I took my kids on a long weekend to the old coal train in williamsburg ky in the middle of july. The hotel is a very nice place. The staff were all so friendly and kind. The free breakfast was amazing. Great location close to the interstate and other attractions. My kids really enjoyed the indoor pool and my son who plays football didn't have to miss his daily work out cause they have a gym. The only issue we had is they have the hardest beds I have ever tried to sleep on. They are so hard we ended up leaving a day early cause I couldn't sleep. The last night we were there I ended up sleeping in the chair. But other than that it was an amazing hotel. read more

Great night stay right off highway. Was on road trip in afternoon and decided where we would land for night. Did our research between hotels with independent reviews and decided on this Hampton. Got on Hilton App and made reservation with our pet traveling with us. Online check-in and electronic room key was a breeze. GPS sent us in the wrong direction so had to call front desk for clarity. FYI, property is on west side of hwy75. Once at hotel there were plenty of luggage carts and parking. Our room was clean and good size with a nice size bathroom including hairdryer and extra towels. Our room included a king size bed which was comfortable, had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, closet, coat hooks, good size television, dresser, desk & chair, side chair with side table. I do enjoy the 24hr. coffee in lobby with flavored creamer. There is an indoor pool which looked clean but did not have time to enjoy. The breakfast was your typical Hampton self serve with cheese omelet, sausage or bacon, our morning had country potatoes, oatmeal, some breads, waffle maker with toppings, variety of juices and cold cereals. The only staff we had interaction with was breakfast personel who was cordial and working hard to keep area clean and stocked. Would stay here again if in area. read more

Stayed for one night. Very convenient location right off the exit, walking distance to the grocery store, gas station, and restaurants. First impression from outside was nice and clean. Friendly staff. Room looked and smelled nice and clean as I am sensitive with cigarette smell and this room had none. Bathroom was spacious but shower was a bit small for such a large bathroom. Having so much towels was a plus. Bed was nice and comfortable to my liking. Indoor pool had too much chlorine that it irritated my eyes so much I had to retreat back to my room sooner than I expected. Served a pretty decent hot breakfast with omelettes, sausages, waffles, oatmeal, cereals, yogurts, apples, coffee, juices, limited choices of breads/pastries, and assorted spreads/condiments. We got a top floor #313 with no one above us, so only heard comings/goings of neighbors...who leaves at 4:45 a.m? The front desk staff was quick & efficient albeit surrounded by construction materials as they finish remodeling the lobby. Great hotel stay. I really liked this hotel. It's part of the Hilton group of hotels and Hilton rewards apply here. I stayed here recently with my husband and while it was a last-minute choice to stay here (we were caught in a downpour), it was definitely a wise choice. The hotel itself is updated and everything looks new. We were offered a room with a king bed on an upper floor. The room was not huge, but it was well-appointed, the furniture was new and recently updated, the bed was super comfy (hello, good night's sleep), the bedding was luxurious, the bathroom was big and had decent lighting (that's very important), the WiFi was fine, and the towels were fluffy and new. The room came equipped with plenty of outlets for charging devices (yessss), a coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge, coffee/tea, hairdryer, robes, Neutrogena skincare products (including facial makeup remover towelettes), iron/iron board, tons of hangers, and an iHome station, etc. The breakfast in the lobby was excellent for the price. The continental breakfast included eggs, a waffle bar, sausage, gravy, hot homemade oatmeal, numerous pastries, fresh fruits, yogurt, bagels, cereal, coffee,creamer, juices, etc. My husband said the homemade oatmeal was great. Items were constantly replenished by the staff, so nothing was lacking. The pool was great, very clean, warm and relaxing, even though no hot tub was to be found. That was a bummer, but it was fine, we didn't really miss it. The gym was nice, too, with newer workout equipment and plenty of space. It was definitely one of the nicer hotel exercise rooms we've seen recently. As for the employees, they were great, helpful and courteous. Since we arrived without a reservation and didn't book on a third party site like we traditionally do, the concierge gave us a discount, anyway. I think our room was $99, which was fine. Not bad. Not great. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the lobby was always clean. However, the hand sanitizer was empty on our floor for the entire three days we were there, and mask-wearing was not enforced. The "free" breakfast was terrible; powdered egg shrapnel, a fermenting fruit cup, and snot-like oatmeal. I'm sure there's a lot of cost-cutting due to COVID, but I always remembered Hilton brand hotels having decent breakfasts... guess times are changing. The rooms were sufficiently clean, but noisy; the walls are quite thin and although I chose the room I did because it was at the end of the hallway on an otherwise empty floor (27 other rooms available on the same floor), a noisy guest was booked right next to our room. Why? Aside from neighbor noise, the fridge compressor sounds like a jet engine warming up, and the HVAC exhaust vents flap every time the wind blows... not a restful place with the noises throughout the night. The room was okay for our weekend trip, but not some place I'd seek out to return for a "nice stay." read more

