He spent extra time educating me on my engagement ring and the vintage center stone. He clearly loves his work and is passionate about gems. Kurt was very professional and thorough throughout his inspection. I brought in a new engagement ring I had purchased online with two goals in mind: 1) verify the center diamond was the one I hand selected for the ring and 2) the diamond and setting were worth the amount I purchased them for. He performed an entire inspection of all diamonds and at the end of it compared it to the GIA certificate I had. His values were very close, if not the same as the certificate (some more in favor, others not, but any difference was miniscule and up to personal judgement). So that confirmed I had the diamond I ordered. His appraisal seemed knowledgeable and accurate, coming out higher than the appraisal provided to me from the online company, and higher than my original purchase price. Needless to say, made me content with my purchase. The knowledge that Kurt shared throughout his hour long inspection was great to learn. Like what a strong fluorescence meant and how it affects the diamonds color appearance in sunlight. Would highly recommend! read more
