About a month later, she sent out a letter to her patients saying she was "retiring". An ethical doctor would probably stop taking new patients if they were getting ready to retire. Why would you take on new patients if you knew you would not see them through the process of getting better? Then a couple months later she sent another email to her patients saying she wasn't going to retire, but was joining another practice. Something is just not right here. I am now seeing a functional medicine doctor in Montana that is wonderful and not money driven. A PIECE OF ADVICE FOR EVERYONE, YOU DON'T NEED TO SEE A FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE DOCTOR BASED IN OC. I can understand how frustrating it is when labs send surprise charges, which is why I always recommend that patients try to find out from Quest and all other labs up front what all their charges will be. I'll be the first to say that I have trouble always meeting the goals set by my nutritionist but they are completely reasonable . The program isn't complicated. The initial investment isn't covered by insurance, typically and it's expensive but includes a extremely thorough panel of labs you will never get from your regular doc. The naturopath doc reviews them with you. Then steps, water, tracking foods/macros, personal training twice a week, body scan every six weeks and pow wow with your dietician or health coach every six weeks. Everyone really seems to care about your progress. My trainer pushes me but we laugh a lot so it's hard work but fun. Their naturopaths are very knowledgeable. And the chiropractor is also excellent. Both my health coach and dietician are extremely helpful with holding me accountable. I have nothing negative to say about this program. I completely and without hesitation recommend Stark.
