We often have to call to confirm lawn care, followed by several calls when they fail to show on our designated day. It would be nice if they gave us a call or sent an email letting us know their schedule has changed. Also, if you're not watching them, they do not take the yard waste with them, or even remove it from the sidewalk. They've also cut my flowers with a weedwacker. The guys doing the actual lawn care are nice. They're fast, and affordable. Just be prepared to have your grass grow to about ten inches before the Spring care starts.

In the design phase Doug quickly grasped our intent - to screen a neighbor's utility building - and offered great suggestions on which plantings would work best. His design incorporated multiple large trees at a very reasonable price. The job was complicated by multiple underground utilities, and during the installation phase they worked closely with Julie on-site to ensure they were avoided. Doug hand picked the major trees at the nursery, and on planting day positioned all the plants to our approval. The crew was efficient , professional and very courteous throughout the job, and quickly addressed any concerns we had. Since moving to Illinois 17 years ago we have employed three landscaping companies for major planting or patio installations. Scott, Doug and his crew are by far and away the best we have had. He never provided a contract for me to sign so a deposit could be provided. No follow up, no communication from office and an awful condescending attitude from Scott. We agreed and he wrote it down as part of our quote. After being told 3 different times that he would come on a certain day or sometime that week, still we had no one come. The one time he offered to come we said we were out of town, but that they could do it anyways and he responded, "we can do when you're back. We're normally extremely busy but will find an early day open." They had no problem taking out the "paid" part of the job almost immediately, but now after 2 months of waiting for the trees to be removed, Jeremy, the owner, told us to "go buy a shovel I'm not interested in doing it." Therefore, not completing the job that was agreed upon and in writing. Jeremy is extremely unprofessional and unreliable. We were willing to pay for this from the start, which is why we contacted him in the first place. All we wanted was for the trees to be taken out and now Jeremy is sending us text messages saying "I just want to say thanks for the nice review. Do you think I'm a deceptive sales person to get your measly $600 you don't know this but I'm worth about 10 million I was going to help you dig those trees up or cut them off at the base it didn't matter to me this was to help you out for the free service. You're one review won't affect my 400 good ones take care, pal." Super professional from the owner, huh? 0/10 recommend. Go with a more reliable company.
