Two years ago, this company built a fence for us ithat has 3 separate gates. Within one year the first latch fell off. Like, the weld broke and it literally fell to the ground. Tonight I notice the second latch also no longer works. I wasn't happy with the craftsmanship originally, had to call them back for several issues including warping, unsightly edges and multiple shades of paint to cover up welds. Now I'm annoyed enough to write this review 2 yrs later. I paid almost 7k I would think my latches would have lasted more than 2 years. Do yourself a favor and skip this company. read more

They built my wood fence gate as well as a mentally challenged 3rd grader could. It wouldn't shut they day they built it. I had to call them 5 times to get them to fix it. All they did to fix it was hack away at the edge. 3 years later, it won't close again. Luckily for them it's past the warranty period. I spent half my Saturday fixing it again so it could close. Jerry and Tony are like 2 goof balls who don't communicate very well with customers. They refused to fix my fence at first, because they claimed it was warped without ever bothering to see it in person. If you like spending hundreds of dollars on shotty work and wasting your weekend re-doing their job for them, please give them a call. read more

Allied did a great job on my fence. We had an issue with my property line, and they were able to work with me to get the line corrected efficiently. They were also the cheapest estimate I received, I got 3 other estimates from other local companies. I went with a blend of vinyl coated chain link and iron fence. The quality of the work and the material is great. I would definitely use them again if I need more work done. DON'T USE THIS FENCE COMPANY. LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND DISHONEST. I had an estimator come out and give me a proposal, which I signed on June 15. He said they would get me on the schedule to install and complete within four weeks. A few weeks later a received an email regarding installation beginning the week of July 16th. I was frustrated that it was going to be an extra week, but decided to let it go. No one showed up to install on the 5th week, which is when I emailed and called for an explanation. No one called me back. Eventually, I got in touch with Jerry. I told him the reason I chose Allied was because they would install in 4 weeks. He assured me I was next on their schedule and installation would begin the following Thursday. No one showed on the following Thursday. Jerry again assured I would install the following Monday after at 11am. Guess what!? No one showed on that Monday. I want to point out each time this company told me they were going to install, I stayed home from work without pay, and they never showed up. No email, no phone call, nothing. I did get a WEAK phone call from Josh, the lead installer. Didn't apologize, said I was next on the list with no apparent date, just gave me a bunch of BS. This company told me my fence would be installed within four weeks, it has now been 6+ weeks. I cancelled my project and now looking for a new fence installer. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. THEY WASTED MY TIME AND MONEY. read more

They went over the bid with me and also made recommendations on how to make the fence as sturdy and long lasting as possible. We called and emailed several fence companies to get a quote. Allied was the only one who responded promptly (some didn't even reply) AND who came out to give a FREE accurate estimate rather than ballpark one on the phone. They worked with us on all our concerns and gave us several options. We ended up going with a horizontal cedar fence and it looks beautiful! In retrospect I wish we had asked about staining and sealing the fence as I'm sure they could do a much better and cleaner job than we will. Everything looks very solid. The gate works great. Ours dogs now have a safe secure environment to go crazy in. We've had a lot of work done on our house lately and had multiple horrible experiences with contractors. I built a new house in Lakeway and decided to go with Allied Fence based on comments from others. In the end, the fence turned out nicely but there were many issues along the way. * Attention to Detail We went with a shadow box fence but when the fence was built, several sections of the fence did not have shadow box. One section of the fence used a mirror approach and another section of the fence used a half shadow box effect. * Lack of pro-activity I felt like I always had to track down Allied Fench to get something done. As the vendor, you should be trying to reach me to complete the job and fix the outstanding points. * Misled on information In the beginning of the project, Allied Fence conveyed to that masonry left over from house could be used for the stone columns, resulting in some savings. Over the course of the project I received various messages about the stone but never a definitive answer that I Allied would not use the stone until the end of the project (several weeks later). I can understand not using the stone, but misleading the customer on what is possible comes across as a bit devious. * Still waiting for information I requested a quote several times for sealing/staying the fence. I have yet to receive any information on this point despite my repeated requests. This is quite disappointing. read more

Provided a bid fast and repaired in a reasonable amount time and for a great price!

