READ THIS BEFORE DOING BUSINESS WITH ALLIED. Oct 2017 I purchase a fence from Allied and paid them over $8500. Last week a tree fell on my property and by the grace of God only 1 panel of my fence was destroyed. I have left their marketing sign on my fence for 5 years. Also, I have made several recommendations to home owners that resulted in new business for Allied. I contacted the original sales rep, Mr. John Iddings to repair the fence. He was a week getting the quote to me and I patiently waited. Today he sent me a quote of $880 to repair the one 4x6 aluminum panel. I looked up the cost of the panel at Home Depot. It is $109 for the panel and less than $50 for necessary accessories a total of $159. I called to ask him if he could give me a better quote than over $700 for labor for about 1 hour of work, repeat business. He was rude and inconsiderate. He even said he didn't care if Allied received a bad review. I did some research on line and feel this price is way too high. I paid about $8500 for 344 feet of fence. Now 1 panel that is 6 ft long and 4 ft high needs replaced and he wants almost $1000 for that. I am not impressed. I hope someone from Allied will get my name from Mr. Iddings and offer me a fair price for this repair. read more

Jeff from Allied Fence stopped by to give me an estimate for a new fence installation. On his way out, he ran into my brick fence and knocked over a few bricks. That's when the drama started... He claimed he was "set up" and didn't see the bricks. He then decided he won't bother giving me an estimate after all since he was upset. Overall, a very unprofessional experience. It's very important to take responsibility for one's actions. He definitely lost my business for his company and I'll definitely not recommend them. If your employee is not being professional, it reflects poorly on the company. I'm actually glad this happened because I can only imagine if I gave them the job and an accident happened - they will probably not take responsibility. read more

Be very wary of this company's business ethics. Allied installed two short sections of fence at my home. The installer used a post drilling machine to dig the post holes (instead of a shovel). One of the holes was drilled 6 inches from a (very visible) irrigation valve cover causing $500 in damage (see picture of damage) to our irrigation system. I have offered to pay them $2,500 of the $3,000 invoice. Allied's owner (Todd Edlin) maintains that Allied is not responsible for their worker's negligence and refuse to pay for the damages. Allied is threatening to lien our property rather than acknowledge their installation mistakes and make us whole. Buyers Beware!!! RUN! In June of 2022, I spoke with Michael Cooper of Allied Fence about construction of a privacy fence in my backyard. I have no idea where/how the disconnect occurred but they built a single wall of fencing. No sides, nor a closure, just a single wall of fencing in my backyard. Why would I need this? What private resident would need this in the middle of a subdivision? It's a hideous eyesore in my backyard that my HOA has since fined me for & my other neighbors have complained about!! I asked them to remove it, immediately after I realized the job was complete. Of course, they would not and argued with me that it is indeed what I agreed to. Why would I ever??? Todd Eiland, the president/owner has made sure that I know he has no consideration for his customers and actually takes pleasure in burying them in legal fees and placing liens on the home owner's property. Each time I was told I would receive a call next week. I have yet to receive a call. It will be 5 weeks with no install date. This will be my first fence. Is this normal? Hired these guys for a repair through our contractor. A joke from the start. Needed to replace fence, gate, and electronics-including auto exit, car programming, safety sensor, and keypad . 10ft of fencing took 3 weeks. Gate was made well, but railing was wrong size. New one 3 weeks later. Gate controller stopped working after 5 minutes. Won't work with the car controls. Had to have them come back to re-install the auto exit (they forgot). And the controller still doesn't work unless you are standing 1 ft. From the gate. Workman was curt and left before we could test it. This has been going on for 3 months. Hire ANYONE else. read more

