It took me about 3 months to save up for my down payment and I didn't speak with Dave at all during that time even he reached out. Long story short, Dave kept his word and promise on the cost of the tub while the other guys went back on our negotiated price and raised my cost by a grand. Dave Bristol from Allen Pools is the man! We ended up buying a better tub. Dave gave me his cell number, I was able to text any and all questions I had, whether night time or weekends and he was happy to help. Allen winterized our hot tub at a significant cost which we were ok with. Then in spring they came out to prep it after I filled it but it was empty again. Technician came out and could not fix it claiming it " must be mice" and " nothing we can do". I then received a bill for $455 for nothing but that. Disappointed; we have been a loyal customer for over 6 years, paid over 10 grand for our hot tub. We have paid Allen Pools to professionally winterize and then open our hot tub every year. I take exceptional care of our tub and it is in pristine shape. This year, when we opened our hot tub, the remote control screen (which is about the size of your hand and completely wireless) was cracked with a big black streak down the center, almost as if it had been dropped. The company proceeded to replace it for $825 without authorizing that charge to me first. Furthermore, the tech told me that "the remotes should honestly be taken inside when they are winterized", so why did he leave the remote in the hot tub over the winter? It would have been easy for me to bring it inside. I asked him why didn't he just give it to me in the fall, to which he said "tell our service department and maybe they will work with you on it." After calling the service department four times, the manager said that "they are meant to stay outside" but that is in an operating hot tub that is insulated, heated, and used. The company also charged me for a broken heater which was still under warranty; I called, asked for the charge to be removed, they said OK, and the charge was never removed, so thank goodness I checked my credit card statement. I think they left the charge on there maybe just hoping I was too lazy to pick up on it. To summarize, I don't know who else provides sales and service of hot tub equipment, but I am going to start looking. "caveat emptor." read more

Feels like I'm part of a hot tub community and they were so helpful with picking the tub that was right for me, getting it delivered, answering any questions I had on setting up, maintenance, and they are super responsive. We had a slight mixup where they delivered the wrong tub but they fixed it within 24 hours and customer service was impeccable. We took the time to compare the different areas dealers and we went with Allen Pools and Spa simply for the fact that they have an onsite service department and I felt comfortable working with Kevin. In the installation of the unit Kevin took the time to stop by and do a site review and when the unit was placed, quick to follow up. The only hiccup in the whole process is the seemingly random failing of a pressure switch which caused the unit to lose heat and the water to drop into the 90's. The first time it happened Kevin stopped by and got the spa working as expected and they followed up with a service call. The switch unfortunately failed again two days before Christmas and the weather turning for the worse and Kevin again came by on Christmas Eve Day and we can't thank him enough. As Kevin noted, I sold you that spa, my name is on it too. We recognize that not all products perform 100% out of the box and we are appreciative of the personal service provided. We would completely purchase again from Allen Pools and Spas, not because of the product, but solely because of the attention to service provided. This has been the best experience I have ever had in buying something. I am extremely happy with the way everyone talked to me answered a million question about the product and when we picked our tub the relationship didn't end like most other places. They emails after about a week or so a few times asking how the tub was and if we needed anything to enhance our experience with our tub. We did have to call device for a quick technical switch on the panel no big deal. The entire experience was second to non. I would recommend this place to anyone. after 12 years of using Allen Pools and always paying any repair bills they sent immediately upon receipt, I was extremely dis satisfied to receive an invoice from them saying they had used my credit card to pay the last repair bill. This was never approved by me. Someone simply went into the store computer, and accessed my credit card that I had used at the store to purchase pool chemicals. To add injury to insult I had to cancel my credit card as it has a limit that was far exceeded by bill, which I might add I still have not received as of this date. I will never do business with them again. I have always paid my bills promptly, and they have never waited for any payment. I feel very violated, and have called the attorney General for the state of VT read more
