If I can give a -ve star review I can give so I have to rate at least one star. They came for a keyless lock replacement as the original lock had ran out of battery. I think as this kind of lock rarely breaks. They took out the old one with a drill to extract it and replace with a new one. They charged $678 for a low grade lock and the labor for extraction and installation. I feel it is a complete rip off. As I was out of town I couldn't fix it myself. I would warn anyone who needs similar service to avoid them. Don't get scammed, they are not worth it. read more

I contacted what I thought was a local business called Bracebridge appliance repair. It turns out to be registered under an umbrella company called Allfix.ca in North York. A serviceman was deployed to check on an oven appliance that was overheating. After paying the initial service call of $169, the quote to repair the oven was $750. I was told I would have to pay up front half the money and did receive a receipt from complete home and Business solutions. The parts were supposedly ordered through Smeg Canada and I was told there would be a 4 to 6 week wait till the part came in. At around the 6-week mark, I kept calling the main number and was told that someone would get back to me but no one ever did! This went on for some time with frequent calls, emails to all fixed with no reply or return calls. After another month went by. By I had a call from a manager named Alan who was apologetic for the delay stating that their technician had quit and the parts had returned to smeg Canada so they would need to be reordered. He reassured me that oven would be repaired in a week or two's time. He even gave me his contact number which he stated he doesn't normally do and that I could call him at any time. A week later I called him to get an update and have left several messages to no avail. This company is shady at best steer clear of them. I had some red flags when I first contacted them. I wished I trust my gut. I've now lost my 50% deposit and I'm trying to recoup this through the credit card company. read more

BEWARE: Ottawa Fireplace & Chimney Services does not exist as an entity except on its website. Its job estimates and invoicing are by Complete Home and Business Solutions, a registered business name to Allfix Services Group Ltd. Receipts for payments are issued by Allfix. I had no way of knowing up front the entities involved so due diligence was not possible. I was given an Estimate which included $375 for a new chimney cap and $325 for installation. They later determined this work was not necessary yet refuse to return my $700. Allfix's position is that because I signed the Estimate that they are entitled to all charges. The Estimate also included gas fireplace cleaning and flashing and metal gap sealing, both of which services were performed abysmally. I regret paying the 1661 invoice in full. Allfix, Complete Home and Business Solutions, Ottawa Fireplace and Chimney Services and their employees do not have integrity and do not care about their customers. read more

BEWARE...company goes by allfix/complete home and business solutions. I was quoted a price for a single car garage door of 2,700.00. It took almost a month to complete and was done poorly. A used shaft that was installed by this company that didn't work properly, sounded like a train when the door was lifted. I called and complained about it and was told by Julian it sounds like it's supposed to. Within about a month the door started sounding like nails on a chalkboard when it was lowered. I complained again, again I was told the door was installed properly. The top and bottom of the door on the right side was higher than the left, was told it was the cement floor. I sent many pictures and videos and apparently it was still fine. These are amateurs trying to be professional and are failing miserably. They don't have a clue. In the end I ended up spending another 1,000.00 to have my garage door working properly. The door is sealed tight, my cement was fine and so was the frame. The mess of a job again was done by Allfix, (one name) or their second name Complete Home and Business Solutions. My experience with a bad company services Recently had a very disappointing experience with Complete Home & Business Solutions - They are the same ALLFIX { 99 Ingram Drive Unit A, North York, ON, M6M 2L6, Tel:6474245333 } when they repaired my freezer. The issue was with the evaporator fan motor, LG part number EAU61524007. While the repair was completed, I was shocked to see the invoice. Complete Home & Business Solutions charged me $365.88 for the replacement part. I later checked the official LG Canada parts website and found the exact same part, EAU61524007, listed for only $91.62. This means I was charged approximately four times the manufacturer's price for the part. I understand that repair companies have overheads and need to make a profit on parts, but a markup of this magnitude feels excessive and exploitative. I am very unhappy about this significant price discrepancy and feel that I was overcharged for the repair. I would advise others to be cautious and to verify part costs independently before agreeing to repairs with this company. Also, we must not forget that since they are repair company they may have special prices from the LG, this means that their price is more than four times. After I sent them an email with a copy of damaged part, a picture of the new part box, a copy of the LG website showing the part number and the price, and a copy of the invoice. and without receiving any response from, I tried to contact them for several days to speak with any responsible person, and the response was always that they would call you, and this has not happened. