The best doctor in Miami period!! I was diagnosed with exercise induced asthma about 4 years ago. Even with albuterol and Flonase I would continuously get bronchitis (about 6-8 times a year). My primary Doctor, 3 internal medicine Doctors, even a Pulmonologist all couldn't figure it out until I looked online and found Dr. Chahine. This is the first doctor (in any speciality) that actually sat down and asked me question after question then did some tests to help find a treatment. He knows his stuff! On top of that he actually looks out for me regarding prescription costs and helps to find the right one with out taking such a huge hit in the wallet. Brought my daughter here after she broke out in hives. Dr. Chahine was very attentive & took his time explaining her condition to the both of us. She did an allergy test a couple weeks later and has started getting "weekly" shots. Overall the office is great but they lose a point for office hours (no late appointments or Saturdays) and the parking lot really sucks. Parking is scarce and tight. read more

My primary physician recommended Dr. Chahine after I broke out in hives. Dr. Chahine has been incredibly thorough in investigating the root of the problem. So much so that the lab techs were surprised (in a very good way) on how many tests he was requesting when I went to do my blood analysis. I wanted to wait a while before I wrote this. I am currently under treatment with Dr. Chahine for Eosinophilic Esopagigitis which is an autoimmune disease which frankly, I had never heard of until I was diagnosed. I was careful to choose who I wanted to see about this. I wanted to make sure whoever I saw was informed about this disease and had experience. First off, Dr. Chahine is such a kind, soft spoken and gentle person. Besides being extremely knowledgeable he has a kind heart and really listens. He happened to know a whole lot about my condition. First appointment he spent a good 2 hours sitting with me, talking to me and even showing me how to properly use my inhalers (which by the way he provided). He is very conscious of costs and provides you with many sample as well as discount cards. He thinks out of the box which o love! I came into his office with extreme acid reflux, difficulty swallowing and asthma which I had never ever treated. I can tell you that since I started treatment my reflux has completely gone away and I can eat anything I want now. My spinning classes are so much better now that I can breathe easier. I would recommend him to everyone. This is not your typical "factory" as I call them. The medical offices with so many people that the wait is terrible and the doctors are rushed. His office is neat and clean and his staff is great. I have witnessed his demeanor toward his employees and he treats them as if they were family. What a great person!! read more

I do not expect doctor Chahine, who is a "specialist" in his field of medicine, to admit his mistakes publicly, doing so would clearly open him to possible legal action; however, admitting his errors would demonstrate humility, which apparently is a quality he is lacking. Since it was our first time visiting Miami, I had no clue where I should be seen. I chose to see doctor Chahine, based solely on reviews I had read. Contrary to doctor Chahine's statements, regarding my not following his treatment plan and instructions, that is erroneous at best. I took the daily dosage of 100 mg of Prednisone, as he directed, for 4 days to treat a rash on my back; to my joy the rash cleared up. However, I had no idea that this highly potent steroid should be tapered down, especially after taking such a high dosage! Within days after stopping the Prednisone, the rash slowly returned with a vengeance! This time it not only came on my back, but covered nearly my entire body!!! My arms, legs, chest, and face... and very painful I might add, even my feet and legs were showing signs of inflammation. I called doctor Chahine's office to ask him what was happening to me; his receptionist told me to send photos, but to HER email address, not the doctor's. She refused to give me doctor Chahine's direct email address. This made me feel a bit uncomfortable, because this was a private medical situation. However, I needed answers so I did as she asked. A couple of days passed by, and I didn't hear a word from doctor Chahine, so I called his office again. I was told he was with a patient and would return my call soon as possible. A few hours later, doctor Chahine finally called me. I asked him had he reviewed the photos I sent? Shockingly he said "No", but asked me to explain the situation, which I did in detail. There was a long pause of silence on his end... then he asked if I could come to his clinic. At this point, I was completely frustrated, in pain, and needed help. This doctor apparently didn't have time to even review my the photos that I had sent days ago! I couldn't wast anymore time with him. I was frightened at was happening to me. I had suffered sleepless nights due to this terrible problem; nearly every night I could not sleep in a bed, but attempted to sleep in a chair, because my skin was so inflamed and painful. I returned to San Francisco, and was taken to the ER at UCSF Medical Center. I was treated in the ER for 26 hours, then admitted to the hospital where I received treatment for 9 days. UCSF is a well known and highly respected medical center. I was seen by a team 7 doctors, including Immunologists and Dermatologists. All of my treating doctors agreed that 1) 100 mg of Prednisone was far too aggressive to treat the rash that I originally had, and 2) Prednisone is ALWAYS tapered down over the course of several days, sometimes weeks, to minimize the chance of any adverse affects. With all due respect to what doctor Chahine believes, I will believe the unanimous opinions of 7 doctors, who likewise are specialists in their respective fields. As of this writing, July 11, 2018, 5 months later, my rash has mostly cleared up, some still remains on my face, neck, and back. My doctors think I need more time for a complete recovery. When I was treated by doctor Chahine, I thought his treatment was the end of my problem, but to the contrary, it was the beginning of a nightmare for me. I've done my best to explain in detail my experience with doctor Chahinso that whomever reads my experience can draw their own conclusion and make an informed decision. read more

I can't even put into words how happy I am with Allergy and Immunology! I have suffered for years with really bad eczema. I saw multiple doctors, but no one was able to pin down on how to reduce symptoms and just being able to get my skin feeling normal. Even though I am not that old, I was feeling old and tired. My PCP insisted I see Dr. Chabine when I told her I had been to see another allergist. I reluctantly went. Dr. Chabine takes his time, and is like a forensic scientist in searching for the reasons behind illness. My wife had been suffering from allergies for many years. We finally decided to travel from our home country of Panama to seek medical attention in the United States. We made the appointment online and also filled all the initial paperwork online. My wife has been under his care since September, 2014 and we cannot say enough fantastic things about Dr. Chahine.
