THE ABSOLUTE WORST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. He is EXTREMELY unprofessional, didn't want to look at previous proof I had of consistent problems and dismissed me and my symptoms various times, even told me "you didn't study medicine, so you don't know". I need surgery and he does not want to even consider it, all he wants me to do is keep coming for more and more visits. He is money hungry. I have various medical conditions and have seen many doctors, this one is by far the worst. I have been wasting my time here for months. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT COME HERE!!! read more

Oh - I want to update this at 11 pm, to say that by only did Dr Font insinuate that my husbands pain was nonexistent, he also misdiagnosed him. My husband was just admitted to Doctors Hospital because his ear infection has now spread to the bones behind his ear, or mastoiditis. Thank god we went to an emergency room to get a real diagnosis. I blame myself for coming here without reading reviews first, but Dr Font was the only doctor on Florida Blue's provider list in all of Miami. What a mistake he is. My husband had to wait over two hours in a cramped waiting room that was filled with loud speaking Spanish ladies and two tv's playing a Spanish soap opera. After such a long wait, I had to ask two nurses what the hold up was, and about ten minutes later the doctor came in. He literally said "you have an ear infection" which is the first thing we told the nurse, since my husband had already gone to the ER 4 days ago and was diagnosed with double ear infections. He also mentioned my husbands throat is infected, as he can see the pus pockets. When my husband asked for something for the pain he was feeling, this quack had the audacity to say "I refuse to let someone come to my office and get pain meds out of me.". That was easily the most disrespectful thing to ever happen to us. You're better off without medical attention than coming here. read more

I don't know what it is about doctors and their office staff that makes them think their time is more valuable than the patients who keep them in business. I attempted to establish a new patient account with Dr. Font this afternoon but was unable to do so thanks to a major lack of consideration on the part of his staff. My appointment for this afternoon was scheduled about two weeks ago but nobody bothered to call and inform me that he would be in surgery today and unable to see new patients. I arrived at the office to find it locked and when I called and one of the office assistants opened the door, she did not so much as offer an apology with her notification that I would not be able to see the doctor. According to her, I must have "given the wrong contact number" when I scheduled the appointment because they called everyone to advise of the cancellations. I am confident that what they lacked was not the right number but rather the desire to do the right thing by notifying me that I would need to reschedule. Even a simple "I'm sorry you came over here for nothing" would have sufficed but to neglect apologizing and then add insult to injury by implying that I was at fault was definitely over the top. First impression are important and if that is the way his office handles things, there is no need to continue further. Total waste of time and energy. read more

If I can give this sad excuse for a doctor a zero I would. I don't recommend this man to anyone. My mom had surgery in her ear with this man and he has been nothing but rude, disrespectful and condescending towards her. About a few weeks or so after her surgery she kept not feeling well. She would call the dr office and the front desk people would tell her she had to wait for her appointment. The dr never listened to her and when she would see him he was always rude, mean and not professional at all. The worst thing about this is this man had the nerve to question my mom as to who was maintaining her while she missed work and that he never told her to miss work. Well why else would she miss work you fucktard ? Who are you to question someone in that matter and treat them like shit when they're not feeling well. I really don't know how this man has an MD after his name. Maybe the MD means major dick cuz that's what he is. This is the kind of dr that cares about money and not the well-being of his patients. I wouldn't recommend this man to my worst enemy. Please people do your research before you end up with a piece of shit dr like this one. No le recomiendo a este hombre a nadie. UPDATE So, hours after seeing this quack and going home in pain, without a prescription for a decent pain medication, I suddenly come down with a fever of 105.4. I ended up fainting in my bed from what I can assume was a combination of the pain and fever caused by the infection. When I come to, I was in an ambulance that my wife called. As it turns out, the ear infection that would be gone in 2 days had actually spread to my skull, throat, and the back of my neck. I was in the hospital for 8 days and required 2 procedures and several courses of antibiotics. Had my wife not taken me to the hospital again and we had just listened to this horrible doctor, I would have gotten meningitis, which can be fatal, if untreated, like this guy would have done. What I hate most about this whole experience is not that he misdiagnosed me. Anyone can make a mistake. But that he misdiagnosed me while I was telling him that this did not hurt like a normal ear infection. And he treated me like crap. I seriously felt like he was accusing me of making it all up just so I could get painkillers. Well, guess what Dr. Font, they gave me plenty of painkillers in the hospital, BECAUSE I NEEDED THEM! This guy is dangerous, seriously. Even the doctors in the hospital could not believe that this guy just told me to go home and wait a couple of days. A couple of days and the infection would have spread to my brain. I will be filing formal complaints against him with any board with which he is accredited. I'm not suing because this isn't about money, I just don't want any other people to be treated like I was. read more

Dr. Font is the worst doctor I have visited in my years of life. His employees are useless and talkative in Spanish, they do not respect anyone and perhaps speaking ill of the patients, Dr. Font is a money maker, he is only with his patients for not even 5 minutes, the appointment's is often canceled at the last minute , and they give another one to you for almost a month later, the waiting time is more than an hour and all patients with appointments have same time, If you want your health do not have an appointment with this medical medium. read more

We have never had a problem with the doctor, however his office staff is terrible. Unfortunately to get to the doctor, you have to endure the incompetence at the front desk first. I gave 3 stars, because I actually like Dr. Font, but he needs to do something about the bratty little girls working the desk and making appointments, this includes his surgery scheduler. He would have much better ratings if he did something about his staff! read more

Who ever answers the phone there is a joke. Treats us patients like second best. We ask questions and she answers like if we were not smart.

Paid a $93 copay to see a specialist and walked out insulted and not helped. Have had several ear infections and because he has only seen of the 2nd one he has seen my information does not matter or exist. He stated I would have a problem if I would get an ear infection every two-three months and obviously math is not his strength. I have averaged between 2-3 month ear infections in a period of a year. He called me rude and sarcastic, denied my request of an MRI and scoffed at it. Interrupted me and said I am the Doctor and I am speaking. I do not care if you are a Doctor or garbage man- have manners. I am a patient, if was not for us patients there would be no Doctors- they go hand in hand. I see many of the same complaints about Dr. Jean Font's attitude and lack of expertise. He SUCKS, if you want to be misdiagnosed, pay to be insulted and worst of all, not have a resolution-this is your Doctor. Was forced to give one star to write review. read more
