I had Leo come out to diagnose a leaking water heater. He mentioned that there were two possibilities. Without going into both in detail, after ruling out and confirming one possibility as not the issue, the other possibility turned out to be spot on. Unfortunately, this possibility forced the need to replace the unit. I do think the overall cost to replace the unit was pretty pricey, but the manager at Allen was kind enough to provide me with a 15% discount, which I hugely appreciated!! Leo's technical knowledge, professionalism and competence to diagnose and replace the water heater was second to none. My air conditioner wasn't working, and Allen Service sent a tech to diagnose and fix the problem. The tech suggested installing a condensate pump. I agreed and scheduled an appointment for the following week. A few hours later, the air conditioner stops working. I call Allen the next morning, and they send a tech from one of their affiliate companies to fix the issue. The tech failed to fix the problem, so I called Allen again the following business day. The first representative assured me that someone from dispatch would call me the same day to schedule a more timely appointment. That didn't happen, but I did receive a call from a second representative, who tells me she will call dispatch to see if there's any open availability. She informs me that dispatch will follow up shortly. After a few hours, and having not heard back from Allen, I call yet again and speak to a third representative, who informs me that my original appointment has been pushed back six days. I would have to wait ten days for a tech to come back to fix an issue that they failed to fix the first time, and that I had already paid for. If you're having trouble keeping up with how many visits Allen has made (2), and how many phone calls I've made (4), I don't blame you. My suggestion would be to use another company for your HVAC needs, because Allen has terrible customer service. read more

I had a broken valve on my whole house water filter and also needed a bypass loop incorporated into the plumbing as the previous owner neglected to add that. Tyler was professional and got the job done. There was the rather typical upsale attempt typical of Allen Service which I declined without prejudice. The new plumbing for this filter system is fairly compact and had to be due to a bit of limited space in that particular utility closet. Tyler did a fine job. Allen Service is probably not the most economical company to deal with, but they usually give several options to choose from and the work is always top flight. read more

Mason and Omar cleaned my kitchen sink drain. It was completely clogged with grease, and other stuff after 35 years! used a high pressure cleaning hose bringing the plumbing line back to like new. Both guys super professional, and friendly! Pricey, but worth it in my opinion! read more

We had a furnace and air conditioner put in January of 2025. There have been several calls about problems, and the last one was about the air conditioner. The man who came to solve the problems was very knowledgeable and competent. He determined that the air flow was bad. We talked about it and he pretty much solved the problem, but my complaint is that we should not have this many problems . Obviously the house was not examined close enough to determine the needs of this particular home. That should have been done before just putting in a furnace and air conditioner arbitrarily! Granted, we have not had to pay extra for the service calls, but this should not happen to begin with!! I am not happy with Allen Service right now. read more

After having a different tech come in to fix a defrost issue on our electric heat pump and things just seemed to get worse, Sasha came on an after hours emergency call when the heat unit inside would not shut off no matter what we did (including Sasha). Do NOT use this company!! They charged my 94 year old Mother over $600.00 to replace a $39.00 part for her furnace. It took the tech 2 minutes to replace it. I was never even given a quote. The entire interaction was a joke. The tech was acting like he didn't have the correct part and telling me that if he had to call a parts supplier it would cost $300.00 just for the call! Then after looking 3 different times all of a sudden he found the right part in his van. Next came the surprise bill of $628.00. The tech knew that I was shocked and upset by the price but claimed there was nothing he could do. He also claimed to have given my Mom a discount for being elderly and a discount because my deceased father was military. I called and got a quote from a different company the next day and it was less than $250.00. I do feel that I need to report them to the BBB as that is defrauding the elderly. I also tried reach out to them right away and was told I would get a return call but no one has bothered to contact me. I want large companies to know that this is so wrong. cancelled on me three times. this is a follow up to an earlier review I left where I'd already been rescheduled twice. Client relations reached out to me and gave me a voucher to cover the cost of maintenance. nice perk. however, upon scheduling my tankless water heater to be descaled a third time, the earliest appointment was another 8 days out, making it already a three week endeavor, and putting in for PTO twice to be available for the appointment. The other fun part is that there is one number on their site for the company, but apparently the early scheduler was giving me techs for the Foco area, as the individual scheduling me for my latest attempt for service mentioned, "huh, you're in the denver area,"....no kidding. you ask my address/area code. not sure how that wasn't automatically changing how you book my appointment. That brings us to today, when I get a call AFTER THE TIME WINDOW MY TECH WAS SUPPOSED TO CALL FOR WHEN THEY WOULD BE ONSITE. not before, which is consistent with their brand of customer service. the scheduler mentioned that she has to push my appointment out to the week of march 9th, which will make this a 1 month endeavor to get a simple project done. they also mentioned that three of their techs called out with the flu......I would like to say I'm completely understanding of illnesses.....but amidst the current situation and how it was handled, that's incompetence. Especially when you take the time to mention that you only have 2 techs in the area that are trained to do the service I requested. which kind of tells me that either your schedulers need a bit more training on how to handle these kinds of issues, or more likely, you're making up a story. If you want to wait around, call Allen services. if you want to get your job completed, call someone else. I've now actively lost a day and a half of work/pay trying to utilize their services......at least they have a snazzy website. read more

really wanted them to be good. theyre very nice people but impossible to continue scheduling with in the future. i signed onto their membership since i have a recurring issue with my basement toilet plumbing but its been cancellation after cancelation from them. trying to get them to honor an appointment is pointless. why they even make the appointment im not sure. 80% of the time its canceled. then the rebook might get canceled. beyond that it took them maybe 5 different allen's people to make separate appointments to come install a nest thermostat before they sent a guy that knew about thermostats. it was just a non connected wire. took weeks for them to repair my heat pump ac after i had already paid for service. now got off the phone with them this morning, theyre canceling another appointment, this time for water heater for another who knows how long. canceled my electrical unit check and not looking to reschedule just to get canceled again. waste of time company.
