Great effective team. Got my leaking turbo charger replaced with them back in December of 2025…read more Wanted to give it some time since it wasn't a small job to see how it is after a couple of months but it proved to be perfect. I'm definitely trusting them with my next repair

My first two encounters with this shop back in the winter of 2025 were good. The first time, a…read moreblond, kind mechanic did some troubleshooting due to a noise I was hearing but wasn't able to find anything, and didn't charge me. The second time, in December, my check-engine light went on due to the EGR system. I had had work done on this system before, so it was troublesome that the check-engine light was illuminating yet again. When I brought it to this shop, I was hoping to see the same mechanic who helped me before (Isaiah?). I didn't, but another mechanic did, a tall, dark-haired man who was also kind (Joel?). He replaced my EGR valve. The check-engine light stayed off for 2-3 months; then, it tripped again (not a commentary on "Joel's" work as I know the fuel/air intake can be an issue). So, I took it back to this NRH shop (7659 Blvd 26), hoping to see "Joel" again and see if he could remedy the problem, hopefully for minimal or no cost since I'd already paid $225 to have this repaired. Alas, "Joel" was not there. Nor was "Isaiah". Only one guy I'd seen before in my previous visits was still there; I assume he is the manager, perhaps the owner. All other personnel I didn't recognize, including a stocky guy in black sweatpants whom I'd never seen before. The "manager" and a very young man, perhaps his son, told me to come back the next day because the "main" mechanic (I assumed "Joel") was out sick but would be back tomorrow. The "manager" told me to bring my receipt; I don't mind that, but with the work having been done recently, in December, couldn't they verify it via their computer system? I showed up the following day, receipt in hand, and showed it to the "manager". He went in the shop to talk to the "stocky guy" and returned a few minutes later, stating that the part that was installed was defective and that he'd just charge me for labor. What I'm wondering is how he was able to determine that the part was defective so quickly if that was really the case. Things didn't add up in this and subsequent situations. On 02-28-2026, I wish I'd never handed over my keys, that's for sure. Sitting in the waiting room for 90 minutes or so, seeing more customers come in one after another, gave me time to think. "Isaiah" is gone. "Joel" is gone. All new people. They said their "main" mechanic would be here today, but he's not. No computerized system of tracking receipts/work. I really doubt that EGR valve is defective. I started to have a really, REALLY ... REALLY BAD FEELING. It was one of those kinds of 6th-sense feelings that you should NEVER ignore. So, I got the ball rolling ... With some resistance, I was able to get my car back. I also had to ASK for my receipt. That was another red flag. Anyway, as soon as I left, something was blatantly not right. At first, I thought, "Oh it's just me." I had to push the brake pedal really hard to get my vehicle to come to a ROLLING stop, not an on-demand stop. It wouldn't do the latter at all. So I drove it around this strip-mall parking lot for a bit. There was no way I was going back to that stocky guy and risk more damage. I managed to get on the highway, but the problem was becoming more difficult to manage in busy traffic. I exited as soon as I could. I took it to a Discount Tire out of not knowing where to take it because I'd been a customer of theirs in the past. Well, THAT didn't do me any good! Then I saw Mavis across the street had "brakes" on their sign, so I took it there. At Mavis, two up and coming mechanics came out, to help me, James & Mustafa. Colton assisted as well. I popped the hood. Lo & behold, a Wal-mart plastic shopping bag was deliberately stuck and clamped down between the air filter and the intake duct. Then James found that my nearby brake line had been disconnected and that a pair of channel locks were still lying near one of my hood-locks, under the hood during my unexpected trip to Mavis. That explains why that hood-lock now sits incorrectly above the hood and the hood lock pin is broken. Gee, thanks Stocky! All of this to say this: I think what's going on here is the "manager" of this 7659 NRH Auto shop on Blvd 26 is probably either not paying his qualified mechanics enough and/or not giving them enough time off (They're open everyday, not that that matters unless you want to increase your auto repairs and waste your precious time.) To deal with not enough mechanics, he brings in a willing party ("Stocky") who is obviously not qualified (ASE certified). So, James and Mustafa got me safely back on the road, and Colton helped smooth out the rough spots in my shaken-up state upon seeing the damage done. It became apparent that when James and Mustafa were taking off the Wal-mart bag, that Stocky had already damaged the edge of the intake duct. So, Stocky has costed me $30 for a new intake duct and $100 for the broken hood lock, not to mention wasted time and the frustration with a business/persons that lie.

