Used AllSpace San Marcos for almost a full year. Every part of working with them was extremely easy. Storage units are very clean, and I never had any issues. Have used all space for almost 8 months and have never had issues. Frank is the best at any sort of "problem" you may have and is straight forward and won't hassle or haggle you. Never had issues with access and the company is prompt on giving notices for any form of closures and that is basically only on holidays! I rent U-Haul's pretty consistently from various locations around town for my business. I prefer renting from All space since it's friendly,specially Frank. He makes it easy to check in and out. The vehicle's that I pick up are already clean and have a full tank of gas which makes it easy to get started on a job. I suggest going here if you want a good experience and nice vehicle. read more

This is the email I sent to AllSpace. They are NOT responsive to customer needs. Period. ================================================= This is not the first time that personnel have been totally absent during posted hours. In addition, there is another major issue. One of the reasons I rented from Allspace was because you had Sunday access. I was told you had 'temporarily reduced access' to not providing Sunday gate access due to COVID-19. That is BULLSHIT. I guess we can't catch COVID-19 monday thru saturday, but SUNDAY, watch out. Your customers WORK. We can't always access our storage units on week days. It is both TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, and a violation of the agreements signed, to stop allowing access on Sundays without an appointment; do that on Tuesday's. Weekends are the only time many of your customers can access their storage units; the customer's needs should be put in front of the resident manager's desire to take the weekend off - that's part of the job. It is also TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE to not take credit cards; when we signed up, you did - and it only took a YEAR for you to again start accepting them. What's up with you guys? Finally, it is TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE to not BE THERE when you're supposed to be. It costs your customers time, gas, and anxiety, and it costs you goodwill on the part of your customers. If the manager's can't be available when they should, then HIRE NEW MANAGER's. read more

The manager lied to me about everything. They advertise a half off. But when I rented 3 units he told me it was for the other units not mine. He was very rude to us all the time once we signed. When I canceled my units he made me pay for another month. Telling me if I only had one unit then I would not have to pay. But because I had 3 units I had to pay an extra month. Then after I pay he tells me he has a waiting list and can rent the units the same day. I would not do business with this company ever again. They are crooks and lie to your face. I had a wonderful experience here. I rented, online, the cheapest truck and used it for 20 miles; it was very affordable. The guest service area was meticulously decorated for the holidays. The staff were very friendly and treat you as if with familiarity and made the process very quick and easy while thorough with information. They kept good spirits, start to follow-up, and I'd highly recommend endorsing this business. This facility has repeatedly provided my best experiences with self storage facilities. It has the feel of a mom and pop business as the on-site managers are always there and provide good service. The assistant manager is also great. I have had 2 separate 5' x 10' storage units here off and on for 7 years or so. Now that they take payments over the phone I have no complaints. Like previously mentioned by another review, they provide a lock when you sign up and give you a personalized gate code for entry. Prices are good and reasonable, management is responsive and honest. Edna, the assistant manager, took time from her busy schedule to work with me and my elderly parents to make arrangements for moving us from a large unit to a smaller one. It didn't matter that there were other pressing matters. She took time to help us. The 5-star rating is for her. The units themselves are what you'd expect from a storage facility. Nothing exciting. The costs are reasonable. Right now, their special is half off for the first 6 months! We were able to capitalize on that to be able to benefit my parents who are on a very limited fixed income. I appreciate Allspace and am glad my parents are doing business with them. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would for just customer service. I went in just to turn in a key for my father In law and the lady was extremely rude. I had my baby in my arm because It was really hot outside, the lady which I'm assuming is owner gave me attitude rolled her eyes and said I have to make sure the unit is empty. I said ok I can wait then, she scoffed at me and made a nasty comment "you can't be in here" BUT very nasty. I said I'm out! I was there to simply drop off a key had she said "oh I just need to make sure the storage is empty but you need to step out the office" oh I Glady would have waited in my car with the AC but no she LITERALLY looked at my daughter and I AND gave me a dirty look like no you can't be in here! I was shocked this lady is rude as hell! I wouldn't recommend plus my father in law said this place sucks . I personally would recommend going to the storage place next to San Diego county credit union. On San Marcos boulevard they are NICE, clean and cares about customers! read more

I understand the how one might give a bad review over the 6 month half off deal but the manager Tom cut me a great break. I got close to $800 behind and he let me make weekly payments to catch up. It took almost 8 months to catch up. He also didn't send my unit to auction when it came time. I've had some form of storage since 2003 and Tom has been the most patient and understanding manager out of 4 other storage facilities I've used. So if the sign says 6 months half off and it's only 4, it's still a good deal. If it wasn't for Tom's compassion, I would have lost all my late mother's possessions. read more

Advertising a 6-month, 1/2 off special. So I went in and verbally confirmed this deal. After 4-months, they jacked me up to full price. I figured, no big deal, I'm sure any half way rational management will make this right. Very wrong. Terrible dealings that ended up with them saying sorry, we don't honor that deal anymore. I said, you know there is a big sign outside still advertising that deal?? They acknowledged that they were aware, just haven't got around to taking it down. Meagan was the best there. Not only is Allspace professional affordable and secure but the operators really care about their customers. I spent the afternoon clearing out my unit on a very hot day. Meagan brought me an ice cold Gatorade and checked in on me to make sure I was doing okay. Then she even found me a hex screw driver when I needed to break down some furniture to fit in my vehicle. I am a current customer of this business using a 10'x12' interior storage unit. Since I have not checked out yet, I can't comment on how they handle the check out process but getting a unit at this facility was really easy and I was surprised how clean my unit was. Like all storage places, they charge a $15 admin startup fee, however Allspace includes a free, new lock that you get to keep. Its a family run business and the staff is limited to the ma/pa that own the facility. For the monthly rental fee, they offer automatic credit card billing which I prefer, so it takes the fear of a late payment out of the picture. When I signed up, there was a promo for 50% off for the first 6 months which makes this place the least expensive option available. Their regular prices are pretty much equivalent to all the other places so once the promo is up I won't be stuck paying an inflated monthly fee. With the 50% off promo, I am currently paying $57.50/month for an interior, ground floor unit. UPDATE: After being a customer for 8 months, I moved my items out of storage. Ending the storage lease was easy with zero hassles. It took about 5 minutes to complete the check out process and there were no hidden costs. If I need to rent a storage unit again, I will absolutely return to Allspace of San Marcos. A+ customer service and extremely clean storage units! read more

Do not use this facility. They are not a honest establishment. They tell you one thing and do another. To expensive and not worth the price. Also if you pay with a debit card they still charge you an additional fee. It's a joke. read more
