I've visited this store 4 times for different occasions and would definitely come back here again. Here's why... The staff is incredibly helpful. I've had the opportunity to work with Chris on finding my fit and a pair of shoes for work. His insight into color combinations and seasonal palates give you a vision of how the shoe will look in your wardrobe. I ended up ordering the Park Avenue! Now they did not have the color I wanted in my size, so I did have to wait for 2 days until I had them. But Chris gave me email updates on tracking info and when the pair finally arrived. I was stoked to finally wear my pair! Now Allen Edmonds are NOT CHEAP. It goes without saying that some men consider these shoes a "luxury" and can't fathom spending more than $100 on shoes. That's perfectly fine. Places like DSW or Famous Footwear will take care of you. But don't act surprised when you have to replace that same shoe within 6 months to a year. You have to see these shoes as an investment, you take care of them, they'll take care of you. For those that want new Allen Edmonds but can not afford the sticker price, I recommend you wait for the Independence (in July) or Rediscover America (in October) sales. If you can't wait, try coming into the store and asking about purchasing factory seconds. Now most of these shoes have minor cosmetic flaws, like a dent in sole stitching or a small blemish. Most times the seconds don't even have visible defects. You can't see these shoes online, so you do gamble a bit on what, if any, blemish the shoe has. But for the price, it's a gamble that myself and others have won :) read more

These shoes absolutely have no match. I bought a pair of boots a while ago for work from here and have only worn them recently to work due to my office being closed for a while. Let me tell you I felt great going to work in the best looking and best feeling boots in the world! One of the only shoes still made in America! I am going to buy a new pair soon at the Lasalle street store in Chicago soon and will post a picture of how good they look! read more

Super nice folks, superb salespeople, and kind to a couple of rain-drenched tourists. I loved their shoes, but they didn't have what I needed other than one pair that was $300, which is outside my price range for those particular shoes. My husband has purchased a few pairs of shoes from this location. The service has always been excellent and the products are top notch. AE just recrafted a pair of his Park Avenues and they look brand new. The shoes are re-soled, re-heeled, buffed, polished, with new laces. This was $125 which is a steal instead of buying a new pair. Turnaround time was about a week. If you're in need of a sharp pair of quality crafted shoes to go with your suit there is no other than Allen Edmonds in my opinion. read more

I bought my very first pair of Allen Edmonds shoes just before Christmas. I love the fact that most of their products are still made in the USA. I was able to find a great pair of casual/dress shoes. Priscilla was the lady who had helped me with my selection. The pair that I wanted wasn't in stock, so I had a pair shipped to my home for free within a few days. The shoes are great and I know they will last for a long time. What really impressed me was that I received a thank you card in the mail from Priscilla for my purchase. I don't know of any store that goes out of their way to personally thank their customers. More stores, especially high-end stores, need to do this for their customers. I wear almost exclusively Allen Edmonds shoes, both at the office and when dressing casually. This location is definitely geared more toward business-appropriate shoes, for which I can't fault them, but it'd be nice to have them carry the full size range in all styles (especially since they're larger than the Michigan Ave location.) The staff isn't quite as knowledgeable as the Michigan Ave location, but they're very pleasant. They even sent me a thank-you email after my last purchase there. Overall: good store. I needed new dress shoes for a work event and the salespeople here were able to guide me to a nice pair that were on sale. The service was great, as I was able to learn quite a lot about the brand, and different shoes for different occasions. I have been to this store numerous times in the last couple months. Before being sized here, I always thought I was a 12. Turns out I am actually a 10.5 Triple Wide! I have slowly but surely been adding to my shoe collection as sales and my budget allows. The staff at this store are very knowledgeable and friendly. I have not had a bad experience with any of them. That being said, one in particular has been fantastic each and every time I visit. Rufus has in depth knowledge of AE shoes, but also men's style in general. If you need anything HE IS YOUR MAN! I am now one of the many Allen Edmonds customers for life. This store gave perfect service yesterday (7/21/2020), as I arrived near the end of their weekday hours, but they still took my shoes for a re-craft. The sharp and friendly salesperson named "Chris" really helped me with said re-craft, so I recommend asking for him specifically. I needed dress shoes for my wedding and knew Allen Edmonds made the quality of shoe I was looking for, though I'd never shopped with them before. Ashley showed me many excellent options, all of which matched what I was expecting when I told her what I was looking for, and she advised me on a promotion I could take advantage of that would enable me to get a higher-quality shoe at a better value than I otherwise would have bought. When I chose a pair of shoes that she didn't have in my size, she personally called someone and coordinated to have my shoes shipped directly from the factory in time for my wedding. They arrived exactly when she said they would, and they look and feel outstanding. From now on, whenever I am in the market for shoes of similar quality, I will be shopping here. read more
