They spent a good deal of time looking at our lot to figure out what would be the best way to position the work in order to adhere to the requirements of the permit, while avoiding taking down as many trees as possible, and avoid disrupting things like the fence we already had installed, etc. They are clearly "big picture" guys who are obviously customer-focused. I can't tell you how different of an experience this was from their competition. Nobody else who came out to give us a quote bothered to look at things from this angle. Nobody else listened to me when I told them I was really concerned about taking out trees. Everybody else gave me the "well this is how it is, little lady" attitude. But John and Slim were all about instantly finding a solution that incorporated my needs. Their ability to work is largely dependent on the weather, because the state has restrictions on them: They can't work if it rains. I was flexible, as this wasn't an emergency job. Yet, they very much kept me informed of their status. Their level of communication was amazing and I truly appreciated this. I can't tell you how many times we have had contractors literally just show up on our doorstep unannounced - or ghost us. But John and Slim were amazing. We were always informed. It was great. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if you A) want the job done right and B) want your permitting process to go smoothly, you need to hire someone who is licensed by the state.
