rescheduling my install three times, the installers show up with a broken window which I have to schedule a new appointment to have that window replaced and they called the day of to cancel that appointment. A precautionary warning, please DO NOT HIRE Universal Windows Direct to install your home windows. The management is so disgustingly bad, in Charlotte, NC, 704-594-1900 - this number is actually directed to their Cleveland Office. You will absolutely regret it. We hired them 6 months back to install new bedroom windows. First, the technicians that showed up were very strange and looked like they have never done this job before, total rookies. Second, the very next day, we realized we couldn't open one of the windows as the piece or one of the window tools turned out to be damaged already. We called them immediately to report this and they told us they will have to order the piece which will take XXX amount of days and then the technician will show up to fix it. Noone called us after the repair ticket number was issued until we called to check if the piece was ordered and then some very unprofessional customer service lady on the phone says - oh yeah the piece is here, we will schedule you on these days. It's been about 6 months now, it remains unfixed. The first appointment given to us was on December 31st-2021(the tech guy didn't show up) then they told us the tech will come on January 3rd-2022(did not show up, with an excuse got sick)- then the date was given on January 10th, 2022 which was again pushed back on January 17th- 2022. They will tell you as a consumer you have a lifetime warranty, but what is the warranty good when the window still remains damaged and you paid for something that you can't enjoy it and the service sucks! big time! This company should be closed for good and definitely calls for a lawsuit. Please make a smart move, a wise decision and USE OTHER AND ANY OTHER WINDOW COMPANIES, THAT WILL RESPECT YOUR INVESTMENT, as these upgrades don't come cheap. read more

Universal Windows Direct began installation of 22 replacement windows at our home in Galena on July 7, 2020. Three broken windows were installed at this time. When we questioned this practice, we were informed that it was "company policy" and replacements would be expedited. Numerous phone calls and emails resulted in a subsequent service call on October 9, 2020. Service technician repaired some faulty screens and took numerous photos of broken windows, poor caulking and inferior workmanship. Again we were promised that replacement windows would be expedited, however, after calling Universal Windows again today (December 28th), we still do not have a scheduled repair date. Please let our horrible experience serve as a warning! We are filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and feel we have no option but to proceed with litigation. First of all, I believe that you can truly tell how a company operates when they make a mistake. The way they handle the mistake speaks to their integrity. I had one minor issue with delivery on my order and one larger issue with installation. Todd Maynard with UWD, personally saw to my concerns being addressed! He saw to it that the company reimbursed me financially for the issues. He made a personal visit to my house. He had several phone conversations with me. Ultimately, he offered great customer service. I recommend this company to anyone who is shopping for windows. I notice a lot of reviews remark on their prices being high. I wouldn't even give this company one star...they came out to give an estimate on 9 regular sized windows in my condo. Their initial quote $12,300. Really for 9 windows at bogo. How ridiculous is that. Then within 3 mins it was down to $6300. That's still quite a bit higher than the other 2 quotes I received. My friend Chris has his done approximately 6 months ago had 13 windows 3 of which were odd shaped and his initial quote $12,300 his final cost $5000. They called me back a couple times and begged me to come back out with a much better offer which I reluctantly agreed too and they should be ashamed of themselves. They wasted my time and the poor gentleman that came out the second time. The offer was $6200. I said you actually came out for $100 off. That's a terrible waste of my time and yours. Spent 4 hours cleaning the mess off the windows, 3 windows are scratched, one screen is torn, one window is completely broken, glass hanging everywhere. Try calling office hours are over at 5pm. Call from 9am to 9:40 before someone answers, guess what, they can not have anyone here until Saturday. Really...husband had to miss work to finish cleaning up the mess they left in my house. Our journey with UWD started off great, I honestly liked our sales person he was nice, personable and friendly. He was here the same day we called and we bought and paid for 10 windows at about 12k. We were supposed to have the measurements within the next week. Then a call bumping the measurements out a month. Ok fine I'll wait no big deal right? We arranged out schedules so at least one of us would be home all day. Then the afternoon before our appointment, a call saying it would be another month before someone could be in "our area" our measure guy was out permanently due to a family emergency. (no longer employe) I called to try to say this was not a reasonable time frame for an already paid for project just to get measurement. The ladies at the call center basically were like sorry about your luck. Finally after having to raise a huge fuss a manager who was out of state called back, and I was able to cancel our contract. (Also found out im not the only one backing out) They have a serious lack of employees and honestly the owners should probably become the company's measurement techs if they want to deliver on promises. Installers were courteous and professional, went out of there way to finish on time, Greg even came back on the weekend in the cold to finish trimming out the windows, and even painted the inside trim to match the windows. read more

