I loved the fact that a) he responded at all vs just ignoring the request, b) was upfront and honest about his timeline vs just taking the job and overextending himself. Once I told him that we were in no rush, and would be happy to wait, he proceeded to text back and forth with me helping me get an idea as to what the job might cost. He made recommendations about plants, etc....and all this without officially having secured my business. Towards the end of July, I reached back out to see what his timeline looked like. Again, he responded almost immediately. He apologized for not getting back to me sooner, and said he would come out to measure the area, and discuss the job in more detail. In my mind, he had absolutely nothing to apologizing for. He set a date to come out, came out exactly at the time he promised, and helped us figure out what would look good. He provided a written, detailed estimate, which he adhered to...we paid exactly what he quoted. On the day of the job, he showed up as promised and on time. He laid out all of the plants, and allowed us to move them around several times until we got everything exactly the way we wanted it. His team worked quickly and neatly. The end results are amazing! We hired best budget tree service to take out trees and bushes in our yard. After coming out to…read moregive us a quote, he gave us a price for the bushes and told us he'd dig up the trees we were looking to have removed for free to keep for his own personal use. We agreed and he wrote it down as part of our quote. After being told 3 different times that he would come on a certain day or sometime that week, still we had no one come. The one time he offered to come we said we were out of town, but that they could do it anyways and he responded, "we can do when you're back. We're normally extremely busy but will find an early day open." They had no problem taking out the "paid" part of the job almost immediately, but now after 2 months of waiting for the trees to be removed, Jeremy, the owner, told us to "go buy a shovel I'm not interested in doing it." Therefore, not completing the job that was agreed upon and in writing. Jeremy is extremely unprofessional and unreliable. We were willing to pay for this from the start, which is why we contacted him in the first place. All we wanted was for the trees to be taken out and now Jeremy is sending us text messages saying "I just want to say thanks for the nice review. Do you think I'm a deceptive sales person to get your measly $600 you don't know this but I'm worth about 10 million I was going to help you dig those trees up or cut them off at the base it didn't matter to me this was to help you out for the free service. You're one review won't affect my 400 good ones take care, pal." Super professional from the owner, huh? 0/10 recommend. Go with a more reliable company.

Pre-paid the entire summer and in the end his service was fine but I felt I could get an equal result for less money by doing it myself. There was a subsequent billing disagreement. In trying to calmly resolve the dispute with Jeremy he told me I should "be a man and pay his bill," that I was an "asshole," and that I should "fuck off because he was sending me to collections" and then he hung up on me. In all the call lasted maybe 90 seconds. I wish I recorded it. My credit rating is above 800, as I pay ALL my bills on time; and while I would have comprised with him had he been decent (because I understand how tough being a small business owner is), I certainly would not after this interaction. Unless you want to deal with a petulant man-child, go with another service.

Horse s*** instead of advertised compost (mushroom) Really…read moredisappointed because they offer a product online and deliver something disgusting. According to their website: 50% topsoil, 25% torpedo sand and 25% compost (mushroom compost). I got the delivery and they were paid for it. When I arrived from work the front yard of full of flies (in March) and it smelled like rotten eggs and dog POOP together. They are big fresh? clumps. I tried calling them but they were already closed. I'm not a new gardener but I have never used mushroom compost. The next day I got on the phone and I was told that it wasn't mushroom compost but HORSE manure (poop). The guy on the phone said some people use it for their vegetables. He didn't offer any solutions and now we have s*** under our shoes, gloves and the poop smell in the front and back yard. I tried mixing worm casting and the worms stopped moving. I don't know how long this has been processed, if it is fresh, or even what is the ph because the guy on the phone had no idea. I have felt defeated and like crying because I have to use something that would never intend to buy. The risks of using animal waste to plant fruits and vegetables is salmonella and E-Coli. This really sucks.
