OMG! Dr. Croghan seems to be a good Dr. but the office, at Presence Medical Group in Wilmette, is…read moretotally inept. They have referred me to the wrong Doctors on multiple occasions. I have set appointments with the referrals, gone to the appointments, only to be told last minute that they are not a part of the HMO Presence Med Group system. They have given me referrals and when I have called to make appointments it turns out that the doctor is not even in the type of practice I needed. When I called Dr. Croghan's office to inform them of the mistake they said they'd call me right back with a proper referral. They never called back even after I called them four times to remind them. That was over six months ago! They lost the results of my blood work and after calling them multiple times I finally got a hold of Dr. Croghan's nurse who read the results over the phone to me. Who knows, maybe she made them up to stop me from calling. I'm probably walking around with Leukemia thinking everything's OK. No wonder I can't get a date with a vampire. The office manager, Christina, (who I have spoken to multiple times) has no idea what the phrases "Customer Service" , "Company Culture", "Proper Procedure" or "Office Organization" mean. She is a professional double talker who apparently is incapable of any kind of follow-up, let alone competence. The place is a joke. The employees have a heavy mist of gloom hanging over their heads as if they're forced to work there. I went in there today to be reimbursed for the parking fee that I was assessed at the doctor's office where I was erroneously sent by Dr. Croghan's office. Christina gave me a bunch of quarters (most likely retrieved from the desk top pay per play Pac-Man game on her desk), as she rolled her eyes subconsciously blaming me and most likely forming a mental justification barrier for her ineptitude.... I fired her; Not the Presence Med Group mind you, as I'm sure I will need a referral from them to do so, but just her. It was the medication I needed to treat the pain of the slowly decaying American business culture that once cared about the customer and even though it's merely a short term topical treatment it will serve to suffice until I have escaped by means of death due to not being able to actually get medical treatment. I scheduled my phone interview with Dr. Lansky who called the office manager during our call to check and see if that would work and I was told absolutely no problem, again. So after making the decision to spend $6,000 a year to join Dr. Lansky's practice, I was told instead, I'd have to join Dr. Croghan's practice and pay $10,000 as I was "too complicated" to "only pay" $6,000.
