I hoped on Yelp to find an HVAC company with great reviews and after looking at a few, I decided to try Cape Fear. I called their after hours number and was immediately taken care of. The representative took my info and had Mike call me. Mike called me in less than 10 minutes and agreed to come out. He arrived about 30 minutes after we hung up, he located the problem, told us he could fix it and told us the cost. We agreed to the cost and Mike went to work. Our A/C was fixed and running in about 2 hours from the time I made the call. There was an after hours service fee and the cost of parts, but it wasn't expensive and I'm very frugal The only negative comment is that I see they offer military discounts, but we were not offered one. A little discount goes a long way. Thanks Mike, thanks Cape Fear.

Instead, Mrs. Laney and Mrs. Caroline were both extremely disrespectful and had terrible attitudes from the moment they answered the phone. As a customer, I wasn't argumentative--I was simply trying to understand a billing issue. Rather than listening or attempting to help, they were dismissive, rude, and made me feel like my questions were an inconvenience. Customer service starts with the first person who answers the phone, and unfortunately, this interaction reflected very poorly on the company. I hope management addresses how customers are treated because no one should be spoken to with disrespect for asking a simple billing question and shouldn't feel like they are annoying them by any questions it's the job they are getting paid for. I was so disappointed and after reading reviews I actually drove 30 minutes to talk to someone over them and when I walked in all I said was "hey how are you doing is there anyone that I can talk to over the establishment" and I was greeted by a older dark hair lady that would not give me her name or anyone else's that I could talk to after I told her what it was about. All she kept saying was we aren't going to be doing this which I don't even know what she was referring to because I was only there to talk to someone over them but at the end of the day if you are a person that feels like when you call a business you should be treated with respect please stay away from this business because apparently this has been a issue with other people according to reviews and it hasn't been handled

Fast forward to a little over a year later, I was having issues with my thermostat actually getting the system to keep the house at the set temperature. Mind you the service warranty had expired, they came out for free and determined I needed a new circuit board ($575) and came back today with the part to install it and charge me. It ended up being a low voltage issue under my house in another area instead of the board. Any company could've just fixed it and told me it was the board and still charged me. Since they already installed the board, they didn't charge me for it or the actual repair that was causing the issue. I HIGHLY recommend Honest air to anyone for their heating and air needs. This kind of service and honesty is hard to come by these days.

Extremely polite and very professional. Myself, have worked in the service industry for 46 years. I would be honored to have an employee under my supervision of this caliber. Extremely polite and respectful. After service was performed, we left to go shopping. When we returned, the house was getting very warm. Calling for service, Zach returned. very conscientious of the situation, he retraced his steps. In his investigation he found in his cleaning for the system in the attic, the cleaner caused more debris to travel down the condensation drain causing a stoppage and shutting down the system. He followed up with not only additional cleaning but extracting any excessive debris and rinsing and clearing the drain line. All this at the end of the work day. Miguel Regino arrived on time, which was a plus. He checked my system out as I expected, though I noticed him from my camera that he was on his phone for a while but I can't judge as long as the job was done. He informed me that my capacitor was going bad and quoted me a price a little over $250. He showed me what the number on his meter showed and I was a bit confused because I have some knowledge on capacitors so I declined replacing it. He then offered me a maintenance agreement for the year that included 2 servicing for the year. I took the contract and payed for it figuring, what the heck it was worth it. I called in 7 months later for my semi annual check up and Miguel arrived on time and began quoting the price from the door that I will be paying for this check up. When I told him that he sold me the one year contract with 2 maintenance calls a year, he told me that I only payed $245 for that one visit. The bad part, is that it would have been more if I didn't get the military discount. Oh, I also forgot to mention that I called another HVAV company in December to get a second option on the capacitor and tgst technician showed me the same reading and said it did not need to be replaced. I only decided to use them in the first place because it was veteran owned. I will go back to the company that replaced my less than 2yr old HVAC. I am a senior but I am also a veteran. I felt like prey. It is saddening.