We needed a fence company to do a small job on a tight time schedule (remove a metal gate into a greenbelt to comply with HOA rules before we moved). Allied was the only fence company that responded promptly and completed the work within a few days (they even came out on a Saturday). The person who answered the phone was polite and responsive. The installer was prompt, professional, and did a fabulous job. We are extremely happy with this company, their customer service, and quality work. We had a pleasant experience and we highly recommend Allied Fence and Security. read more

I wish I could give a better review for this company, but unfortunately, I have to stay with two stars. We just moved into our house, and have 3 dogs. I called and scheduled Allied to come and do an estimate for fencing for us. David came out and was a nice enough person--walked the perimeter, explained the property lines and was very thorough. I asked for a quick return on the estimate since we have an HOA and it would take time for approvals. We really need the fence as soon as possible. This was on Wednesday morning. David committed to providing the estimate later that day or early Thursday at the latest. We didn't hear back, so I called David Friday morning and he thanked me for the reminder and promised the estimate by end of day--he said they had been very busy. So I called and scheduled two other companies who came out, measured, and I had both estimates with drawings by the same day they came out to measure. I finally received the estimate from Allied on the following Tuesday, and a follow up phone call from David after I commented on their information line over the weekend, that I had not received the estimate. He was not the nicest and mentioned that maybe his estimate got lost in my Spam...however, I am a technology person and very cognizant of all of my online accounts-email and social. So, just to close: I would ask Allied how long it will take for your estimate, and also, how long it will take to actually do the work once you get the estimate. And we did choose another company whose pricing and reviews were more competitive (though Allied's price was not the highest for sure). read more

TERRIBLE!!!!!! Did junky work first time around, had to call several times to even get someone to come out and look at the TERRIBLE job and to fix it. Tried to give them a second chance and FAILED again , didn't even show up to give an estimate. DONT waste your time, there are lots of other companies that actually want customers. read more

If you want a fence repaired, or a new installation call Allied Fence to do it. I called two other fence companies. One told me they don't repair fences they didn't install, and the other one was so slow in getting back with me I had already told Allied Fence to go ahead and do the repairs. The work crew did an excellent job, and finished ahead of schedule. read more

I contracted with the company to instal 4 step rails and 3 special tie downs for patio screens. They made a serious error in the step installation. They quickly returned, evaluated the situation, and assured us that they would stand behind their work at their expense. We were very surprised at their honesty and character. Initially we were happy with the fence installed by Allied Fence but right away our gates started to hang up & bounce as we opened them. I could see that the 45° support rod was welded so close to the hinge that it caused binding. I'm ready to install automatic openers on my gates but the bouncing and lurching will cause the openers increased difficulty. I asked them repeatedly if they would come out to detach and re-weld it further away from the hinges. I've made 10 phone calls now and I'm done calling, my only hope is to tell others that you will get a fence built but when there's any problems they will not stand behind it. We're also missing a couple of post caps which allows water to get inside the post and eventually will prematurely rush the post. Both of these items would take an hour to two hours to fix but neither of them are being addressed. How sad that the company will let his repetition be tarnished by two hours worth of work. read more

I just had a fence installed with Allied and we are extremely pleased with both the quality of the fence and the installation process. Because of the continued delay with our pool project from Cody Pools (who I would strongly discourage anyone from using) we had to continue to push Allied back on the fence project, even after they had bought all of the material to do the job. Well, I just read the bad reviews this company has on Yelp, and I disagree with these negative evaluations. I volunteer at Mayfield Park in Austin and through the Austin Parks & Recreation Department and courtesy of a grant from the Austin Convention & Visitors' Bureau, we contracted with Allied fence to build and install over 200 feet of wrought iron safety fencing along the historic back rock wall at Mayfield. Our contact with Allied was their Josh Payne. They were extremely professional, did a mock up for us so we could get a Certificate of Approval from the City's Historic Preservation Department, then once approval was given, completed the job within the bid and on time. This is first class work. If you are interested in seeing their work first hand, please come to the park off Mo-Pac and W. 35th Street. It is a commercial fence with heavy duty steel posts and solid iron pickets, but as long as the City keeps it painted it should last for what, 100 years? These folks deserve this rating. After checking BBB ratings I contacted 5 fence companies. I got 3 comparable bids for a high quality, cedar privacy fence with steel pipe posts. Allied gave me the best customer service response, the lowest bid, and prompt arrival on the day of the installation. Jerry met with me to discuss specifics before-hand and he was very helpful throughout the entire process to assure I was totally satisfied. I wanted a sturdy, beautiful, superior fence at a great price, and that's what they delivered ! Allied Fence has an BBB A+ rating and zero complaints, and now I know why ! I would recommend Allied Fence without hesitation. I would use them again, but this fence will last me at least 20 years. read more

We had Allied come out and build a pressure-treated wood and cattle panel fence around about an acre of land that we use as our back yard. Pros: they were reasonably priced, worked quickly, and their employees were relatively neat. Cons: Initially I was quite pleased with the looks of the fence but about 6 weeks after they finished boards started warping and detaching. After waiting a week for someone to get back to me, I was told that they would be happy to come out and repair those places but that there would be a charge. Apparently in the contract Allied the states that pressure-treated wood will warp. If this is how bad their wood warps in six weeks, I cannot wait to see it in the year! And the issue of warping was never discussed with us prior to installation. We paid extra for the pressure-treated wood to prevent such issues. Now we will have to go back and replace several pieces of fencing along with screwing screws into every post as allied only used nails. I cannot recommend this company for any type of wooden fence. read more
