We got take out. My husband and I split a cheesesteak sub. It was shaved roast beef topped with grilled onions, mushrooms, green peppers and mozzarella cheese. It was great! We also got an M&M dessert pizza. Sadly the dessert pizza wasn't great. When I think of dessert pizza I think of a cookie crust.......this had a pizza crust......wasn't real good in my opinion. I think I will stick to the rest of the menu, which had some real good looking items on it. This place also has awesome prices. read more

This is a cash only, carry-out or delivery only pizza window in the town of Nevada, Iowa. I ordered 2 pizzas, one with toppings the other just cheese. There were huge amounts of toppings on the pizza, seriously it was like a big pile. After several pieces I tried the plain cheese, and the flaws became extremely evident at that point. The sauce didn't seem to have much flavor to me. A tangy, tasty sauce is one of my favorite parts of a pizza. This pizza seems to depend on toppings for all of its flavor and not so much the crust, cheese, and sauce. The crust was so-so, they just really need a new sauce recipe. If you must eat pizza and find yourself in Nevada, George's and Casey's are your other two options. George's is the only sit down pizza in Nevada and is local so I'd say that one first :) read more

So over priced and EVERYTHING is made on the same pizza dough, why? Also cash or checks only, no cards accepted Which is super inconvenient. Delivery drivers are always nice so I tip extra for them! The guy that answered (sounded like he ran the place or a manger) was super rude that I called to make an order 5 mins after they close for lunch. I live very rural Nevada, and called my order, and drove in to town to get my pizza. I was disappointed to find out they do not accept credit or debit cards, and I didn't have cash. Fortunately for Alley's, Good 'n Quick across the street was kind enough to allow me to run my card for cash to pay for Alley's obvious shortcoming. Part of the advantage ordering fast food like this is the convenience of payment options. The food, while adequate, isn't exceptional enough to encourage me to carry cash for this level of quality. read more

The pizza here is really good. We order the original crust veggie. Lots of fresh vegetables too. Even the mushrooms are fresh and not canned. Very quick too. Our wait would have been only 15 minutes but we didn't want to pick up that soon. Free delivery is available too. No eat in option. read more

Alley's Pizza in Nevada has gotten better and better over the years. They have a great menu and offer up great pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salad, and desert pizza. They are not an eat-in restaurant so it's either carry-out or delivery. My favorites are the Alley's combo pizza (like a supreme pizza), the Hotza (Pepperoni, jalapeños and Sriracha or Tabasco) and the chicken quesadilla, which is pretty much a meal in itself. They also have breadsticks and spicy hot wings, which we get about every time we place an order. We've never had any problems with ordering or delivery. The employees are friendly and the pizza typically arrives before they say it will. It's always hot, fresh and delicious. Alley's does a great job and we hope they continue to do great business well into the future! read more

This is my all time favorite local pizza place. Keep in mind they do not have a dine-in area so if you don't live in town, you'll either have to make some friends in Nevada for delivery or do carry out. The prices are very reasonable and their little stevies are a steal. They used to only be $2 but recently went up to $3.50, but they're still worth getting. Not only is their pizza awesome, they have great sandwiches and pasta. The meatball sandwich has been a favorite of ours as well as the chicken alfredo pasta and chicken alfredo little stevie. If you haven't been here yet do check it out - it is worth driving from Ames for the carry out. read more

When I lived in this town, I ordered here more often than I ordered from Casey's. They have great tasting food, and our order was always right. Fair priced, and helpful, friendly employees and owners. Between their pizza, sandwiches, and pasta dishes, you could literally eat here all week if you wanted. I plan to make a stop here when I take my family up to the area for a family visit. Well worth the stop out. read more

I ordered from these guys 3 times and that was ENOUGH. Pizza was excellent and it's a shame to have that ruined by bad customer service. I gave them 3 tries. Every time I would call, I would be greeted with a stressed out employee who would yell and snap at me on the phone. I would blow it off... until the delivery driver would show up explaining how bad of a day he is having and how crappy it is to have to bring me food. Pizza went in the garbage the last time. If a person has a hard time communicating with people... I def do NOT trust them to handle making a pizza. Great Pizza, Piss-Poor Employees. You couldn't pay me to eat there again. read more
