When my AC was running but not cooling my house, I panicked as it was a Saturday and I worried about being able to sleep in such a warm house. I reached out to HALO on Yelp and within an hour they let me know someone could be here in the afternoon. Chernet came out and diagnosed the issue quickly, replaced the capacitor in 5 minutes, and made double sure the air was cooling as it should. I am so glad I found Halo HVAC through Yelp! My AC stopped cooling in a heat wave and I had many other companies quoting me $200++ for diagnostics or unable/unwilling to come out for weeks. I went to Yelp looking for a better option and definitely found one! Halo was able to come out within a couple days of contacting them and the diagnostic fee was $89, which was to be applied to any work performed if needed. it turned out it was a tripped breaker they were able to reset and my system is cooling perfectly again... for $89!! The most notable and appreciated factor for me is they didn't come in trying to sell me service plans, upgrades to my system or accessories, or otherwise upsell me on a well maintained and well functioning older HVAC system. Even when I asked for a quote on a heat pump to take advantage of the rebates while they last, Halo didn't push me to pick the most expensive option or upsell me on a pricier type of system. And icing on the cake - despite a lot of in and out while working on figuring things out, my technician was constantly putting on and taking off booties to keep my house clean. It's a small token of respect that goes a long way, and I very much appreciate it! I'll be using Halo and referring them to friends and family in the future! read more

They showed up in a timely manner the diagnosis was, as I suspected, a bad fan motor on the condenser coil. They wanted $880 to replace it with no warranty and said my unit was obsolete and they wanted me to instead spend $18k on a whole new system. Gtfoh..... I'm do it myself. read more

The exceeded our expectations again! We had been planning to get our previous plumber to replace our 10-11 year old hot water heater, but he was always too busy. When HALO replaced our furnace and A/C last month when the 25 year old furnace died, we asked if they could do our hot water heater. They were able schedule us to fit our schedule a few weeks later. We've been using HALO for all hvac issues and maintenance for 3 years now and they are always quick to come out, super polite and knowledgeable and fairly priced. They worked on a very elusive issue for us with our old a/c, coming back multiple times without charging for every trip and waiting on hold for hours with the manufacturer's tech support until they reached a solution. Chernet went above and beyond to identify the root cause of the water leak. Steve, on the other hand, made sure Chernet would come back to check out the HVAC unit one more time the next day without any hesitation. Chernet came back the second day and showed me that the HVAC drip pan was in fact not the source of the leak.
