The front desk workers all like to laugh and talk loud and not pay attention to the patients. I had an appointment at 5:30 pm and got there at 4:45 pm and didn't get seen until 6:30 pm with 7 other clients ahead of me. I was required to do a 6 minute walk with a pulse oximeter on my finger and it came out normal. I was a smoker for 20 years with 2 years of chest pressure, shallow breathing, wheezing, struggling to breathe after walking and stair climbing, stabbing chest pains on both left and right rib cage, back and front sides. After reading my pulse oximeter test results, Dr. Ahluwalia said everything is fine, I don't look sick, why am I here? I didn't realize that a pulse oximeter can detect all or any disease!! Is it psychic?!? Then after I explained (three times now to three different people there) why I was there, he asked me why I didn't see a pulmonologist sooner- to which I replied that PCC Lake Street clinic took this long to take me seriously and give me a referral. I am not responsible for how low quality a clinic is. Then he said it's probably just allergies, but he guesses he could order a blood test and some xrays. Oh wow, gee thanks!!