This place is located right off the highway with lots of fast food eating spots and gas stations near by. There's also a Mexican steakhouse nearby which wasn't very good. We came out here hoping to see a Moonbow at Cumberland Falls State Park. The drive is not bad at all about 1520 minutes away. The hotel staff was very nice the food was delicious. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are ok. BUT the building itself is horrible. The wall paper in the hallways are all pealing or have sloppy patches that are peeling. There are huge scuff marks and stains on the walls in the bedrooms. That is just cosmetic and could be over looked. However, on the 3rd floor, there is a massive water leak. So much that there are several LARGE garbage cans in the center of the hallway and have been there throughout the duration of my 5 day stay. In these cans is dirty water, trash and broken ceiling tiles. The only reason why I did not switch hotels immediately was because there aren't many options close to the University and I wanted to get my points. Don't stay here!!!! read more

We made this a stop on out trip south. The hotel staff should have made travelers aware they had 3 basketball teams staying on property. They could have blocked rooms for travelers who wanted to grab some sleep. But they did not. I called the desk and they did nothing. I eventually went down to my car and had to very direct before they got off their chairs to deal with it. They talked to one room. Not even the loudest. As a former diamond with Hilton, this is an example of why it is former. read more

We always stay at this Hampton inn when we are in Williamsburg. It is clean has an indoor pool and a gym. This trip it was full. There were softball teams, students checking out the local college and people like us fleeing from the path of Irma. 6 million people without electric in Florida this place is heaven. They offer a breakfast every morning. It's your typical breakfast buffet, scrambled eggs, pastries, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, waffles, juices, etc. Hilton has temporarily changed their policy to allow pets due to everyone displaced by Irma. This Hampton Inn is a palace. They treat you with kindness and are so friendly you will never want to leave. My vehicle broke down on I 75 about 15 miles from this hotel. I was lucky enough to spot it on the Google list of things close by and call AAA to book myself in for one night. I stayed two nights I enjoyed it so much. Its general manager is a lovely woman from Michigan by the name of Tammy Jo. This is the most delightful and kind manager at any hotel I have ever stayed at. She cooked chicken and dumplings for the staff and invited me down to eat with them. Can you say just like home oh my goodness it was heavenly. Her kindness radiates through her staff and the friendliness of the entire team there in Williamsburg will never be forgotten. If you're looking for someplace out of the way thats friendly fairly priced clean comfortable and quickly located off I75 please Do Yourself Right and stay here. Clean, tricky elevator situation (not unsafe, just slow and small and there is only one), the free breakfast is monitored by people who look like they do not want you to have the free breakfast (but they're still nice, don't be afraid). The small little town is charming and if you can, go to the (only) local bar, the Butchers Pub, for some really friendly people and a GREAT burger. Great hotel, my boyfriend and I have stayed here three times; it's a great stopping point between Michigan and Florida. The staff is friendly and there's always rooms available. It's clean and looks decently new. Continental breakfast is included and they have good variety of food. The only downfall of this Hampton Inn is that there are no nice sit-down restaurants nearby, only fast food; Burger King, Krystal, Wendy's. There's not a whole lot in Williamsburg to begin with, and this Hampton is probably the second best hotel in the area besides the infamous Cumberland Inn. This Hampton is brand new so you get all the latest comforts in your room from a flat screen tv to free wifi. The whole place was very clean and tidy. Has the standard Hampton continental breakfast, but they had powdered eggs... Lots of fast food joints are around, if you don't feel like it junk you can hit up the Wal-Mart across the street and grab some fresh groceries. read more