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, aka miltonappliancerepair.ca, burlingtonappliancerepair.ca, oakvilleappliancerepair.ca--all landing pages designed to make them look local and legitimate, with implied 5-star reviews and a Better Business Bureau logo. We were SCAMMED on an appliance repair. They installed a part that we did not authorize that basically jump started the fridge to make it appear it was working. We were told it was a relay but in reality it was a relay overload device which the technician did not indicate, nor get our consent to install. They charged $300 for labour for about 45 minutes of work. When we later hired a brand authorized technician, he said that part was "very bad" and could have fried the compressor (although it was already pretty much dead, hence the need for the repair). This technician also had to repair the wiring that AllFix damaged, which cost us more money. We tried repeatedly to contact AllFix by email to get a refund and they wouldn't respond. We contacted the Better Business Bureau, whose logo AllFix uses on its landing pages. AllFix is NOT a member of the BBB and did not respond to their requests for contact either. I was in a rush when I contacted them as our fridge was basically dead and did not have time to consult reviews. If I had, I would have seen they have an absolutely horrible reputation. It's very hard to recognize them ahead of time because of the landing pages they use but be very careful when booking any appliance repair with sites similar to the ones I listed above. ALSO, the fine print on their invoices says that payment indicates the client acknowledges "successful satisfactory repair" although you cannot know that before paying, nor do they tell you about this fine print when they charge you. They should not be allowed to operate. Judging by our experience and many others who posted reviews here, they are only interested in taking people's money while providing incredibly overpriced service that does not only leave the problem unsolved, but can/does cause damage. read more

On May 12, 2025, I approved an estimate for a screen door and gave a deposit of $150. to Complete Home and Business Solutions also known as Allfix. As the door needed to be a taupe colour, it was ordered from their supplier on May 21, 2025. It was June 16, 2025 before the door was installed. Unfortunately I was unable to be home that day. I paid the balance June 17, 2025. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the door was poorly painted. There were spots where the white was not covered, spots where the paint had run and paint on the screen. It was an unacceptable, amateur job. As well, the latch was not working properly. I called June 18, 2025 to have the technician return. My exact words were "to fix the latch and the paint job". The technician was busy and did not return to my home until July 6, 2025. He fixed the latch but said that the supplier did the paint and he( the technician)would not fix it. The technician took photos and I called the company and was asked to send photos. I sent 13 photos on July 9 to "Nicole" who said she was passing them on to management. Now the company refuses to repair the paint on the door. Their reason is that I waited too long to contact them and let them know. Actually, I called two days after installation. The door is a poor quality and terrible paint job if you need it painted. I needed this specific colour because I live in a condo corporation. And my bill was over $500. The company claims that I have no warranty on this item and all they are willing to do is sell me a new door. read more

July 3, 2025, Montréal, QC I was deceived by this "legal entity", it looks like they operate by other operating/commercial names. Many issues: (1) I lost my condo mailbox key and needed a key done. I thought I contacted the trustworthy very well known company Locksmith when I visited this page: https://www.locksmithmontreal.ca/fr/mailbox-lock-replacement and called the displayed number 514-613-4737. But, when I received the bill, they went by the name "Complete Home & Business Solutions". (2) The technician was very late and finally arrived 1.5hr after the scheduled time frame 12pm-14pm and did not call to advise us. Of course we were waiting for him at home since 11:30 instead of going about our businesses. I had to call their office 3x to ask for updates. (3) Upon inspecting the job at hand, the technician said it would costs $295. We were chocked at the high price, but were desperate at that