I purchased windows an a sliding glass door in 2018. Sliding glass door didn't have drains so when we had the heavy rain in March 2020, the water puddles up in the tray and I called them the fixed them. Spring forward to 6 months. Started cleaning the outside windows and noticed several of the pins that tilt were loose. Called 9/23/2020 scheduled an appointment for 10/7/2020 3-5pm. No one showed up. Called the next day they showed the notes where I called no one pushed the order rescheduled 10/20/2020 guy comes out, tightens all the pins, orders me a new sash for one of the windows. Showed him pictures of condensation on the inside of my windows. Tells me I need chimney bricks they'll bring out with sash 6-8 weeks. I called around Thanksgiving left message several messages left no 24 hour return as they advertise for messages. Finally right before Christmas I got a voicemail. I called back left another message saying just send me an email with date and time and we will be here and remember to bring the chimney blocks. Got called first week of a January scheduled appointment for 1/13 again reminded chimney blocks. Repairman shows up today no chimney blocks acted like it wasn't on order I told him I called confirmed on Monday the blocks. Adamant won't fix the problem. Also showed him pictures of where the frame around the window when rain between outer glass and frame water is getting in and molding. Said can't do anything, then tells me how I can take the beaded seal out remove the glass clean the mildew and put beaded seal back in. However if I do will negate my warranty. Hands me a pamphlet on condensation control from Polaris Windows and Doors a different company. Called universal why he was there told them ...they don't know what happened have to talk to warehouse manager on why no chimney bricks. And someone would call me back that afternoon still no callback. Emailed them all the pics including the one of the pamphlet. So far I'm not happy and we paid cash for 16 windows. B read more

If i could give ZERO stars i Would! I had 7 window company come out and give me a quote for a house that i am flipping. Universal Windows Direct won the bid. Then 5 weeks later asked for another $600 on top what i have ALREADY PAID PER THEIR CONTRACT $600 because they said that their sales rep gave wrong quote. Universal $%&* Windows waited 5 weeks later to tell me this! DO not waste your time or money with this company! read more

We had 13 windows replaced. Universal Windows claim the windows are custom built just for our openings. As they were installing the windows I noticed that there was a 1/2 to 3/4 inch gap on the sides and at least an 1 inch gap at the top that they fill with foam. To cover the gaps they double tape a trim strip on the window frame. The installers left trash on the ground at every window, on the roof, an empty water bottle in my shrub, trampled some flowers in a flower bed, knocked the landscape stones out of place around two beds and one of then emptied their dip spittoon in my front yard. The caulking had missing gaps that let water run in behind the siding. When we were talking to the salesman he indicated the windows came with half screens but there is a full screen option at no cost difference. After we signed the contract and gave him a post dated check he left. The next day we discussed we would rather have full screens and contacted the salesman and was told it would not be a problem because the windows have not been started yet. When the salesman called for permission to deposit the check we restated we wanted full screens, again no problem they haven't started building the windows. When the guy came to accurately measure the windows, again no problem all they have to do is make them. When the first window was being installed I noticed they had half screens. I told the installer and he said it wasn't a problem they just have to make them and install the screens. I called our salesman right then but he didn't get back with me until about 4.5 hours later. He said he would get with the sales manager and see what could be done. After a couple phone calls and a few texts I was told I got the best deal possible and full screens would be an additional charge of $400. I requested the sales manager to call me but he never did. I called Universal Windows  and was transferred to the service dept and I explained  the situation and was told I would have to pay for the screens. I asked to talk to the service manager. She told me the same thing but added I got what I contracted for, I got a quality product for my money and she was the top authority in that dept and I couldn't speak to a supervisor above her. I scheduled a service appointment to fix the caulking a little over 2 weeks out. We will see how the repairs go. So in short make sure what you want in in the contract, you will receive nothing more nothing less no matter what they say. Their custom built tolerances are at least 1 inch (ridiculous)You will have to double check there work and clean up after them. Not feeling well about the lifetime warranty after my dealings so far. read more

They got all 12 windows in in one day it was a little late getting the windows manufactured that was due to the covid-19 delays. Installers were awesome the windows are awesome I cannot express how much I love my new windows. I have not been able to see out of my old windows for years because the seals were bad. I absolutely love my windows. read more