JD garage has been a lifesaver to me today and I am SOO grateful! I was desperately looking for a…read morereliable garage this morning after City (shitty) Garage Euless quoted me an outrageous quote of replacing wheel studs, and tried to threaten/trap me with "we cannot let you drive the car, it needs to be towed to leave our premises" and I'm so glad I got referred to this garage by one of my best friends! The customer service of JD garage was EXCELLENT! The guy who answered my call and helped me through was SO helpful (I think his name is Imad), he had me email them a picture of what was wrong, got back to me with a reasonable quote and got it replaced for me, and the entire process was SO smooth! I have definitely sang praises of this garage to my coworkers all day, and I will be hands down switching to JD for all my auto repairs/ maintenances from now on! Thank you guys SO SO MUCH!

There is nothing wrong with my converter. JD Garage lifted my car, tightened two loose screws, and the rattle disappeared, not joking. They were extremely friendly, and the nice lady at the front desk was so hospitable, and they clearly are very transparent. I feel bad walking away for free, but they will absolutely get my return business. That level of service is just unheard of in this day of age. I recommend, %. More than just because it was free, but because it didn't have to be. They would rather want business than screw someone over. Thank you guys very much.

Scott Skid the owner is not standing behind his company's motto and service. Within 48 hours and 49 miles of me getting my vehicle back from them my check engine light came on and a message saying engine compartments are hot. Heath the service manager had me sit in their shop for 3 hours because the shop foreman was servicing other vehicles, only to tell me my spark plugs had residue over them and fouled out. I advised Heath that I didn't bring my car in with bad spark plugs on a check engine light. Heath stated it must be coincidental. I advised Heath when the initial inspection was completed there wasn't any concerns for misfires. Heath turned me away. I was forced to attempt to resolve the issue on my own. I even brought this concern up to Scott Skidd, the owner and he is refusing to take accountability for what his team did. He keeps saying they never did an inspection on my vehicle when they clearly inspect vehicles everytime they are brought in. He doesn't even know how to repair vehicles. I have a 2018 BMW 540i that i take great care of. Had just purchased brand new run flat tires $1500. Who would purchase BRAND NEW TIRES on a vehicle they don't take care of?!?! I never should have let this shop touch it. DO NOT TAKE YOUR FOREIGN VEHICLES TO THIS PLACE. THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. They will not honor their service commitment to you.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!…read more I tried to call and get some information to help out a friend. Who was charged nearly $800, and then had to take it back because the issue wasn't corrected. They then charged him to diagnose the same issue again (in service departments, this is generally considered a "comeback" and the customer is not charged). Even after the second diagnostic, they still did not have a solid solution. Call #1: Called this morning, I was told "they would not speak to me about an issue with another customer's vehicle". Then she hung up on me (These are not medical records, it's common in our industry to have some else call to get a better understanding of the situation). After repeating calling back, she finally actually answers the phone, and again is extremely rude and unprofessional. Then hangs up on me again. Keep in mind at no point was I ever rude with her, used profanity, or raised my voice. I even asked her if we could speak about this situation in hypotheticals. Nope still refuses to speak with me, all the while yelling at me. As a service manager in dealerships myself for nearly a decade. If this were one of my employee's they would be fired on the spot. If you are the owner of this business, I would actually love to receive a call from you. If not, I guess you're okay with allowing a horrible employee to run your business into the ground.

The experienced mechanic quickly diagnosed and fixed my leaking power steering issue. It turned out to be a crushed washer and a loose nut, and they resolved it promptly at a fair price. Honesty in the automotive repair industry can sometimes be hard to find, so I wanted to highlight it here. They could have easily told me more work was needed, but they didn't. They fixed only what was necessary, earning my trust and future business. Thank you, Integrity.
