Allan provided a free appraisal, handled all negotiations, didn't charge until "he made me money". Within 3 days, he successfully made me $2300 more. Excellent! If you're debating, CALL HIM!! Full review: My BMW was completely lost to a car fire. I went back and forth with my insurance adjuster on the valuation for a few weeks. Their initial offer was about 10% (a few thousand) less than what I believed my car to be worth, especially in this inflated 2021 market. Locked in a stalemate, I escalated my concerns to a manager who informed me of the independent appraisal claim clause. I then researched and contacted between 15-20 independent appraisers. ~10 provided a free valuation either by email or over the phone during an initial consultation. ~5 or so required $75-$195 for the initial valuation or market search. They all then required other fees to negotiate. Late in the process, I reached out to Allan at Car Counselors, and he emailed me a valuation higher than what I was expecting. He then advised me to reach out to my adjuster, forward them his valuation and then ask them who they will be using. That afternoon I forwarded him what Progressive provided me. This was all before we even discussed his fees. Later that evening we spoke. He outlined his strategy, extensive experience, and informed me he wouldn't charge me unless "he made me money". He even knew the adjuster that Progressive used having worked together in the past. A few days later he called me with an offer $2300 more than what insurance initially offered to settle for. If you have any trepidation, call him. You will not regret it.

Our family member utilized services for a flooding issue at his residence. While items were stored in a Serv Pro facility to remodel the basement from flooding, their facility caught fire damaging the contents/furniture of the home. Items were returned with smoke damage and asked to be removed. To date (over a year later), Serv Pro has yet to provide an inventory list of the smoke damaged items they had taken out of the home, how insurance costs were determined in light of not having an inventory list and multiple unanswered questions. Not to mention leadership lacks professionalism and runs a business with unethical business practices. After escalations to Serv Pro leadership, they also failed to resolve and engage. Shame on you Serv Pro... 1/31/24 Update...thank you Dan Thorman for the response. When we attempted to resolve the issue with you directly, you "owned" our case under Thorman Enterprises despite it being bought out. Our family did escalate to the new leadership to include Brooke Fritchen (General Manager) and Matt Marchese . We were told Thorman Enterprises owned the claims. So which is it?? Regardless Thomean Enterprises, Brooke Fritchen, Matt Marchese, Serv Pro failed to resolve. I used this company for carpet cleaning and laying LVP and would never ever recommend them. They never one time divulged the owner would not be doing the work, but a subbed out team would. I at the same time hired them to do vent cleaning. I had other contractors there at the same time ( painting crew), and they informed me having their duct work cleaned in their own homes, that 1-800- water damage did not clean my vents. so I hired another company to come look and they videoed my vents to show they were not cleaned at all. The 2nd company found a brand new roll of Duck Tape in tge vents that was about 40 years old, along with trashy build up, a few nails and other objects...showing they indeed had not cleaned my vents. my carpets lifted on the edges, not in just 1 room, but all rooms. Tcompany he subbed to for my LVP, could not speak any English and nit 1 time was a leader or manager there to oversee the work being done. 1-800-water did not know any of these guys. when 1800 came to shampoo my carpets they moved all furniture out of my livingroom and pinned my husband in his wheel chair in tge dining room, with a 5 x fractured back and 3 broken ribs. I found him pinned in for over 9 hours when I got home. pathetic, and would never use this guy / 1-800-water damage out of Trimble Mo. only 5 minutes from my home. I never recieved a refund on "their guaranteed work", I have 3 years to bring legal action and most likely will. Owner David, made every excuse in the book to quantify his work. I am so dissatisfied and angry with Green's Carpet Cleaning and Maurice Green (which is a one man…read morebusiness; even though he told me he has a team of workers and million dollar clients). It took me a while to gather myself and my thoughts to write this review, but I feel the need to warn potential customers before they make the mistake of hiring this deceptive person for any service. I contracted Maurice Green, the owner of Greens Carpet Cleaning (GCC) last year to clean my carpet and my air ducts and I thought he did a good job. We work out at the same community center and I referred other customers from the center. One year later, I had a home fire. I wanted to use Maurice Green and GCC to do smoke the mitigation after he told me this was his expertise. I try to always utilize small businesses in my community whenever possible. I hired GCC to complete the cleaning and priming of the walls before the contractors and painters came in. Maurice assured me that he could do the job and that it was a regular service his company performs. He asked for half of the quote before service began and because I knew him, I obliged. WRONG!!!! SEE PHOTOS (all the white spots on the walls are where the painters had to go over and over the walls to smooth them out. A mess! From day one, after looking at his work, my