We stayed one night driving thru. It was super. Room spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was good too. Eggs, with two kinds of sausage and potatoes . Cereals, waffles, tortillas if you wanted to make an egg wrap. Good. Staff very helpful. They give you a bottle of water each when you check in. I was very disappointed that after paying over $100 for one night I was only able to connect to the internet via the "good" Wi-Fi if I paid an additional fee...I guess this is a Hampton Inn policy...the complimentary Wi-Fi was pretty bad...it was however good enough to allow me to write this review. To be fair the the room was clean and the bed was super comfortable...but come on...the days of paying for decent WI-Fi should be in the past ESPECIALLY at an establishment of this quality...Shame on you corporate...I understand that the people here in Williamsburg have nothing to do with this policy and they are running things well. read more

This is the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. We were put in a room on the third floor that was under construction. There were multiple buckets down the middle of the hallway to catch the water that was dripping from the ceiling, drywall dust everywhere, the room numbers were on the floor, the elevator inspection paper posted in the elevator expired 04/2019, our hotel room door handle locked us out, the general manager was extremely rude and unpleasant. We forgot our personal belongings in our room, we went upstairs and our door handle was nonfunctional. The front desk reissued us a key that was again nonfunctional. The front desk attendant came upstairs and was unable to gain access to our room. The front desk attended said the only time this would happen is if there was someone in the room (which we knew there wasn't). At that point we asked for a screw driver to change the batteries in the door handle. The front desk attendant then said she was calling her general manager who was 45 minutes away. The house keeping was unable to locate a screw driver or batteries as it was in a locked room that they did not have access to. We got our tool kit from our vehicle and bought batteries from the gas station across the road. Replaced the batteries and the door opened. We were then met by a very disgruntled general manager saying we should have waited for her as she was 5 minutes away (yet we were told it would take her 45 minutes to get there). Upon leaving the hotel we were greeted by four extremely pleasant police officers as we exited the elevator. The police were told we were breaking into the hotel. We were changing batteries in the hotel room that we had paid for and it was well before checkout time. Not being able to gain access to a hotel room is an extremely immense safety issue, especially if a child were to have locked themselves in the hotel room. A complaint has been filed. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

We stayed there 3 nights and it a very nice hotel..everyday they cleaned our room very well and refreshed all of our toiletries, coffee, etc...the wifi service was great...no problems...beds very comfy.. everthing was very clean...nice free breakfast....nearby fast food restaurants, walmart , gas stations, etc...the area itself was a little congested but the one reason I didn't give 5 stars is because outside the hotel and that whole area really is because there are literally HUNDREDS of sparrows that fly over head...it's a huge flock and the statement hundreds is NOT an exaggeration. Nobody we asked had an explanation for this...We have never seen anything like it before and we have stayed at hotels near the mountains that had a congested area of restaurants and hotels...Needless to say you better get into the hotel quickly before you are bombed with bird doo..!!! and you may need to have your car washed as well.. read more

One of the best Hotels I have been to. Super nice staff, Great breakfast and EXCELLENT FRESH coffee. The room was nice and very clean! I loved the way the bathroom looked, So modern! Nice in ground pool as well. Giving it 4 stars because the hallways were not air conditioned, I am not sure if it was a maintenance issue or what.