point to get it over it (we have already invested over 3+ hours waiting). Mid-way into the job (once he removed the previous lock system), the technician then said it would cost $65 extra for the new lock and $85 to install the new lock. $295 had ballooned into $445 before taxes. Are we even allowed to say "stop" the job at that point? We felt cornered. Do not get any type of service from this company. Absolutely terrible. They are very deceitful and do not care at all about customer service. Their sales representative told me I would have a seven year warranty on the garage but when I got the invoice after paying the warranty was not there. When I inquired about where it was their service representative "Brad" who was very condescending, rude and antagonistic just kept repeating do you see it on the invoice? Do you see it on the invoice? When I told him no I did not and asked where it was, he kept repeating the same thing. I told him that the sales representative told me they guaranteed the doors for seven years and that was a verbal contract he told me that it would not hold up in a court of law and would be seen as hearsay. So right off the bat they are deceitful liars. Then they called me several times because they wanted to give me another door that I did not order. I told them I wanted what I was paying for. Then they showed up at my house and installed the wrong door that wasn't even close to looking like what I ordered (very unprofessional). Then they tried to charge me full price. A few months later, when winter came the garage was very drafty and had a light showing through so I called them and they asked for pictures. I couldn't show them this from the front as the weather stripping was on it. I unscrewed the weather stripping (not attached to the garage in any way) and took a photo of the giant gap on the right side so their service rep could see it. Then I get a phone call from Brad, the very same rude and condescending customer service rep. Instead of saying how can we help fix this issue? and sorry you had a problem, what can we do to make things right? immediately Brad says why did you take the weather strip off? You shouldn't have done that. I told him the gap wouldn't be able to be seen fro the front and as it is not attached to the door it shouldn't be an issue and again he kept repeating we didn't ask you to do that. So right away I know they are going to try to pin the gap in the door as my fault rather than the person who installed the door. I asked Brad what he would do if there was a gap in his door and a company like the one he worked for was talking to him like this or had left a gap and was trying to pin it on him rather than coming to fix it and stand by their work and just kept repeating that he didn't comment on hypothetical situations. I told him I would call the better business bureau and he did not seem to care (If you do a quick search on them you will find that they have several complaints from the better business bureau) Really wish I had of looked more into them before giving them my business.The company owner of Complete Home and Business Solutions, Jessica Parmley - Jackson should be ashamed to have a person like Brad working for her. Had them out recently to fix a glass shower panel that my glass door is attached to by hinges. The glass panel is coming out of its track and popping it back in does not help. Filled out thier form online and got a call two days later on a Saturday, described the problem and they were able to send over someone a few hours later that same day .... All the service guy did was dismount the door, reseat the glass panel, and silicone the crap out of it. And of course I have to wait two days before I can put the door back on myself. And for this work, I was charge just over 200 bucks! I wanted this repaired properly, Not a patch job. When asked why the charge was so high for a big blob of silicone, he says, well it was an emergency call ..... But of course, I never asked for emergency service, only that it needed repairing. They sent someone the same day, that's on them, it was NOT an emergency and could have been scheduled for any time. So 189.00 + tax, for a bunch of silicone. And of course, since all there was there originally was silicone, I do not expect this "repair" to last very long. So watch out in Ottawa, you won't get competent service. UPDATE: within one hour of using the shower, after waiting 4 days, as opposed to the service guys recomendation of 2 days, to allow the blob of sealant to cure, the glass partition, as predicted, has started moving out of its track again. Complete waste of money, and do they follow up? I've called them more than once, and they say they are taking my complaint to management, and that I would be contacted again to try and address the issue, but did that call back happen? Needed a sliding back door. Technician came without a card or brochure, but had knowledge of Doors. I asked for exactly the same door. 6 week delay, another technician came. Instead of 9 to 11am, wanted to come at 9.30pm. I refused. Eventually door was ready for installation. It was a basic sliding door. No