Nurse Rita was also very comforting to my son after surgery. As my son was coming out of anesthesia he begun feeling nauseous and she was there to help comfort him and help clean up after him like a concerned mother should be to their own son. It was a lot for me to handle alone and she was right there by his side helping to make him feel better. Like I said. It was a rough start but the staff and doctor was on top of everything that we needed for my son to start feeling better. Please be patient with this group. I can only imagine what they have to deal with on a daily basis with people on government insurance. But take my word. Your in good hands with this group! I had to pay $95.00 consulation fee and $240.00 up front for my service since no oral surgeons are in network with Aetna locally. I verified with my insurance that services would be covered in full, consultation and extraction, my responsibility was 10.00 and the dental office would need to refund me the balance of $325.00. I called MANY times and spoke with dental office insurance specialist. I kept getting the run around. They would promise a return call and NEVER call back. Two different insurance concierge called them on conference call with with me and the dental office to verify they had paid my claim, gave them the payment verification code and let the office know they need to send me my refund. They continued to claim that they hadn't received payment but would look into it and give me a call back. I never received the call. I made a follow-up call in which I was told they had indeed received the payment, but their insurance processing dept was backed up but my check is in the mail since they no longer process refunds electronically. Its been over a month and I still have not received my money.

Narrated everything they were doing as they did it. The quality of care was exceptional. When it came time for Dr Meyer to give me the IV sedation, I felt ready and comforted. Single-handedly the best dental experience I've ever had. Recovery has been going really well, too. I was told what to expect and when. I called with an anxiety induced concern and they were able to bring me in within minutes to check the extraction site(s). Everything was fine but they never made me feel bad for calling. I feel important, cared about and valued there. I will recommend Dr Meyer and her team, the whole Ruckman office really, to anyone needing an oral surgeon. Don't even bother going anywhere else!

It has been a long time since I have had a tooth pulled so I was nervous going in to this. I needed…read more1 tooth pulled and 1 root extracted (the tooth had broken off). I got the appointment quickly. I thought it would be a long way out. I checked in with the friendly staff. I was taken back to the room where the dental assistant explained the procedure in detail to me. Asked a few questions about my health history that hadn't been on the questionnaire I had filled out online, took my blood pressure and told me the doctor would be in shortly. When Dr. Myer came in she introduced herself, was quite friendly and we joked about a few things, She explained a few more things. Then we got busy. Shots were in, a little waiting for the numbness and she and the assistants came in and within 15 minutes the teeth were out. It was amazing! I didn't feel anything, not pinching, not pressure, nothing. She is very skillful and very patient oriented. She talks to throughout letting you know what she is doing. I couldn't have asked for a better dentist or staff! The one thing that did surprise me was that even though I have excellent insurance that would pay for the entire procedure, I was asked to pay for half up front. It will take 2-3 weeks for them to reimburse me. Living on SS that is a hard pill to swallow especially since it came as a surprise as I was checking out.

Afdent (Fort Wayne) was absolutely amazing from the moment I walked through the door. I came in…read morearound 10:30 a.m. the day after Christmas with serious tooth issues, and the front office staff immediately made me feel cared for--offering ice packs and oral numbing gel while they helped me get settled. Despite having a completely full schedule, they went above and beyond to make room for me and complete extensive work, including a tooth extraction, bone graft, and creating a replacement flipper so I didn't have to leave without a tooth. The lab team even stayed late to finish my flipper. I truly can't express how thankful and grateful I am for the time, effort, and genuine compassion the entire team showed me. Dr. Hubbard and Dr. Hester were fast, efficient, and did an excellent job. However, the person who truly made the biggest impact on my experience was the dental assistant, Cindy. She was phenomenal--handling X-rays, multiple impressions, and thoroughly explaining everything along the way. Her passion for her job truly showed, and she made me feel completely at ease throughout the process. It could of been the new girl that did my appointment but in my head I showed up over half an hour early but she told me I was late then the came up with the amazing idea of hey maybe a 1pm will cancel and you can wait here to see if we can maybe see you. Psst already wasted an hour of my life. They asked me to reschedule but that's how you lose business by doing unprofessional work.
