I ultimately had to intervene by hiring a third company to conduct a proper inspection and prepare a professional report for submission to the insurance company. As explained by the insurance representative during mediation, it was only because of this third-party report that I was able to recover anything at all. I relied on this public adjuster's expertise, but that trust was misplaced.