gut told me that Maurice was not accustomed to doing major smoke mitigation or any at all, for that matter. There was paint dripping down my walls, but Maurice said it was the sprayer and that he was going to get another one. Maurice didn't have the correct equipment or ozone machines, because my insurance company placed those in my home from day one. After my insurance adjuster spoke with Maurice on the phone, the insurance adjuster called me to tell me he wasn't sure GCC could do the job. I told this to Maurice, but he assured me he could, I took him on his word. Maurice Green completely destroyed my walls due to the fact that he really didn't know how to use a sprayer (the new painters told me) and he let the paint drip down the walls without back rolling. It looked like a blind person painted the walls. Paint was splattered everywhere including the ceramic floor tile, walls and wood flooring. We had to clean paint off the fireplace and the walls were dripping paint daily. When I pointed it out, Maurice used the excuse (one of many) that his sprayer was defective. I finally had enough told him to stop and I was going to hire someone else. He then dropped the "F" bomb on me and got very aggressive with me. (Oh he also asked for more money in the middle of the mess, I refused.) I was in total disbelief!! Is this nut getting mad at me for messing up MY house?? After reading other reviews, I see anger is his M.O. and is often how Maurice does business. If you're dissatisfied with his work, he gets mad. Watch out, that is not a businessman or professional. I happened to meet a close relative of his, through a friend of mine, and his own family member told me to NEVER use Maurice and that he has been scamming people for years!!!!!!! AVOID this business at all costs!!!! On top of everything else, after the final cleaning, I hired another air duct company to clean out the ducts from the construction. Do you know that the ducts were not even cleaned correctly when Maurice did them? The new air duct professional pulled out old stuff from my ducts and without criticizing Maurice and GCC, he just said this stuff is pretty old, maybe he missed it. DO NOT HIRE THIS UNPROFESSIONAL, ANGRY RUG CLEANER!

If you are considering Phoenix Restoration for water mitigation or restoration, read this…read morecarefully. Phoenix Restoration performed water mitigation at our home in January 2025 following a sewer backup. What followed was a months-long ordeal involving undisclosed mold, mishandled asbestos issues, contradictory documentation, and unprofessional conduct. The most concerning fact: neither we nor our insurer discovered these issues ourselves. Our insurance adjuster uncovered Phoenix's own internal photos more than nine months later in a portal neither of us had access to. Those photos fundamentally changed the claim. This review is based on documented evidence and a recorded call involving Phoenix, the insurer, and myself. Key Issues: - Undisclosed Mold: Phoenix photographed mold behind drywall in January 2025 but never disclosed it to us or the insurer. The adjuster confirmed there was no mold documentation anywhere in the claim file. When questioned, Phoenix claimed a verbal disclosure but admitted they had no notes, emails, or records to support that claim. - Asbestos Tile Disturbance: Phoenix's own photos show intact asbestos-containing floor tiles before demolition and cracked, chipped, and missing tiles afterward. Despite this visual evidence--even when shown their own photos--Phoenix denied disturbing the tiles. The adjuster stated the photos clearly supported the homeowner's account. Contradictory and Unreliable Documentation: The insurer identified serious inconsistencies, including: - Drying logs with identical timestamps across rooms - Logs inconsistent with Phoenix's claimed site visits - Records appearing to be entered later in bulk - Conflicting timelines and unexplained equipment billing - The adjuster repeatedly noted that the records did not align with Phoenix's explanations. - Unprofessional Conduct: During a routine fact-finding call, Phoenix's representative became defensive, evasive, and hostile, refusing to answer basic questions. The adjuster had to de-escalate the call and later confirmed the behavior was unprofessional and unnecessary. - Adjuster's Assessment: Our adjuster, who handles claims nationwide, stated she had never encountered a contractor who failed to perform post-remediation clearance testing. She described Phoenix's approach as "very unusual," their communication as lacking, and their conduct as below industry standards. - Impact: Because Phoenix failed to disclose hazards, denied documented damage, retained photos internally for months, and produced inconsistent records, the insurer was forced to investigate long after the fact--delaying hazard testing and forcing us to reconstruct events ourselves. - Bottom Line -- Phoenix Restoration: 1. Failed to disclose documented mold 2. Denied asbestos damage shown in their own photos 3. Produced contradictory and unreliable records 4. Behaved defensively during basic information-gathering 5. Fell below industry standards, per the insurance adjuster I do not recommend Phoenix Restoration for mitigation or remediation work--especially where mold or asbestos may be present. Homeowners deserve transparency, professionalism, and safety. Feel free to review the transcript and audio file of the communication between Phoenix, myself, and my insurance adjuster: https://turboscribe.ai/transcript/share/6854478632927015031/ji7ufVhCh65uOTjfBF0q5Qe5aAkTT12nkiM-34gOdYA/2025-11-06-call-with-phoenix-250045657