blinds inside as previous doors. Told those cost 3 times more. Door put in well, but charged an extra $700 to replace wooden piece doorframe rests on! Door came to $5,300 in the end. Asked for a receipt three times. None sent. I believe I have been taken advantage of. At least the door works, but this is not a company I would recommend to my friends. Before booking the appointment with AllFix, I texted pictures to AllFix and asked for a quote to replace a broken door handle that fell off. The representative told me that he spoke with his supervisor and it would be around $70 to $75 and the locksmith would come and give me the exact price. Later, I received a call that the locksmith was running late and would come an hour later than scheduled. Two locksmiths came and quoted me $400, which is far more expensive than the around $70 to $75 I was quoted over the phone and far more expensive than any other locksmith quoted me! They charged me $49 plus tax service fee for coming. They did not do any work to repair my broken door handle that fell off. I would have never asked the locksmiths to come out, if the representative told me that the price was $400 instead of around $70 to $75. I called AllFix about this. I was told that $70 to $75 was the starting price (which was different than what I was initially told.) I was promised a callback, after the representative talked to the locksmiths. BEWARE: Ripped me off last week for car keys. I called the office, gave them make and model of the car and they said it would be $120 for service call and $220 for keys. Then when the locksmith showed up it was now a 2 key minimum. $325 for first key and $225 for second. I told them that was more than I expected but OK. Then after key rekeys the car, he shows me the invoice. There was a $70 "diagnosis fee" (which makes no sense - I showed him a shattered key upon arrival) a $200 fee for the rekey code, and a $120 programming fee. It was done in 1 hour and came out to 1200$. Keep in mind, all these hidden fees appeared once he had REKEYED MY CAR AND THE OLD KEYS NO LONGER WORKED. So basically if I didnt pay up my car had no keys... I called the office to voice my complaint but no response. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They'll rob you for all they can. I submitted my name, phone # and e-mail address only for an online quote from 24 Locksmith Toronto and received a phone call from a Julian hours later. I told him his reply was too late and that I had already booked another locksmith and that I was not interested. Some how this company got my home address and sent a locksmith to my front door claiming they had an appointment. Not having ever met the locksmith I booked, I allowed the man to start working on the seized door lock not realizing this was not the locksmith I had booked but someone that 24 Locksmith Toronto had send without my approval. I only realized the scam when the locksmith I booked showed up with the repair half done. I don't know how they got my home address but this is one shady company, not what you want from the company installing new locks in your home. Just like in the other reviews, I tried calling the office to voice my complaint but all I got was the run around. Tech said he had to get a code from the manufacturer to programme the new code. Could have to wait hours for it. Really? Then there was the Programming fee. If I could give less than one star I would. I phoned to request a gasket replacement on a front load washer. I gave the info and she told me technician would have the part with him. I asked about the dryer stacked on top. No problem for technician. First tech did not show for appoint. Left work for it. Then make another appointment for that afternoon..guy shows up in a car...no instruction of the issue...no part said he will need a second tech to take the dryer off. He says yes you need a new gasket..I know that it has a chunk missing. So I paid a hundred dollars to find out I need a new gasket which was what I asked for when I called. Then guy phones to tell me I wasn't responding so tech could not come to see me....when I say I was not happy because I thought my washer was getting fixed today...he gets mad at me and starts to tell me I am not a technician so I cannot diagnose the problem. read more

I had 2 technicians come to my home in December to fix my microwave. They fixed it, cost me $550 and when I checked it later, the power was on but it was not heating. I called them that day December 2 and explained that it was not heating. The technician came back and said it needed another part. I never saw him again. 2 months later, over 60 calls to a calling centre with no feedback ever and I finally got to speak to the owner. At this point I was exasperated and as an owner he should have recognized this and started with an apology but instead talked over me. He explained that the part would cost $550 and after much back and forth he offered me first $25 and then $100 as a discount. I should say that at the beginning had I know these charges I would have elected to purchase a new microwave which would make more sense than parts of over $1100.
