It took some time to get someone to answer the phone. When I did speak to a woman, she told me that they only had 1 room, and the price was $159, because it was a Friday night and their rooms were in high demand. I googled hotels in or near Russell Springs, Ky, and ended up finding a much cheaper rate through Booking.com, thankfully. -The light outside our room works intermittently -The exterior door has no option for a second lock. I am hoping the maid doesn't open the door and let my dog out. I did hang the "Do Not Disturb" sign, so fingers crossed -The "wood" floor has a soft spot a couple of feet inside the door. -The interior adjoining room door has painters tape over the hole where a deadbolt used to be. They have 1 of the 2 chairs sitting in front of the door, I'm assuming the chair is supposed to provide some sense of security. It does not. -The chairs and ottoman appear dirty/stained -The tv stand that also holds the mini fridge and microwave is sinking in the center. -The mini fridge is clean and cold, which I really appreciate -The TV and remote work as they should -The AC was off when we checked in but cooled the room pretty quick. There is an obvious musty smell coming from the unit -The shower head is broken. The piece that should cause the water to spray on you was flipped 1/4 turn, causing water to mostly spray up on the wall. I was able to move the piece so it somewhat sprays down now. That said, I don't think I should have to do maintenance on a rented hotel room -There is no stopper for the tub, so a bath is not an option. -There are cigarette burns on the edge of the tub -There are 2 small towels, 2 wash cloths and 1 bath mat available and appear clean. It would be nice to have extras available since the towels are so small -The toilet bowl appears to have water stains (?) of some sort, which makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the entire room. -the toilet paper holder is missing the piece that holds the roll. -The toilet paper feels like the cheapest on the market. -You have to hold down the toilet handle a while to get the toilet to flush -There is no stopper for the sink, so if you drop something in the sink, good luck getting it back -The king bed is comfortable and the bedding seems clean, however, the bed makes a loud noise any time you sit down, or turn over, or stand up. -The outdoor pool is closed, covered and has no water in it -The only gym equipment i have seen is a treadmill sitting outside, folded up and leaned against the building. -I like that it is located within walking distance to Arby's and a gas station -I like that there is some grass area behind the hotel for my dog to do his business If I had another option in close proximity to Russell Springs, I would have turned around and asked for a refund as soon as I walked in the door. I know times are hard, and expensive, but... For this price point, I expect a lot more than this place offers. A person should be able to lock the doors with a deadbolt, both for the exterior door and adjoining room, at the very least! I will not be staying here again until they do some serious maintenance. I am extremely disappointed and cannot recommend anyone stay here.

For coffee both options were available, but why not the teas? Still, better options than hotels that currently only offer coffees in the rooms (they still have the coffee machine!). The heat pump did not have AC (the cool option would not even turn on). Instead, the machine would switch from heat to fan. In the morning, this made for a hot atmosphere after a shower. Additionally, the digit numbers on the display had numbers that were not full meaning I could not tell a difference between a 68 and a 69. The outlets, wall and on the lamp both did not work. The lamp itself did not work. The bathroom, the light flickers if left on for some time. The water pressure was also a bit odd. So the hot water has different levels of pressure and coming out of the faucet, while the cold water came out slower and with less pressure. This was apparent in both the sink and shower. All these are maintenance issues. Note to self: This hotel does not have the Travel Channel, but does have the History Channel and a good sports channel package with CBSSN, ESPNU, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN U, FS1 and SEC networks.

I had to work and the Internet was good. Nice trees around and waking up to birds is super relaxing. The bad. This cabin plus the bathroom is just too small. There is no good place to lay out and open your luggage or hang anything up. No place to really lay out bathroom items or take clothes in when you are showering. The bathroom needs better ventilation. It smaller super mildewy. No mildew any where but the mildew musky small was strong. I wish the sheets had been softer and thicker. If you think "I am camping" the cabin is a perk. If you are wanting hotel style room, this is just not roomy enough.

My wife and I had been driving so long, that we thought it would be okay until we pulled back the sheets and saw how dirty the room truly was. The sink had some kind of unknown substance on it. As soon as the woman rounded the corner she had an immediate attitude and grew more rude and condescending as the short conversation went on. But still, I asked politely for new sheets explaining that the sheets in the room were dirty. She said "nobody has ever complained about the sheets, you are the first. Either way housekeeping takes the key with them at night" which after checking the reviews, that was bold faced lie. Quite a few people have complained, actually. So I then asked for a refund and she said "no refunds, you booked through a website too. It's just one night, it's not a big deal." So my wife and I then left justifiably upset. We grabbed our things and went 17 minutes out for our way to a new hotel. I would not stay here even if someone paid me, it is dirty, the staff was rude and did not even attempt to accommodate us. If I could give it less stars, I would. We arrived around 9pm, and was out of there within the hour. The room was clearly never cleaned Very disappointed as I grew up in this town.
