Wow! They are just a middle man debt collector - and a terrible one at that. They treat any person like a second class citizen even if you are paying your balance in full. They make mistakes constantly, are disorganized, yet are not accountable for anything that they do. The irony of the power of being a collections agent - they are able to harass people, act disrespectful and rude. I sincerely hope that management reads these reviews and does something to improve their business practices, but that is unlikely. The other thing I noticed is some people are extremely professional and read off the legal stuff each and every time I spoke with them and others, well, I won't go there, but anyone who deals with Alliance One gets an extra dose of good karma from me because they truly test your patience. The manager, Ernesto M, did do his best to assist me but I feel so sorry that this is the job he does day in and day out - hopefully it pays well. read more

So I had late fees for an old traffic ticket, they garnished may wages and took my state refund 3 years in a row. I have paid them almost $1800, waaaaayyyy over what was due. I cannot wrap my head around the fact that they are allowed to intercept refunds and garnish wages without verification of the debt. I am owed over $1000 back and will go see if I can get in with a judge since the high school drop outs working there still say I owe them. I'm still waiting on my refund from them some how was over charged $1500 had to go threw too many thing's to show debt was,an has been paid off, since like 2010. Found that out after I moved to Georgia. I had to pay $1018 to clear everything.... sent a cashiers check and they said they never received it. The bank put a stop payment on it and issued another one. Being in contact with this company the whole entire time they knew we had put a stop payment on the first one and sent out the second. During this mess they had received the first one and attempted to cash it....Of course, it didn't go thru. Received the second one and it cleared my license. Everything is fine, right? WRONG!! This company is saying that I still owe them for the first cashier's check that they got!!! Annnd have been taking my state taxes to be cover it!! So they're getting paid twice!! I hate alliance one. My fault for not keeping track of my monthly bill but to add $300, damn. Then they harass with calls and letters. There going to suspend my license and maybe a search warrant but the only way to avoid the whole situation is pay bill in full? Damn, they think I got $681 lying around. I let a simple fix it ticket go WAY past due for its sign-off. There were complications because I sold the car, and forgot about the ticket. I got a bill from court and Alliance stating that what would have been completely without charge was now $600! I went to court to beg for some relief, hoping to avoid the Alliance window all together. No such luck. As it turned out it was just a matter of THEM signing me up to see the judge instead of the court's window. I showed the judge that I had sold the car, (a fact that they confirmed on the spot with the DMV) Explained the hardship that amount would cause me, so the Judge reduced the fine to $50, and a $25 processing fee. Word to the wise, Its better to face the music, even if you think its too late. They were totally willing to listen to my story and help hook me up with the Judge who could change the fine. read more

Alliance one overcharged me 720.00 waited 4 months to send my money back to me. A check came after 13 calls to them, short $32.00. every call to them came with Lie's. Was told the state Franchise Board would return monies after six month's truth is if you don't get it back from alliance one after a year, by law, they can keep it. there is no law to get it from them other than small Claims court. Paid my bill. The checked cashed on my end and my bank account visually shows their stamp confirming they withdrew my money. Six weeks later they call again for their money because I haven't paid. Idiots! Now, with nohome office, single parenthood, school and a night job, I have to race around to scan, print and fax my proof. These people work with attorneys through Global Client Solutions and National Debt Relief. NDR talks so fast you can barely follow what their saying except they CLEARLY tell you how much money you can save by letting them handle your payments. When they reach an agreement with one of your creditors, however, they don't clearly tell you with every debt they settle, they take 18% of the original debt and put it in their pockets, along with Global Client Solutions and Alliance One. They set an over the top, high payment that they take from your checking account twice a month but NEVER tell you they are also taking thousands of YOUR dollars for attorney and "service fees" every month! RUN LIKE HELL from these scammers and handle your debts yourself by calling your creditors and being honest about your financial situation. They will work with you. Plus, no matter if you get a company to negotiate for you or you do it yourself, your credit score is ruined and will not recover for many years. So, why take the money you have and give it to crooks! read more

In this morning, I checked a credit report. My FICO score was dropped about 120 points because the Alliance company reported. However, the Alliance company has just told to Experian credit company without checking whether a name pointed by the company is my correct name or different person. I argued about this to the Alliance company. They has just answered as "we don't know anything and this is NOT our fault, you just call the credit company and you have to solve". Don't pay these people, your better off going/contacting creditor or court first and trying to settle with the them first. If you must deal with these bunch of low life's, get it in writing first. I called on behalf of my Brother-In-Law to settle a ( Cell Phone Ticket ) he received in Oakland CA. Spoke to (Devon Heart) if that is his real name. Gave him all the information about the ticket, Brother-In-Law, D.O.B., DL, SS. They had NO PROBLEM TAKING MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION AND CHARGING $515.00 ON IT ASAP. But when I ask him for a conformation number, he said their systems or portal were down and I would RECEIVE a email by the end of the Day. I have called this AllanceOne everyday to get my email conformation of my credit card transaction. But keep getting one LIE AFTER ANOTHER. THIS AllanceOne company doesn't deserve one star but you have to click one so you can write something about this AllanceOne company. I fill sorry for anyone who must deal with them but before you do, try dealing with the creditors or courts first. The best way to teach this company a leson is not to do business with them. (NO MONEY NO BUSINESS). I will be contacting the Alameda County CA Court about the business practices of this AllanceOne company.