If I could give no stars to this company, I would. I was stood up for an appointment with NO call to cancel, no explanation, no apology! When I called 4 days later, he said "well, I said I would call you when I was on my way". I said you made an appointment for after 4 pm that day! Four days later I have received no phone call. Allied is a fantastic company. Kenny helped us design a cedar fence for our yard a few years ago and Robert (and team) installed it. 4 years later, the fence is holding up great. We called Kenny a few weeks ago to have an additional fence installed, and it was fantastic to have Robert (and team) to install second fence. Robert is a master craftsman, the team is professional, and they took a lot of extra time to clean up all the limbs and brush that they had to trim to make room for the fence (leaving the property better than it was before the install). Kenny is a pleasure to do business with, and we could not be happier with the results (not to mention, we received a fair and reasonable price to make a great improvement to our property). They were recommended by our landscaping company so I didn't do as much research as normal so I guess this is partly my fault. Had an old fence replaced with nicer fencing- and the fence does look great- but later found out that they made multiple holes in our irrigation system (8!)- the irrigation repair man said he had never seen something so egregious...most people would at least tag where they made the damage but this wasn't even identified. When I contacted them to let them know how much damage had been done- their response was simply "I don't think our guys would do that". I originally wasn't going to write a review but then I found out that in addition to that damage- they also damaged our outdoor lighting!! I debated giving them 2 stars since I like the fence but then I remembered that they didn't even measure correctly during the estimate so actually not a single part of the installation was done correctly. It's been just over a year and the paint is peeling off like crazy. This fence company does a lot of work in our area, so I thought it would be a good company to use. I had a wood fence installed approximately one year ago. The sales representative (John Iddings) recommended cedar wood, so that's what I thought I purchased. After the fence posts began to warp, I found out that it wasn't cedar that was use for the posts. No worries though, Allied Fence Company offers a 5 year warranty on cedar fences. When I called to inform them of the fence posts warping and the nails no longer holding the fence properly, the reply that I received stated that it would be an additional $450.00 to repair the unsatisfying work that they had initially installed. Then, when I commented on their reliability, John decided to send me a copy of the fake warranty that they use as a sales pitch when you're shopping around for Fence Companies. Did not complete work. Paid to have a chain link fence put in for a small dog. Job was almost complete minus a corner piece to seal off the area so the dog could not get free. The installer did not have the remaining pieces of hardware to complete the job. I stated if he could just drop them by I would finish. He stated he would be by the following Saturday. I waited a week and a half, no show. I called the project manager and he stated he would have him out within a couple days to finish. That did not happen. Three weeks out and I just went and paid for the final pieces at Lowes and completed the job myself. I will not use or recommend this company. These guys came out to install a privacy fence and they did a superb job. John came out to do the estimate, and he was very pleasant and answered every question I had. Then, Robert and his team came to install and they did a great job in very good timing. They were done with my back yard in two days and I have a pretty big back yard. I would recommend them if you're looking for quality fencing. They even made sure the fence was dog proof at the bottom for my two dogs! DISHONEST!!!! Their representative came to our home to measure for installation for a wood privacy fence. The quote was given to us for a cedar fence. We did not want a cedar because it is more expensive. We told the guy that we wanted a quote for a pine privacy fence and he emailed us back and said it was the same price for pine as it was for cedar. He stated that there was no difference in price because he was able to get cedar in bulk. We contacted four other fence companies in ATL for quotes and they all agreed this guy was being dishonest and the quotes they gave us were $1000 less than Allied quoted for their fence. I've had zero customer service from Allied Fence. We put in for a quote with Home Depot and this is who they use to install fences. It took awhile to get the guy out to do a quote and I called the same day to go ahead with repairs. I've had to call every time to find out why they have yet to contact me. I was told my number was "lost" at some point and they were not in my area of town when they thought they would be. They finally showed up and took my 50% down payment and it's now two weeks past and we still have yet to get a call to schedule! We are at a month from when I first contacted them and the only thing we have is 50% less cash! I spoke with the "Manager" and I was pretty much given the run-a-round of it's because of weather, they were busy, etc. Still no excuse not to contact a customer and explain what is going on. I was told I could fax the cancelation form to the office for a refund. Great customer service, huh? Not! I have a call into Home Depot to see what they plan on doing for us.
